Well, people can be stupid at times and they didn't really think about it.

........

I'm not American and I'm really confused about the Number of numbers and their amount of numbers that numbers use for the amount of numbers, seriously. There are just so many numbers which stand for more numbers and even more numbers.

Here's a question, how many times did I say Numbers? Winner gets 1 Rep.

8 Times, 9 if you count the Question!

Also, I have no idea, as I am not American.

It's on the July 4th because that is the day we proclaimed ourselves from British rule' date=' allowing us to be our independent nation

[/quote']

If Britain didn't acknowledge it, it wouldn't have mattered what you said, because you still would've been Britain's bitch.

You can proclaim all sorts of things and it'll never matter, because no cares; what matters is when it happens.

Except you're wrong in the sense that we didn't give a sheet about what Britain had to say. That's when we decided enough was enough and absolved ourselves from their control. That's when we truly had independence, because whether Britain acknowledged it or not they no longer had control.

It's kinda obvious. >_>

We've been independent since the day we signed the Declaration of Independence. We've been our own country. Sure' date=' later we [i']won[/i] our independence, but we had already declared it beforehand.

As a technicality, we were still under British rule after we declared independence and wrote the DoI. When we actually became our own nation free from British ties was the day we actually WON independence and technically became independant.

Uh..no..

Winning the war just basicly made sure that Britain would not try to attack the USA or try to re-take it again

When the decloration of independance was signed, we declared ourselves free from britain, and a new country. so, at that moment, we where no longer part of britain. After that, we where fighting to keep said freedom

You've never read any of the treaties, have you?

What an idiot...

Well, it's all right, though, because this is your country, after all.

That was a genius idea insulting the country and him in the country at the same time. Kudos.

How can we be independant if the nation that was ruling is before is STILL ruling us?

Declaring something means nothing unless the person ruling you acknowledges it.

Lol @ idiotic post ^_^

Anyway,

No, we declared ourselves independant of them, thus, they did not rule us any longer. Or did you somehow misread what I wrote before?
