Lazer Yoshi
Yes, religion does cause problems; doesn't mean it has to.I'm a Christian, but I don't mind if someone else is believes in a different religion than me. I have no problem with religious people but if all they do is try and convert me or threaten me 'cause I'm a 'Heathen' then they deserve what they get from other religious people. Dark
Doesn't the Burden of Proof lie on the asserter? Using your logic, those who say God exists hold the burden of proof. But the smartest answer they can give is the "Bible", which is far from any sort of proof. I'd write my own "Bible", but I don't have the time and I don't have a good enough imagination. Cyber Altair
It is. No religion can match the idiocy of the claims of Christianity. If God impregnated Mary and yet she stayed a virgin. Does that mean he's asexual or he simply didn't have a good enough wang. If it's the latter then God isn't all that powerful as he could have given himself a 50 inch dick simply "for the lulz". Also if Jesus is human or if you want to "human looking" does that mean God also looks like that, ie. human?

The idea behind the virgin birth of Jesus is not that God impregnated Mary without penetration. Rather, it is the idea that one can be blessed by doing good. God(according to the Christian Bible), created humans in his image. This does not make God a human. We know what a human is made up of, because of Anatomy and Physiology. However, we cannot assume because something looks similar, that it is similar. Take, for example we have a wooden box, and a hard plastic box. Both have the same dimensions, color, etc, so that they appear to be exactly the same. However, these are not the same, are they not? One is plastic and one is wooden. HORUS
Religion doesn't cause problem. The people who take it too seriously do. Religion causing problems is like saying that a gun kills. If there were no religion, there would be no religiously-based problems. If there were no guns, nobody would be shot dead. It's the root of the problem, not the problem itself.

Doomcaliber Knight
Pic unrelated.Cool pic Religion doesn't cause problem. The people who take it too seriously do. Religion causing problems is like saying that a gun kills. Best post so far +1 The problem is not religion itself. You could let everybody believe what they want, but, the problem is the extremists(In ANY religion) justify their actions with religion.
