[spoiler= Card A]158379t.jpg

If you draw this card during your Draw Phase, you can Special Summon it instead of conducting your Normal Summon this turn. During the End Phase of the turn this card is Summoned, send this card to your Graveyard. During the End Phase an "Ant of Destruction" you control is sent to the Graveyard by its own effect, you can discard 1 card from your hand to Special Summon this card from your Graveyard with 0 ATK and DEF.

[spoiler= Card B]159121n.jpg

Discard 1 card from your hand to increase the ATK of this card by 300 during Damage Calculation only. When this card destroys a monster by battle you can draw 1 card. If you choose not to, your opponent must discard 1 card from their hand.

Red Ogre Samurai - a very good offensive card that offers excellent hand control. 1800 base ATK is a bit overpowered, especially considering the deadly combos one can pull off with this card. I can't call it an outrageous product of inspiration, but it is fairly pleasing to the brain. I can't say I really liked the image. The background is questionable, and the picture itself could've been a lot better designed.

Ant of Destruction - a heavily situational card. Honestly, comparing this with similar cards it seems quite useless, considering its low stats, robbing your Normal Summon during the turn it is Special Summoned... wasting a card isn't really worth it to bring it back either, especially if its dismal stats drop even further. Balance-wise, this needs a heavy rework. I was satisfied with the picture, but not with the background. I will say that the concept is a bit twisty, which I'm rather satisfied with.

Breakdown:

-Image: AoD: 6/10 /// ROS: 5/10

-Balance: AoD: 3/10 /// ROS: 7/10

-Concept: AoD: 7.5/10 /// ROS: 6/10

-OCG: AoD: 10/10 /// ROS: 10/10

-Originality: AoD: 6.5/10 /// ROS: 5/10

-Overall: AoD: 33/50 /// ROS: 33/50

... >_<.

Well, getting down to the details. 5-point penalty round.

1) I didn't like how Ultimate Rare was used for ROS. Rare fits AoD best. AoD 1, ROS 0

2) ROS has a lot more usability in a wider variety of decks in contrast to AoD. AoD 1, ROS 1

3) I just now noticed the antlers on ROS' head. Extra coolness. AoD 1, ROS 2

4) ROS was a pre-existing card, while AoD was made for the contest, a small plus. AoD 2, ROS 2

...

5) Honestly, why "Ant of Destruction"? There's nothing really destructive about this ant. From its stats to its effect, I can't relate it to "destruction" at all. I don't like how the name doesn't fit the concept. AoD 2, ROS... 3

Well, I guess that decides the winner.

Red Ogre Samurai wins, by a rather(!) small margin. But not bad, to both of you.
