im not to good at shading either so im not surprised if theres a problem with it.

i origanally was scratching a worm(for practise) then i thought of dratini and added the blue part. then i made the evo.

i haven't got a name for either of them yet.any suggestions?

first is bug or dragon(haven't decided) the second is the same as the first but also part flying(hence the wings)

comments?

i had forgotten why i made the tail like that.

it was going to be part water type.i guess the wings don't work then.

I kind of like the shape of it' date=' like a funky knife (the green bits don't look like wings). The colours are pretty bad though, and the pre evo looks like a pink maggot.

I've seen worse but this is still below the bar for a fakemon.

what colours should i have used? what can i do to improve the pre evo?

EDIT: i'm not to good at scratching wings(or scratching in general) remember this is just somthing that i made while i was practising so it won't be perfect will it? oh well.

Actually Zeroshot depends what generation he is doing. Since ROM hacks deal mainly with the 3rd gen games, the limitation is 64 pixels. Depends on the attended purpose. My original sprites for my Fakemon I was doing in 4th gen style, but because I've considered perhaps finding a way to get them into a ROM hack, I'm having to scale them down.

One issue with your shading is the lack of it on the pink parts. It looks very flat because of it. The wings look like they are on very awkward angles. So overall it looks like a 2d guy with 2d wings just kind of floating near his back. The tail looks like it is suppose to have a purpose or is shaped like that for a reason, but I wouldn't know what. Weird design for the sake of design is fine, although some like it if there is a reason why.

i shaped the tail like that because it was meant to be able to swim underwater.

the wing are to let it glide in the air.

i did do shading for the first one but then most of the shading turned blue.
