Guest
READ BEFORE JOINING Since some of our crowd seem to stay in the realm of Yugioh based roleplays. With that I thought that a Yugioh based roleplay with the intend of getting the community used to the Advance Clause would be for the best. Now as stated before the point of this is so the people who stick to Yugioh roleplays would have a easier way to adjust by staying in their field however there will be a few specfic rules that are different from that of a usual Yugioh roleplay. The set rules: 1. Rules on cards: - Almost no custom cards because they tend to be overpowered which leads to godmodding. However in a PM if you can prove that your card or cards are not overpowered they will be thought over and maybe ok'd for the roleplay, this is for the fact that if people want to use custom cards they would have to make sure they are in the limits for roleplay. - Any cards from the TCG, OCG or ACG is allowed. - At the end of a post you MUST have a link or image for every card you use, the only exception of this is if it's a staple in every deck or the card was already showed in said duel. 2. Rules on draws: - To keep things running smooth if you are trapped under a card's effect or a combo from the other player, please keep away from being able to counter it that turn. At the same time the player in control of said effect or combo needs to make sure that he cannot win the next turn which again, is a method to keep things fair. - Another point I would like to bring up is that of a Salvation Draw. How it works is that if you've been kept down by a opponent for three turns in a row by a card or a combo you are allowed to add one card from your deck to your hand in place of being able to draw the turn in question. The point of this is to give some what of a anime feel with a great draw that can turn games around however to make sure the draw is fair it is only do-able once per duel per player and you must state in OOC that you have done so. 3. Rules on decks. - In between duels you are allowed to change some cards in and out but let me know via PM what the actual changes are then find a way ICly to show that your character changed it's deck up (however you do not need to state what cards you changed with in said post.) - In a PM I would like a decklist for your character, this way I can keep track of people who are using cards that aren't in their deck so they can automatic change the pace of the game. The only cards that shouldn't be in the orginal decklist are the changes made later on in the roleplay, which then again would be pmed to me anyways. - To make things a bit more simpler, I decided that a limit of two decks (One for ground and one for riding duels.) per character would be enforced. However during certain events of the roleplay this could change for as long as the event is in effect. 4. Basics for certain types of posting: - Refrain from just ICly walking up to another person's character and requesting a duel, instead try to build some sort of a relationship while trying to hint towards a IC reason why your character wants or needs to duel the other. - Try to add a bit of detail for the area surrounding you character and maybe the character's actions or appearence so the others could have a idea of what things actually look like. With all that being said I believe that it might be a bit too much so I'll just move on to the actual pieces of the roleplay. With the success of Konami's card game known as Yugioh, the developers of the company decided to create a online game for the consumers of the card game. With the idea in the works the developers had worked on a virtual reality where people could meet up with their friends for dueling while being able to meet others or having the chance to be a part of the bulk of events that were planned. After months of testing the game, Yugioh Online, had gone public and with in a week had a player massive a million which lead to tons of new players meet each other and having fun. After a month of fun and excitements theres only one question to be asked. Are you one of theses players? To sum that brick of infomation up there, we are players in the game stated above. You may be thinking what's the point but let me answer that for you, there is going to be events and/or problems as the roleplay progresses which would lead into a arc while building towards the main story. Said events or problems would be posted on a "virtual message board" by me but in character. Finally while the game is normal it would be hanging out with the others while trying to find things to do in the virtual city that you are in. The reason why I decided to the roleplay like this is so people won't always be waiting for one person to continue with what they want to do unless your in a duel. -The Application- Username: (Pretty much used for "logging in" or used to see who you are if the other person wasn't told you character name.)Character name: (Usually used by your friends with in the game after you told them, you would refer to your character in a post if your are describing your actions.)Appearence: (No pictures, try to use a paragraph for this.)Age:Deck/s: (Remember, one for ground and one for riding dueling. You aren't required to have a deck for riding duels. Oh and send me the list for both please.)Bio: (Why are you playing YGOnline? Again try to use a paragraph.) We will probably start later tonight or during the afternoon tomorrow.
shadowferret
This sounds rather interesting... Username: shadowferretCharacter name: Diego MillanAppearance: Medium-length black hair that seeps halfway down his neck. Silver-rimmed, oval glasses. His skin is brown-ish, like a Latino, and his eyes are a light honey-brown. He stands at about 5'11", and is just a little overweight. He can always be seen wearing three rings -- a thick, black metal one of the ring finger, a silver one with a chain going through the middle on his middle finger, and a silver one with Roman Numerals I through XII on his index finger. Also, tends to wear a black dress shirt with black pants and a purple tie.Age: 18Deck/s: Toons (Ground Duels)Reptiles (For Riding Duels)Bio: A young man who has enjoyed Dueling for as long as the game has been out. A kind boy who does not like to be cruel to others, both in life and in dueling. He favors originality over convenience, and therefore likes to stray away from the mainstream. For this reason he has had his favorite deck -- The Toon Deck -- for three years, and refuses to give up on trying to make it strong enough to take on the strongest of opponents. He logs on to YGOnline to test his deck against whomever is online, and also as a way of relieving stress from his everyday life. Also... could you post a list of Spells we can use during Riding Duels? I will send the List for the Ground Duel Deck, but until I know what Spells are available for Riding Duels, I won't be able to send that Deck List.
