Ragnus
I have returned from a Yugioh Tournament that occured today. For those of you who sent me Private Messages about the Tournament, here's how it went down; There was a total of 12 duelist. Each person payed $10.00 in order to enter, myself included. There were money prizes for the 1st 2nd & 3rd place winners. The prizes were... 1st Prize: $60.00 and 1 Random Secret Rare Card2nd Prize: $40.00 and 1 Random Ultra Rare Card3rd Prize: $20.00 and 1 Random Rare or Super Rare The kid who came in 1st place pulled a Tempest Magician. (To think, I had to pay $30.00 for mine. lol)I came in 2nd place. And I Pulled a Mirror Force Trap Card. (Not quite what I was expecting, but I liked it anyways. lol)The guy who came in 3rd place pulled out a Black Garden. (I've never been a fan of Plant Type cards, but I like the picture. lol) I'm a little disappointed that I didn't win, but hey, I got $40.00 and a third Mirror Force, it doesn't get much better than that, right? ~ P O L A R I S ~
The prizes don't have anything we can really evaluate or discuss, even if they were pretty sick. Tell us about the Duels.
b0b3rt
How is it that the prizes add up to the cost, + 3 good holos? Do they just make money off extra traffic? In my locals the prize is 80% of the combined entry fee in Store Credit >.>

Actually they LOSE money because they added the holos.
Ragnus
It's a Personal Contest that my old Friend holds at his Home. He helps make Yugioh Trading Cards at his Job and makes a lot of money. And once a month he comes back home and holds a Yugioh Contest. It's a lot of fun. b0b3rt
Ours have like a $5 entry fee, and we usually have like 12-15 people so it's not too bad if your running a good deck. Haven't been there in a month, but like 3 regulars run Blackwings, and the rest is random tier 2.

Ragnus
I'd like to start off by saying that I don't consider anyone to be a noob, even if they are. We all start off as Noobs, and we all learn from the Experiance and our Mistakes, so give everyone some credit for trying, okay? And what are Netdecks? Anyways, I used my "Village of Warriors and Casters" Deck. I didn't see the other duelists deck, because we were all dueling at the same time. I'll explain my Duels 1 Post at a time. My first duel was incredibly Short. The first Duelist I went against used a Dark World Deck. He did Exceptionally well with that deck. He got the Tactics down and everything. He even got 5 monsters in play on his first turn. If I didn't have my Mirror Force Face down, He would've dropped me right there. I had the first turn, I set my Crystal Seer, 1 Mirror Force, and 1 Torrential Tribute, and played 1 Magical Citidel Field Spell. Then on his turn, he first played Card of Safe Return, and then he played Dark World Lightning and Destroyed my Torrential Tribute and Brought Goldd in play and drew 1 card. Then he played 2 Dark World Dealings, and discarded 2 Sillva's, brought them in play, and then drew 2 more cards. Then he summoned Brron, and equipped it with Big Bang Shot. He destroyed my Seer with it, and then discarded and summoned Beiige, and drew yet another Card. I added Night's End Sorcerer to my Hand using Seer's Effect, and put Battle Mania at the bottom of my deck. Then he attacked with Beiige, and I played my Mirror Force, and Destroyed all his monsters. Afterwards, he Put 2 cards face down. My Life Points: 5900His Life Points: 8000 Then on my turn, I summoned my Night's End Sorcerer, and attacked him directly with it. Then I put face down a Call of the Haunted and an Urgent Tuning. My life Points: 5900His Life Points: 6700 His turn, he Summoned Beiige, and attacked my Sorcerer. My Life Points: 5600His Life Points: 6700 My Turn started, and I played Call of the Haunted and Brought back my Sorcerer, then using the Sorcerer's effect, I removed his 2 Sillva's in his graveyard from play. Then I summoned my Skilled Dark Magician. My Magician attacked and Destroyed Beiige, then I attacked him directly with the Sorcerer. My Life Points: 5600His Life Points: 5100 Afterwards, I played my Urgent Tuning and Synchronized The Sorcerer and the Skilled Dark Magician to Synchro Summon Tempest Magician, and had Tempest Attack him directly. My Life Points: 5600His Life Points: 2900 Then during Main phase 2, I used my Tempest magician's Ability, and destroyed every Spell Counter in play. I dealed a total of 3000 damage to him. The Citidel was holding 5 spell counters and Tempest had 1. That ended my First duel.

Darkest Hour
Netdecking is where someone runs the same exact deck as someone else or a script of a deck they saw winning in a tournament. It's also called Cookie Cutting, Copycating, Winscraping, Deck Printing, Deck Cloning and a menagerie of other things. You can tell netdeckers by having paper with them while dueling and when someone plays a combo thats good or they see your deck in some way, they start writing it down. Well, not n00bs, but, in a nicer sense, horrible players/beginners/people who get their card rulings from the old anime.
Ragnus
You can't exactly call anyone a Horrible Player at this game just because they have a deck that's weaker than yours. My Deck may not be perfect, and it has been defeated several times before. But my friends treat both me and my Deck with the greatest of Respect. I do the same for them whenever I defeat them in a Duel. That may sound Childish, but it's all true.
burnpsy
Then on his turn' date=' he first played Card of Safe Return[/quote'] I lol'd What's Funny? Perhaps it's the fact that said card's banned? >.<"
Ragnus
That's not surprising. As I stated before, it's a tournament held personally by my friend. He allows us to hold 1 Forbidden card in our decks. Anyways, would you like me to continue the Summary with the Next Duel that occured?
Darkest Hour
Well besides that, one forbidden card? So NOBODY ran Last Turn or Chaos Emperor Dragon/BLS?
Ragnus
I don't know if someone used Last Turn or any of the "Envoy" Monsters. One of the other duelists that I didn't face might've used one, but ultimately, I don't know. It's not like they go around saying what card they put into their deck. I used Pot of Greed for my deck.
