On December 20, 2012, the last day on the Mayan calendar, many people held their breath, waiting for the predicted apocalypse. Instead of the fiery apocalypse of death and destruction people expected, a massive mountain range sprouted in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, seemingly out of nowhere.

 

Almost immediately, world powers sent exploration ships to this new mountain range. When they returned to their superiors, they did so with pockets full of precious gems. The mountain range contained resources of all kinds and all nations set up mining expeditions to the now dubbed Treasure Lane.

 

This mining continued without incident until March 12, 2014. Then, miners began dissappearing around the area of the Switchback Mountain, named for its strange shape. Attempts to search for the missing miners were fruitless until one party found a stone with mysterious markings on it that looked like writing.

 

It wasn't another for another three years until another search party was sent to find the missing miners.

Name: Thomas Fidelity

Age: 29

Country of Origin: United Kingdoms, specifically England

Personality: An irritating individual, Thomas' personal philosophy is "It isn't fun if they aren't annoyed". Considered an odd bird, Thomas is known for bad puns, almost OCD-level of odd habits, and acting a bit too friendly while also being much too far apart. He's very emotionally distant, and can never speak seriously about anything. If he is interested in something, it is generally compounded by an outburst of childish glee.

Appearance: Thomas has soft features, a weak chin and eyes set a little too far apart. He has longish black hair that reaches down to his shoulders, and wears a pair of purposely mismatched contacts; One giving his eyes a blue color, and one clear one, showing his dark brown natural eyes. Both are clinical lenses he is near-blind without, but are a special type designed to last long amounts of time and deflect dirt and dust.

He is roughly 5'11" tall, with thin but strong arms and athletic legs. While his general clothing changes, he prefers brown leather over anything else, and always wears a short-rimmed brown cowboy hat no matter where he is.

Bio: Having grown up in England, Thomas' childhood would have been completely normal if he himself weren't abnormal. Discontent with playing with other children, Thomas was constantly mischievous, and loved seeing people knocked from their normal routine. He was nigh-impossible to punish, due to his lack of interest in conventional toys and whatnot, and just as often didn't care either.

Thomas did not improve with age. In High school, he was considered a bad-tempered genius, obtaining near-perfect scores in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and most maths. However, he suffered in creative aspects such as English and such courses, that gave him no enjoyment. While he attended University briefly, he quickly dropped out, believing that higher education was not for him.

Since then, he moved to Scotland and got a job at one of the nearby national parks, taking care of the mountainous animals and making sure tourists did not get lost. His skill in navigating cave systems and around non-civilized areas eventually led to him being picked up as part of the country's top Search and Rescue missionaries, despite him constantly being reprimanded for not being able to work as a team, or respect his superiors.

 

 

[spoiler=Lunar Roze - Raven Spellman]

Name: Raven Spellman

 

Age: 21

 

Country of Origin: Orignally England but moved to the United states

 

Personality: She is truely unique in alot of wyas. She acts tough, talks tough, and is not afraid to kill or hurt anyone. However, she is a super hacker and truely a kind soul. She puts others before her ownself as long as they aren't jerks to her. If you give her apple juice, her other side will come out. Her other side (seeing as she has split personality disorder) is vey hyper and childish. That side of her is called Bunny.

 

Appearance: On her normal side, she looks calm, cool, and collective. Her left eye tends to twitch when she is pissed off. Her hair is raven black and extends down to almost her knees. She hasn't really noticed this. She just usually braids it in one or two braids. She wears contact lenses that make he eyes amythist purple. Her real eye color is a dark forest green, which she absolutly hates. Her main focus on clothes is somehting comfortable. She always wears her silver heart locket and a baseball hat.

Her height is 5'8''. She is skinny but her chest is a good size. She has a scar above her left eyebrow that seems really horrible. Often people stare at it. She pretends not to notice.

 

Bio: She grew up in England, not knowing her parents. Her aunt raised her, or atleast tried, to be a proper young lady. Up until high school, it worked. During that time, she got a perfect straigh a+. She hated social studies and goverment studies. It put her to sleep. Still, she wanted to please her aunt.

Then high school came and she was picked on constantly, especially for her glasses. She took martial arts and practiced hacking. She joined a gang after they deemed her worthy. She felt as though she belonged. At the end of her senior year, her aunt died and she moved to the United states. She went to a community collage for two years for a degree in computers. Afterwards, she just worked in a resteraunt and made a few frineds, like ones in the military kind. With a good word, she got into the special search team to go to Switchback Mountain. Antoher reason she wants to go is becasue one of her friends in the gang disapperaed becasue she went to the mountain.

 

 

[spoiler=Fenrir - Dominic Yeager]

Name: Dominic Jaeger (Means hunter in German, also, pronounced 'yay-gr')

 

Age: 22

 

Country of Origin: Germany

 

Personality: Dominic is rather sarcastic, witty, dry, and blunt. He won't miss a chance to call someone an idiot, or point out someone's stupidity. This being said, he cares deeply for his friends, but won't show it. Some people call him a sadist, but that's not the case. It's not his fault if people happen to get in front of his gun while he's shooting. Right? His personal philosophy happens to be, "Whoever breaks first, loses."

 

Appearance: Dominic is about 6'1, with short, messy brown hair. He has a small amount of chin stubble, and is lightly tanned. He's well built, and his eyes are an amber like color. His right arm is covered in bandages up to the elbow, but reveals his fingers. He prefers not to talk about what happened to his right hand, and is a little touchy on the subject. He generally sports hunting wear, including leather. He also wears a short cowboy hat, resembling an Australian outbacker.

 

Bio: Dominc was born in Bremen, Germany to a German father and Australian mother. His father was in the military, while his mother worked as a conservationist. She often told her about her work, and about the wildlife she tries to protect. His father died when he hit 13, and he was relatively unaffected by his death. He was rather bad at school, not because he didn't understand the work, but because he didn't want to work. Due to this, he often ditched school, which gave him a bad reputation.

At the age of 14, he began to go to shooting ranges, and practiced shooting guns. Over the course of his life time, he became skilled at this. As soon as he graduated High School, he started as a demolition man. He was quite skilled at using the correct type of bombs and planting them in correct places. As soon as as 2012 hit, he didn't care for this mayan prophetic island. His mother was very interested however, and went on in expedition crew. As soon as she was reported missing, he became worried. The German government, knowing his skills in demolition, survival, and sharpshooting, sent him as part of their contribution to this expedition.

He has several reasons for going, all fueled by the loss of his mother.

1. To find new ores, and items that can be used for explosives.

2. To document wildlife.

3. To find his mother.
