Both you and your opponent can use this effect as long as this card remains face-up on the field.[/align] We all know the uses of Oppression (negate Synchros, DAD, JD, and any other special summon outside of the dmg step) but I just read in the coverage of SJC that Vayu isn't removed until it's effect resolves, meaning if it is negated, by, oh lets say, Royal Oppression, that it isn't removed, allowing you to attempt again to ss a BW Synchro monster. While it doesn't get under Oppression as do recruiters, unless you opponent wants to pretty much kill themselves, they are going to allow the summon to go through. Discuss the uses of Oppression in general and just how good it is today while keeping in mind the fact that it's pretty much mandatory to be played in Vayu builds now. Unfortunately, Oppression also stops other useful cards in Vayu, so I don't think it's so much mandatory in all Vayu builds as a different Vayu build in of itself. =/ I always just sided in IIWall to take care of Vayu. :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tech in Cold Wave and you should be fine, and Giant Trunade can be used to give you a turn also, so it's not that hard. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyways, a no SS deck (aside from maybe Rat, but Oppression does crap vs. that) that is great anti-meta... why wouldn't you add Oppression.
