Dark City isn't a fantastic name though, especially seeing as how there is a card called Dark City, that'd just get confusing.

 

What's the strategy behind the archetpye though? I do like them quite a lot.

Try not to make it too, "DOESN'T WORK WITH ANYTHING ELSE" though. You'd want it to work with some IRL cards too. You're effects a realy quite inventive, more so than mine, would you mind helping me with a set I've been making?

Well, my best and the set I'm working on isn't the same thing. The one I'm working on is an Origami set, with different animals as each monster. The generic effect of most of them is:

 

During the End Phase of your opponent’s turn, you can return this face-up card to your hand to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower “Origami” monster from your hand, other than “Isert the card's name here”. The monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot activate its effect this turn.

 

Here's one one I really like:

 

Origami - Gai

FIRE/Beast/3/Tuner/1200/1400

When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 Level 4 or lower “Origami” monster from your Deck to your hand. If this card was added to your hand due to the effect of an “Origami” monster, Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position.

 

It's a Warthog. It =3's Recue Cat.

 

and one of the generic level 4 monsters:

 

Origami - Samurai

DARK/Warrior/4/1800/300

Only once while this card is face-up on the field you can discard 1 card from your hand to destroy 1 face-up monster with 1000, or less, more ATK than this card. During the End Phase of your opponent’s turn, you can return this face-up card to your hand to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower “Origami” monster from your hand, other than “Origami - Samurai”. The monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot activate its effect this turn.

 

I chose the 4 four main Gods of Buddihst religon which represent the 4 strongest Origami monsters:

 

Origami - Qinglong (Dragon)

EARTH/Dragon/8/

 

Origami - Zhuque (Phoenix)

FIRE/Pyro/9/

 

Origami - Baihu (White Tiger)

LIGHT/Fairy/7/

 

Origami - Gui Xian (Turtle)

WATER/Aqua/7/

 

I'm thinking about adding the english names on the end because I think they sound quite good said together.
