Aesirson
So, my last Chronicles of Fantasy RP got locked, so this one will be better made. The heat is outstanding. You have traveled for a long time through Lokir'ash, the land of fire. Around you the ashed ground stretches on to the mountains in the horizons, and before you a gigantic, fortress-like building stands. The great gate stands open, and reveals the inside. As you travel inside, the heat feels like a punch against your face."Hail, traveler!" You turn around and sees a dwarf with long, black beard. The small man is clothed in mail armor and yields the mark of fire on his chest, this reveals him to be a Fire Elementalists, the highest ranking soldiers of this fort."Welcome to Stormfire!" The dwarf continues and smiles. You are currently in the center of the city, with a gigantic pillar of flame in the middle. Along the walls small houses is placed, and at places theres corridours leading to other parts of the city. For being so hot, the city is sprawling with life. You can see a human selling gems and peoples are talking about the latest gossips. However, there's one person who stands out from all others, a man clothed in black robes and a hood, covering his face. He is walking towards one of the corridours and then disappears. But what are you looking at people for? You've got business to do! That's the introduction, now, you must fill in this template to start your adventure: Template Name:Age:Gender:Race:Class:Weapon(s) of Choice:Biography:Appearance:Why are you in Stormfire?: List of Races:
--History--Humans is the youngest race of these lands, and they mostly reside in their capital of Stonehammer, but there's also a lot of human outposts scattered around. After many years of war against the Orcs and the Trolls, all of the races united under one flag and peace was created. --Physical Appearance--Standing at about 1.80 meters for males and 1.60 for females they are at an average hight for the races, with only dwarves being shorter and Trueborn equal in size. Their skin, eye and hair colour varies, but the longer south you come, the darker the colours seems to become. --Weapons and Armor--Human weapons of choice is usually swords and hammers, but they are flexible and has learned to control any weapon. Humans of battle feel mostly comfortable in plate armor, but scouts and archers will mostly be clothed in leather.
--History--Originally from the mountains of the south, they was driven away by the Orcs to the northern mountains. Since then they have learned to live in harsh climates and are now very comfortable with the cold. --Physical Appearance--Standing at an average 1.40 meters, they are the shortest race of the Union. Males often ahev long beards that often touches the ground, since a long beard is a sign of power. They are thick creatures, but you should not judge a dwarf by looks, they outranks both the humans and Trueborn in strength and is equal to orcs in this term. Only trolls is stronger. --Weapons and Armor--Dwarves uses mostly axes, but they have also learned the skill of engineering, and can create handguns and cannons for battle. Dwarven armor is often stone-like titanium, found only in teh northern mountains where they reside.
--History--A rare kind of humans, they are in fact the result of an elf breeding with a human. Altough they are the weakest race, they have the strongest mind and mainly concentrates on the power of magic. Since the elves became extinct, the Trueborns has more recently began to be called "elves". --Physical Appearance--Even though the elves was a race of pure energy beings, the Trueborns has taken form mostly after their human bretheren, except that their hair is always lightly coloured, their eyes is always blue or green and they have pointy ears. They are as big as humans in terms of height, but they often appear much less muscular. --Weapons and Armor--The Trueborn wears elven armor, which is light and not so hard to penetrate with a weapon, they prefer to guard themselves with magical shields and such. Their weapons of choice is mostly polearms and swords.
--History--For long they was at war with both dwarves and humans, but has since a while back laid this grief to rest and are now good friends with both of the mentioned races. Orcs are strong creatures, and not as dumb as the other races seems to think. --Physical Appearance--Standing at an average 1.80 with green skin and big fangs, an orc is nt the beautifullest creature. Their bodies is also very muscular and you can see on an orc that they are not to be taken lightly in combat. --Weapons and Armor--Axes, axes and more axes. Orcs like axes. And hammers. Their armor is primitive, but they doesn't really need it since their skin is so thick that it works as an extra armor.
