In order to try and end this "debate"' date=' here is my two cents.

 

Suicide is fine, but don't kill anyone else.

I disagree with your first point. The emotional damage suicide can leave is lasting. Killing yourself is cowardly, you can't deal with your problems anymore, so you run away, not only dumping your problems on the ones who care for you, but also hurting them deeply.

If I ever had a problem that big, I'd rather drop out of school, sulk at home and eat chocolate every day over suicide.

 

Emotional Damage =/= Physical Damage

 

Albeit torture, only physical damage is against the law.

Emotional damage can be just as debilitating, if not more debilitating than physical damage.

Right. You cannot measure emotional pain on the same organized level you can measure physical pain.

 

That doesn't make it "alright".

 

And if I remember correctly, you can sue someone for emotional abuse.
