And you locked my 9/11 thread because...?

Respect the Dead, or become the Dead.

I'll admit to going overboard on that day. I will also admit, that I did put too much of my emotion into that whole day itself. So it could have been a personal reason or not, it's all vague.

If you ask Browarod, I did think of leaving YCM for that day itself; knowing full well of my own state of mind. But at the same time, my mind went "it wouldn't solve the problem, it'd just let them go". So I opted to stay.

So I am sorry Kramer, and all these faults are my own.

What do you want now?

EDIT: If you were talking about your latest one; that one is quite different. As it had gone on to more conspiracy theory than the main topic. And that Death Metals post was the pinnacle of the discussion.

Instead of locking my threads because they are no longer on topic, allow me to fix them myself.

I've constantly PM'd Hunter about this but he constantly ignores them. In all honesty this thread should also include him in the main post as being the most unhelpful moderator, along with also locking threads/banning people for personal reasons.

Icy totally pulls uncalled for dick moves whenever he's had a shitty day. Which isn't really a good habit to form. You're going to get fired from your job if you can't keep your personal life out of your business affairs.

I didn't have a shitty day; it was a day of mourning and respect.

When my own culture and belief system, will accept those days and embrace them. It's not personal life, it's my public life. I am also one who will, prefer someone overly emotional than someone who's just... Robotic. Hence, my own moderating style may reflect that (though as many of my friends on this site such as Akira, C-2, Browarod and the like can say; I do try my absolute best to contain it off site).

These days rarely happen, (well maybe once a month). And in my eyes, despite the repercussions (though I do not throw out bans and warnings in such a mood), is a greater show of respect and expression of oneself than many of you could care to show. That is a great thing, and I wouldn't expect any less of you or any of my fellow colleagues.

I don't know about that. As long as Hunter is still a moderator, I think Icy is safe.

I was talking about HORUS' thread. I'm talking about just in your general modding job. You have bad days, you toss out warns and bans that are uncalled for.

Sorry about reading your post out of context, I guess I just wanted to jump at the opportunity to once again state that he's a bad mod.

You missed my context.

Bolded the 2 lines that make it reflect my everyday moderating style.

I had a pretty badass reply coming on that thread too before it got locked. xD

HORUS is absolutely right though here. I also found it hilarious that when I posted "If we're going to respect those who died in 9/11, we should also respect those who died all over the Middle East as a direct result.", I had my post deleted. Apparently the lives of Americans are more important?

About three thousand Americans died as a result of 9/11. About 1 million Iraqis were directly killed as a result of "The War on Terror". 333 "9/11s" right there to the Iraqi people. Are those deaths somehow irrelevant? I find it insulting that we're not supposed to care for all of the Iraqi civilians who lost their lives, and "9/11" is some sort of Anniversary in which we respect the some 3000 who died, as if they completely overshadow the million. A handful of lives in America is a high priority and total genocide in Iraq doesn't even matter.

Wait...

I shouldn't judge Icy....because.....I can't predict what he will do?

What kind of logic is this?

There isn't one. He's basically saying it's a 50/50 chance.

I'm aware I shouldn't have posted; but all of that was uncalled for. If you have a problem with my moderating, please feel free to PM me.

I have unlocked your thread, if you haven't noticed. Just because I didn't respond doesn't mean it wasn't read. I'm trying to be reasonable, here. I'm willing to cooperate if you are.
