There was a large group of men standing around the very middle, where an armored soldier was reading off a list of names. Ecko approached the crowd, and asked an older, grey haired fellow what was going on."Drafting," was his response."What?!! But, we aren't in need of soldiers, I thought we were winning against the Kingdom of Water! The news said they hadn't even reached the shore yet.""We were winning," the old man wheezed, "but then the Kingdom of Dark started helping the Marina armies," he coughed, then continued on, "We were no match for them."Ecko was outraged, "What?!! And where are our allies? Where's the Kingdom of Wind and the Kingdom of Light?""The Kingdom of Light has their hands full with the armies of Darkness at the moment. And you know the Kingdom of Wind has only j-joined forces with us through the Kingdom of Light.""That's right, the Kingdom of Wind has had several wars in the past against us. You'd think they'd help us though.""We haven't exactly been helping them," the old man pointed out.The history of this world is rough, and filled with wars. Although this is probably the biggest war in centuries, the KoL and the KoD have always been at eachother's throats. The Kingdom of Water has only ever been at war with the KoF, but they've been a huge threat recently."Man I hope I'm not-" Ecko was cut off has the soldier bellowed another name across the square, "Ecko Rein!""You have got to be kidding me!" OOC: u can start referring to the kingdoms as follows:Kingdom of Fire: KoFKingdom of Darkness: KoDKingdom of Light: KoLKingdom of Earth: KoEKingdom of Wind: KoA (A= air, idk)Kingdom of Water: KoWOOC: if u think about it, fire is a source of light, and water is generally dark. idk, thats how i think of it. He went outside the temple and started setting up traps. Everything from: pitfalls, to spirits, to Duel Spirits, to Warrior foxholes (Hiding place in ground with a small window), to traps that caused you to go blind, to holes that cause you to fall into a pitch black pit, to even sensors. Those caused fire to spout out of the ground. He loved fire, and being subtle was something he liked. It was subtle, unless you set any of the traps off. Even one and you are screwed. And then, there was his favorite. A spell sealed trap that set his duel spirit free in physical form to destroy. He just couldn't wait for that one. Unfortunately, it could only free him for a short period of time. But, he could free Kuro at will. Just took a lot out of him.OOC: True. Swords flying, duel spirits, holes that lead to the center of the earth. sensors with boby traps and more. Wyz heard that KoF was haveing problums. "I'll duel for you, fight for you, defeat those d**n Marinors (people from Marina), but I refuse to wear armor! Why would I even need it? I'm dueling, not sword fighting.""Its required, you may be dueling but some duelists have dangerous duel spirits that can crush you!" the soldier tried to scare Ecko, a task not easily done."Like what?" Ecko said, in a I-don't-believe-you tone."Well, legend has it that there's someone in each kingdom that brings duel monsters to life! Its said that ships go down at the sight of the legendary shark!""Legendary shark?" Ecko smirked. This guy was nuts."Yeah, Umi Kaibutsu!" OOC: wat do u think, u want it to be legend about the guy in each kingdom being able to bring them to life, or fact? i don't care either way, u guys can decide. I would go myself, but I have an even more important job to do. Myself, the King of our kingdom, the queen of Water, and the King of Darkness have all agreed to go after the KoF first. Our people can easily get through their main entrance, since it is underground. Go now! Round up as many elite duelists (actual people, not NPC's) as you can and go to their entrance. It will be quicker with this," suddenly, a hole appeared in the side of the cliff. A rumbling shook the ground they stood on. I have already sent the elites besides Red. They will meet you at the gates of the Fire Kingdom. The queen of the Water Kingdom has also sent some of her elites. Hopefully, we can take them down in one fell swoop." OOC: we're gonna fail in destroying them right? we can't have an entire kingdom destroyed this early . . . He had been assigned a squad, so he and 3 other duelists, sprinted through the underground tunnels. There were more squads in front of them, and others behind. Ecko kept eying his deck, which was in his duel disk. He could feel the spirits of all his monsters inside his deck, waiting, watching. They rounded a corner, and emerged into a large cave- like opening. There was lava flows beneath their feet, and lava dripping from the ceiling near the walls. All the duelists starting making formations in front of a large, metal gate, guarding the only way into their city, besides from the KoA of course. They could hear rumbling on the other side.
