Strike of the Dragunity

Ok, so I finally read-up on the Dragunity archetype and I fell in love with it! I made a quick attempt at making a deck and this is what I came up with. There is a good chance I'm doing it all wrong, if so, tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it.

Effect:

Activate by Tributing 1 "Dragunity" Dragon-Type monster you control. Select and Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Winged Beast-Type monster from your Graveyard. This effect can only be used once per turn.

 

Dragunity – Bradistock

Type: Dragon/Tuner

Attribute: WIND

ATK/DEF: 600/400

Effect:

When this card is treated as an Equip Spell Card by the effect of another card, the monster equipped with this card can attack twice during the Battle Phase.

 

Dragunity – Dux

Type: Winged Beast

Attribute: WIND

ATK/DEF: 1500/1000

Effect:

This card gains 200 ATK for each face-up "Dragunity" card you control. When this card is Normal Summoned, you can treat 1 Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type "Dragunity" monster in your Graveyard as an Equip Spell Card and equip it to this card.

 

Dragunity – Javelin

ATK/DEF: 1200/800

Effect:

If this card is destroyed while it is in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as an Equip Spell Card and equip it to 1 face-up "Dragunity" Winged Beast-Type monster you control, instead of sending it to the Graveyard.

 

Dragunity – Legion

Effect:

When this card is Normal Summoned, you can select 1 Level 3 or lower "Dragunity" Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard and equip it to this card treated as an Equip Card. By sending 1 "Dragunity" card in your Spell and Trap Card Zone to the Graveyard, destroy 1 face-up monster your opponent controls.

Effect:

Activate only if this card is equipped to a monster due to it being treated as an Equip Spell Card by a card effect. Special Summon this equipped card to your field. This effect can only be used once per turn.

 

Dragunity – Primus Pilus

Effect:

Dragunity – Tribul

Effect:

When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, you can send 1 Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Treasure of Harmony

Normal Spell Card

Activate by discarding 1 Dragon-type Tuner with 1000 or less ATK. Draw 2 cards.

 

Extra Deck:

 

Dragunity Knight – Gadearg

Type: Dragon/Synchro

Attribute: WIND

ATK/DEF: 2400/800

Effect:

1 Dragon-Type Tuner + 1 or more Winged Beast-Type non-Tuner monsters.

 

You can activate this effect once per turn during your Main Phase. Add 1 Level 4 or lower Dragon-Type or Winged Beast-Type monster from your Deck to your hand then discard 1 Dragon-Type or Winged Beast-Type monster.

 

Dragunity Knight – Gáebolg

Type: Dragon/Synchro

Attribute: WIND

ATK/DEF: 2000/1100

Effect:

1 Dragon-Type Tuner + 1 or more Winged-Beast-Type non-Tuner monsters.

 

Activate only once during Damage Step when this card battles by removing 1 Winged Beast-Type monster from your Graveyard. This card gains ATK equal to the ATK of the removed monster until the End Phase.

 

Dragunity Knight – Trident

Type: Dragon/Synchro

Attribute: WIND

ATK/DEF: 2400/1700

Effect:

1 Dragon-Type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Winged Beast-Type monsters.

 

Once per turn, you can send up to 3 cards from your side of field to the Graveyard. Look at your opponent's Extra Deck and send cards equal to the number of cards you sent to the opponent's Graveyard.

 

Dragunity Knight – Vajuranda

Type: Dragon/Synchro

Attribute: WIND

ATK/DEF: 1900/1200

Effect:

1 Dragon-Type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Winged Beast-Type monsters.

 

When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can treat 1 Level 3 or lower "Dragunity" Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard as an Equip Spell Card and equip it to this card. Once per turn, send 1 Equip Card equipped to this card to the Graveyard to double this card's ATK until the End Phase.

 

 

 

 

 

[spoiler=Playbook of Dragunity]

 

The Main Purpose

 

The basic purpose of the deck is equip abuse and Synchro Shokan toolboxing.

 

The main win condition is swarming and toolboxing to kill my opponent.

 

General Combos:

 

Dux, Legion, and Primus Pilus can all equip Phalanx (Primus doing so from the deck) for a quick synchro.

 

Dux gains 200 ATK for ALL Dragunity on the field; this includes equipped ones.

 

Tribel dumps lvl 3 or lower Dragon-types to the grave to be revived via Call or Limit Reverse, to be equipped via Legion or Dux, or to be summoned w/ Debris though you can't synchro since every Dragunity Dragon is a tuner.

 

Debris is here for synchro summons and since every Dragunity Synchro is a Dragon-type, he can fulfill the "1 Dragon-type Tuner" of the Dragunity Synchros.

 

Bradistock allows whatever monster it is equipped to attack twice in the battle phase and increases their attack by 600. Combine with with Dux's +200 for every Dragunity card on the field and you have yourself a 2500 double attacking beatstick. If there is one in your deck, you can use Primus to get it from the deck and equip it to himself for a 2800 double attacking beatstick.

 

Since Dragunity have Winged Beast in their ranks, Icarus Attack is available for control and with Black Spear and Limit Reverse (Tribel only) it won't hurt your field advantage much.

 

Conclusion:

 

Dragunity cards are made to quickly swarm and toolbox their way to game using their equipping power and Synchros and combine the power of Dragons with the tenacity of Winged Beasts. Dragunity are fast and aggressive (from what I gather) so they are somewhat comparible to BWs in their win condition.

 

 

 

 

I originally had Rising Air Currents in there (since they are all WIND attributed and 500 ATK is nothing to shake a stick at) but took it out for Limit Reverse. Not sure if I should, but it will allow me for more Debris Dragon and Reborns via Black Spear as well as more dumpage via Tribul.

I have no idea what that is (PTD? but the equips are monsters, not equip spells)... and I'll make a playbook BTM, need to do it anyways to help me understand what to do anyways XD it's pretty much a "SWARM + SYNCHRO SHOKAN FTW!!!" with slight toolboxness

i wish the were in the US alrady!!! hey noob question does hunter owl effect works with the dragunity in the magic and trap card zones. bc they are all wind Atributes and even tho sume are equip monsters.hunter owl it effects will have it gain 500 ATk points for EACH WIND MONSTER ON YOUR SIDE OF THE FIELD. does that include he dragunity thats in my magic or trap card zone? If thats the case then that would be a 1000 Atk increase with a dragunity monster and it's equip monster on the field.in that case i would add hunter owl it's also searchable with Flying Kamakiri.sorry if i can give you any help.

If it specifies "on the field" and not "every WIND monster" then yes it would. It would be just like Dux getting the boost from equips since it specifies "all Dragunity monsters on the field"

 

WIND monster on your side of the field

 

Won't work, however, since he is WIND himself, it could be a good tech. 1 other monster on the field and he's 2k beatstick.

Anyone got a better idea?


I just realized I'm short a card, but after thinking I don't want to add Hunter Owl, any ideas? Also, I'm at 9 traps and with Transmigration (a good card) I would be at 10. 10 traps seems high...

 

I added in MBaaS, I've been wanting that for a while; however, I still want Transmigration and I want to reduce the traps, any ideas?
