Is the Abrahamic God Self-Contradicting?

OPENING STATEMENT-

Yes, he/it is self-contradicting.

How can something/one exist yet not exist?

How can something/one be physical, but not bound by physical laws?

How can something/one exist within time but somewhere exist out of it?

If all things NEED a creator, then from whence came God?

Many other things.

If god knows everything, then does he know what he will do next? And if he does then is he powerful enough to change it? Therefor making himself wrong?

The only answers I ever get is

"God is so amazing he can do anything he wants! He doesn't have to fit into YOUR standards"

What are your views on these contradictions?

OK, finally we'll discuss some real arguments- not just plain BS. :D

(Don't forget - I'm Jewish.)

Why I think G-d is not self-contradicting:

1. G-d exists in the meaning that He's THE reality.

Our world is the "product" of G-d - not vice versa as some smartypants think.

2. G-d is NOT physical (not even spiritual - He's way above both of those levels).

There are spiritual worlds "above" our - but G-d is even "higher".

In the same time, He's EVERYWHERE - including our world and your laptop.

Why? Because the world is inside G-d.

G-d is truly limitless - to the extent of being able to join opposites like finite and infinite at the same time.

3. Time is just a function and part of THIS world - even spiritual worlds have different "time" than we do.

4. Everything that was CREATED.

G-d is THE CREATOR of everything - the first cause that nothing preceded.

5. That's how our free choice works - G-d knows what we do but lets us do it anyways.

He's not limited or affected by our choice - but He wished and enabled us to have it.

6. G-d is not just amazing - G-d is G-d.

Anything less than that is NOT G-d.

Most ideas mocked by atheists/skeptics are NOT G-d - but their own delusions.

Remember: we were created "in G-d's image" - NOT vice versa!!! :D

OPENING STATEMENT-

Yes' date=' he/it is self-contradicting.

[b']What do you mean?[/b]

How can something/one be physical, but not bound by physical laws?

Won't answer this one

How can something/one exist within time but somewhere exist out of it?

Again, won't answer

If all things NEED a creator, then from whence came God?

Everything needs a creator?

Many other things.

If god knows everything, then does he know what he will do next?

Obviously

And if he does then is he powerful enough to change it?

He is sovereign.

Therefore making himself wrong?

No... =/ How so?

The only answers I ever get is

"God is so amazing he can do anything he wants! He doesn't have to fit into YOUR standards"

What are your views on these contradictions?

How are they contradictions? =/ I've known much more apparent contradictions than these before... Obviously they aren't really contradictions, or else I wouldn't have kept the faith.

So all the two opposers managed to say is, respectively.

Koshej - God is above physical and spiritual planes, yet still in them. Another contradiction.

Could I not argue there is a One Eyed Rabbit within the same plane of existence? And, by your logic, be right, or rather - unable to be wrong?

Max-C - Refuses to refute or answer to my points >_______< or doesn't understand them...

Which also means being able to "self-contradict" and yet NOT to be "self-contradicting" at the same time.

Not to mention that logic is still only a part of Creation and can't be used to limit the Creator.

To cut this short - "self-contradiction" is a figure of OUR logic.

And we shouldn't apply it to somebody or something which is out of the scope of its application.

It's like trying to understand 3D world by using 2D logic - not enough.
