"This card can only be Special Summoned (from your Hand or Deck) when an "Orichalcos Shunoros" is destroyed on your side of the field. When Special Summoned, discard all cards in your hand to the Graveyard and reduce your Life Points to 0; as long as this card remains face-up on the field, you do not lose the Duel. This card cannot attack on the turn it was Special Summoned. When using this card to attack, send the top 10 cards in your Deck to the Graveyard."

 

PROS:

- Has infinite ATK/DEF.

- 1 Turn Kill ability.

- Your still in the duel even when your Life Points are reduced to 0.

- Your still in the duel even when you no longer have any cards in your Main Deck to draw from. [NOTE: This is open to interpretation. You can agree prior to a duel if this effect is acceptable or not.]

- Hard to destroy.

- The only way you can lose the duel is if this card is destroyed or switched into face-down position.

- Immune to Trap Cards.

- Limited Immunity to Spell and Monster Effects.

 

CONS:

- Hard to summon.

- Can drain your deck extremely fast.

- Can only attack a few times (depending on how many cards you have in your Main Deck.)

- Can be effected by Spells or Monster Effect cards for 1 turn if there are no counter-cards to stop it.

 

Rulings

- If this card is destroyed or switched into face-down position you lose the Duel.

- If you don't have 10 cards or more in your Main Deck, then you can no longer use this card to attack.

- Even if you run out of cards, as long as this card remains face-up on the field you still remain in the duel. If your opponent fails to destroy this card or switch it into face-down position and runs out of cards they lose the duel and you win. [NOTE: This rule is open to interpretation. You can agree prior to a duel if this effect is acceptable or not.]

- If this card attacks a monster in defense mode, it is destroyed but the duel is still on.

- If the card attacks a monster in attack mode, the controller of this card wins the duel.

- If your opponent successfully gets all five pieces of Exodia the Forbidden One in his hand it does not win him the duel while this card still remains face-up on the field.

- When Obelisk the Tormentor's special ability "Soul Energy MAX" which gives him infinite ATK is used to attack this card, the duel ends in a DRAW because of an infinite ATK and DEF loop.

- If your opponent uses The Winged Dragon of Ra's special ability "Egyptian God Phoenix" (aka Phoenix Mode) to attack this card, this card is destroyed and your opponent wins the duel.

- If this card's position changes from face-up to face-down, the controller of this card loses the duel. "Book of Moon" causes this effect so using that Spell Card can defeat the Divine Serpent.

- Trap Cards have no effect on this card. [NOTE: This is open to interpretation. You can agree prior to a duel if this effect is acceptable or not.]

- Spell Cards can designate him as a specific target but the effect only last for 1 turn. (This is limited, check below) [NOTE: This is open to interpretation. You can agree prior to a duel if this effect is acceptable or not.]

- Spell Cards may not destroy, remove-from-play, send back to the opponents hand or change ownership of this card. [NOTE: This is open to interpretation. You can agree prior to a duel if this effect is acceptable or not.]

- Spell Cards that designate multiple targets like those that destroy all monsters on the field does not effect this card. But other cards like Swords of Revealing Light does work on this card because its a non-destructive Spell Card, but its effect only last 1 turn and not the usual 3 turns on this monster. [NOTE: This is open to interpretation. You can agree prior to a duel if this effect is acceptable or not.]

- Monster Effects may target this card with an effect that reduces their attack and or defense strength (pretty useless on this card unless the effect can reduce to 0). They may also stop an attack or change its battle position. However a monster effect may not destroy, remove-from-play, send back to the opponents hand or change ownership of this card. [NOTE: This is open to interpretation. You can agree prior to a duel if this effect is acceptable or not.]

- A Monster Effect only last for 1 turn on this card. [NOTE: This is open to interpretation. You can agree prior to a duel if this effect is acceptable or not.]

- An opponent can use Copycat's Effect to gain infinite ATK/DEF and can attack this monster causing and infinite ATK and DEF loop which will end the duel in a DRAW.

- Card's that cause an AUTOMATIC WIN (e.g. Destiny Board, Exodia) do not work while this card remains face-up on the field.

- As long as this card remains face-up on the field, you can not lose the duel NO MATTER WHAT, even if you have 0 Life Points, an AUTO WIN effect played against you, or you run out of cards to draw from your Deck.

- This card's effect supersedes all Win/Lose rules in the game (as long as this card remains face-up on the field).

- If this card is successfully summoned while The Seal of Orichalcos is in play on your side of the field, this card becomes stronger than Infinity. Its total ATK is now (∞ + ATK 500) which equals a combine ATK/DEF of [ ∞+500 / ∞ ]. This means Obelisk the Tormentor can no longer get a DRAW against this card when attacking with his special ability head-on. It also means Copycat's effect will not be able to get a draw either, because it can only copy original ATK/DEF but not the additional boosted amount.

