Chicago VS. New York Pizza

Which is better New York Pizza or Chicago Pizza

 

New York pizza is thin and designed for on the go eating or can be eaten sitting down. It has a crust that is firm in the center and has a chewy but not doughy rim. It has a thin layer of sauce cheese and toppings. It comes in 2 types of cuts the classic triangular slices and a grid cut making pizza squares.

 

Chicago pizza, mainly deep dish, is a crumbly crust and can only be eaten with a fork and knife. They often have inches (up to 4") of sauce and toppings. With the traditional triangular slices being the only way to go.

 

Please vote on which one you prefer but try not to argue as these are 2 bitter rivals and I do not want to have this locked for spam.

I also prefer New York style because i like the ability to hold my pizza without large amounts of sauce and toppings falling every where but everyone has there own opinion.

I was actually afraid of this thread. I had no answer.

 

TBQH, you cannot compare these two. Chicago and NY pizza were made for different standards of living, different places, atmospheres (in a restaurant). I cannot compare them. If my life was on the line, I still could not choose.

 

I will choose option three, but I do favor Chicago style one-onethousandth of a percent more.
