[PREVIEW] Millennium Eye

It's OP'ed since it has no drawbacks.

And:

"If this card is face-up on your side of the field when your opponent's Life Points are reduced to 0' date=' you win the match."

What's the point?

You must not watch the anime or read the manga. The Millennium Items all have an indirect overpowering effect on duels. This purposely gives you an unfair advantage in a duel without any draw backs. Each Millennium Item has individual effects separate from each other, but they all share 1 effect: If you lose the duel you lose your soul. So that basically translates into if you lose the duel you lose the match, so you only need to win 1 out of 3 duels to win the match instead of normally having to win 2 out of 3 duels.

yes this would be an illegal card, because of its match winner effect. all 7 millennium items will have this effect, i won't bring its effects down because it wouldn't be an accurate representation of how the card would be from anime-to-card form. i included it in the realistic section because its a realistic depiction of the how the card would look and work. but i guess this section only means those that are playable in actual TCG tournments which is a contradiction in of itself, because all fan-made cards are considered illegal anyways. go figure.

Yeah, as mentioned it should be in Any Other Cards by the way you explained it.

Regardless, it is overpowered, I would add a Life Point cost each turn. The effect isn't the most original, and the last sentence is not needed, if your opponent has 0 LP, you win anyways.

I like the image though.

do you even know what a match winner effect is? the last sentence is hardly pointless.

as far as its originality its a conversion not an original idea, which i have gotten some good rates on for my original ideas.

yes i will include the rest in the Pop section. I think it being OP'ed is the point of these cards, but really its not anymore powerful than any other field spell card, if anything its less powerful because most field spell cards increase/decrease ATK or DEF points none of the Millennium Items have that effect, so there is no out-right advantage in using these cards. plus they aren't like the orichalcos cards, these are destroyable simply by playing another field spell card or spells/traps that destroy magic cards in general.

That last bit is beside the point.

If you guys think this card is op'ed boy your going to think the other millennium items i have are going to be even worse.

but as i said this is why i think this card is balanced in comparison to a legal field spell card

a typical legal field spell card (possible effects/limitations):

- EFFECT 1 - increases ATK

- EFFECT 2 - increases DEF

- EFFECT 3 - decreases ATK

- EFFECT 4 - decreases DEF

- destroyable

this field spell card (effects/limitations):

- EFFECT 1 - see hand

- EFFECT 2 - see face-down cards

- EFFECT 3 - win match instead of duel (this effect isn't guaranteed either)

- destroyable

I don't know about you but I think a legal field spell card has more of a DIRECT advantage than this card's INDIRECT advantage.

A duelist can win just the same way whether this card is played against them or not.