(This card comes from Dartz's Orichalcos deck, which is based on the Dark attribute and also since this card is connected to Orichalcos Shunoros, which is a Dark attribute monster its safe to say Divine Serpent is a Dark attribute monster. But DIVINE might also be a possible attribute because it has the word DIVINE in its name and the Japanese version of this monster's name is God of Serpent which could imply its a God Monster.)

 

Types: ? (REPTILE / EFFECT)

(Obviously a Serpent is a Reptile, also having one of the most powerful effects in the game makes it an Effect Monster type.)

 

Level: ? (LEVEL 12)

(This card has to be a Level 12 monster since it has infinite ATK/DEF and an overpowering effect. Level 12 being the highest level possible.)

Additional Info

- Japanese name: "God of Serpent"

Going by the Japanese name one can consider this card to be another God Monster. Not an Egyptian God Monster but rather an Atlantean God Monster.

 

Trivia

- 2 out of the 3 God Cards stand a chance against this card, 1 being able to get only a DRAW against him, the other being able to WIN against him. The other god card can not defeat this card on its own and would otherwise LOSE if it tried to attack head on.

- A Level 1 Effect Monster can actually get a DRAW against this Level 12 monster.

- A simple Spell Card can defeat this overpowered Monster Card and get the WIN. This is the main exploit weakness.

Also the Divine Serpent card is not unbeatable. It can be defeated (although by other anime cards) or by misuse. I didn't add overpowering stats to this card this pretty much comes from the anime, so it is what it is, an extremely powerful card.

If you make cards from an anime series you don't put them in the realistic section. They go in the Pop. Culture Section. Also, the card is just bad so either do better or get used to seeing negative comments.

Just use The Winged Dragon of Ra's Phoenix Mode (at the cost of 1000 LPs, it can destroy any 1 monster no matter how much ATK/DEF it has) and you win the duel. This is why Dartz's stole the God Cards away to avoid this weakness.

1. Yeah I put in the title Move to Pop Culture Section, so a mod can see it later or something. Newbie mistake.

2. I guess there are more cons to this card, so i guess it isn't that powerful after all. But there are counters for all those that you mentioned that could protect him temporarily.

3. Yeah, I didn't make this up, its in the anime. I'm just merely converting it in what it would be like in card form. Plus I add the text "This cannot be used in a duel." to it like a god card.

4. I don't get how that card would work exactly? Does it force a card into face-down position? If so yeah that would be another con for this card.

5. Let me explain. The rules say that when your Life Points reach 0 you lose the duel. This card's effect totally disregards this rule, so its only logically to conclude it disregards the no more cards in your deck and you lose rule as well (although this was never defined in the anime because this scenario never played out). "As long as this card remains face-up on the field" your still in the duel (no matter what???). Basically its like having 1 card in your deck at all times. That's how I concluded this rule but this is open to interpretation and can either be included or not.

 

P.S. This is card is just for fun. Not for any serious competition.

На это отвечу я фигой в кармане:

Меня не попутает чёрт.

 

И вот отъезжаeм с вокзала мы,то есть

Я лишь провожать их пришёл.

И наши вагоны в Топки повёз поезд,

Что "Кемерово - Таштагол".

 

А после,в минуты,когда над перроном

Сгущаться начнёт темнота,

Подхватит другой поезд наши вагоны.

Тот -"Новокузнецк - Чита".

 

И тут я замечу:мы виделись мало,

Узнать не смогли ничего.

Но тут мне с мужьями чужими скандалы

Нужны будут меньше всего.

Большая Медведица слева по ходу

А поезд идёт от заката к восходу.

Ему это всё нипочём.

 

В открытые окна струя задувает

Прохлады ночной,как всегда.

Привычному стуку колёс подпевая,

Навстречу идут поезда.

 

Она же вернётся в купе,как все люди,

И крепко уснёт поскорей.

Её в Мариинске уже не разбудит

Любой яркий свет фонарей.

 

Родную деревню покойной подружки

Проспит,не заметив,она.

(Когда родной город бомбёжкой разрушен,

Родные места на хрена?)

 

Проснутся,когда уж проехали Ачинск,

Куда они едут,не так будет значить.

Не знаю,как им свежий ветер с Байкала

Вагонную сдул духоту,

Но знаю одно:через три дня без мала

Должны они прибыть в Читу.

 

Ещё я могу однозначно сказать,что

Не будет никто одинок,

Поскольку мы все уезжаем на запад,

И никто - на восток.
