When I was in highschool, the hours were 6:30am to 3:45pm. Once that was installed, a lot of students started dropping out. Forcing peoples to stay in a controlled enviroment longer is not going to force them to learn. Infact, it's going to start more peoples to do worse.

Oh, and Dark, and that other person, forgot your name though because you're not important enough for me to remember, there's no reason to stereotype Americans. There are plently of smart peoples here. Not everyone is stupid.

That's around 9 hours. And the part that makes me really mad is the fact that it starts at 6:30.

And I've changed my view on the topic, and I agree with you; America still has it's people, but we are unfairly being outshined by the top 10% of students in India or China. What about the other 90% that live in slums and whatnot?

  • 3 weeks later...

I wouldn't mind if they extended the day a bit but let us off on fridays. Three day weekends would rule.

This is actually a viable idea. Instead of having 6.5 hours every 5 days' date=' make it 8 hours every 4 days.

I agree. we slave over work 5 days a week and get just 2 days off. And then they think that they should EXTEND school?! We kids should get a say in this, right?!?!
