Bean burritos are basically my diet, though occasionally I go to Taco Bell and get some soft tacos, or my mom will make some hard shell tacos. Chipotle barbacoa burritos are good too.

I think the American view of "Mexican" food has been slightly warped by the food you eat as country. Mexican food, I assume, is akin to Spanish food, not just spicy nachos with cheese on them. "Chinese" food for example, has also been warped by other countries into what they declare as acceptable; In no Chinese takeaway have I ever been given the common place wasabe sauce.

 

I'm sure what you were eating was very nice but it wasn't really "Mexican" now was it:? What you were eating is probably what Wikipedia aptly named, "Tex Mex". Hopefully you can prove me wrong.

 

Btw, the food I eat in America was probably some of the best jank I’ve ever had. No wonder you eat so much of it =0

Still, once in awhile, the traditional onions, beef, cilantro, and lime (with a bit of radish on the side and some rice and beans) of an authentic Mexican taco is just what I need.