--History--Trolls has always been thought to be brutish and cruel race, and they were also the last race to join the Union. Living in the farest north, living in the harshest of climates and being in constant conflict with werewolves, dragons and other savage creatures they have learned to fight with no mercy and even though they are the dumbest race under the flag of the Union, they are not an easy opponent to face on the battlefield. --Physical Appearance--Standing at an average height of 2 meters for both males and females, they are the biggest race to fight with the Union. They are not much unlike the humans in appearance, except that they tend to grow small tusks and the males grow horns, the bigger the horns, the more respect they get from their bretherens. The males usually also grow long beards. --Weapons and Armor--A troll can make use of any weapon, but they feel most comfortable fighting with their own smithen blades, axes and with fist weapons. Their rough bodies makes it unnecessary to wear armor, but they usually wears leather armor with pelts, to guard them from the cold of their homelands. And some extra info: You may chose whatever class you want, the class only tells us a bit of your fighting style. However, Elementalists of the four elements (Fire, Earth, Wind and Water) is treated with great respect and is seen as the guardians of law and order. I will control NPCs, and I really want this RP to play out well, so anyone who knows how to play advanced is welcome. =D

Naimo
Name: Harida GarjyrAge: 34Gender: FemaleRace: DwarfClass: Healer (often through the use of remedies backed by a tiny amount of healing magic to make them extra effective, but if the patient's condition is very very serious, she will resort to magic)Weapon(s) of Choice: normal double-sided axe which is mainly used for preparation of remedies, double-sided pole-battle-axeBiography: She was born as a weak dwarf child, and although many thought she would not survive her infant years, she did. As Harida grew up, she learnt how best to use her magic so she wouldn't kill herself in the process of using it. Hydra of Ages
Name: AaerenAge: 28Gender: MaleRace: TrollClass: ChannelerWeapon(s) of Choice: a "Channeling Measure", or a long length of sacred Ash Wood, is the only weapon Aaeren considers. His own is a very light yellow in color, a couple inches long, and lacquered with several different oils and waxes until it is pliable to the point of being nigh-indestructible. His own is bent at either end and affixed with an expensive, high-quality bowstring. The length of wood is specially designed in order to more easily handle elemental energy and channel it into a usable form; no matter what power Aaeren might possess, he can focus it into this length of wood. While channeling the power of the Dragon, Verdan, the twig glows with red fire and becomes sharp as a blade, while also providing Aaeron with considerable skill and agility. While channeling the power of the Air-Spirit Ariel, the oversized twig becomes a long wing-like structure capable of whipping up windstorms and small twisters. The air itself becomes thin as a blade when waved, and can cut through several objects this way. When the nameless water Elementist is channeled, Aaeren becomes capable of using Water Elements himself, causing objects to freeze and creating water out of nowhere. He can call up creatures made of pure water if he focuses enough. In this stage, the twig doesn't change, but glows slightly blue at the tip. In a pinch where no power can be channeled, the length can be used as an ordinary longbow; Aaeren is both a skilled archer, and carries a quiver on his legging filled with iron-tipped arrows with eagle fletchings. He keeps a couple silver arrows in case of Werewolves. Biography: A runt from birth, Aaeren was unique among troll kind for failing to grow a horn of any sort. Often being mistaken for female because of that, Aaeren gained a sort of bitterness that was not at all helped by the fact he was physically weak for a troll, only about six feet tall (quite short for a troll), with stringy limbs and a weak chest. Constantly talked down by his peers, a disappointment to his parents and a general outcast of Troll society, Aaeren grew up lonely, turning instead to mental accomplishments rather than physical. For a troll, Aaeren became impeccably smart by learning from the elders of his society, studying any literature he could from the various scrolls he might be able to find. Aaeren, fed up with his incapability in combat, studied as much of magic as he could, but found precious little on the subject among the Troll Collections. Turning in bitterness to the very elements themselves, he appealed to the gods to show him the way, which resulted in a battering snow storm appearing out of nowhere. Quickly losing his way, Aaeren was in the frozen winters for a long period of time, developing hypothermia with his thin skin. Eventually found by a hunting patrol of Trolls, he was brought back to his village and healed, though it still seemed he would die. Luckily, however, a passing Elementist of the Water Variety had been staying in the Troll's village as part of a pilgrimage, and offered his services, healing the young troll back to health. Once back to health, Aaeren pleaded to the Elementist to teach him, but was gently turned down; Trolls generally do not become Elementist, and he believed that Aaeren did not have what it took to become such. Enraged by this, Aaeren once again took to the snowy mountains to prove himself. In his passion, the very fury of the Wind bent to his will as he scowered the mountains for a way to prove his worthiness. Finally finding a powerful Dragon that had been terrorizing the area, Aaeren entered a suicidal battle against it; Armed with only a weak troll-made bow, he attempted to kill the Dragon, only to be knocked back and nearly killed several times. Luckily, however, a powerful wind spirit named Ariel came to his rescue, fending off the Dragon and entering combat. Ariel had been watching him for the past few years of his life, and grown a fair bit of attachment to him. The storm that had nearly killed him was her 'embrace', that she failed to realize may be fatal to mortals; In return for this, she swore to protect his life henceforth. Having realized something was off in the area, the Elementist from the village had followed. Seeing the two fighting Goliaths, he released all his powers in order to fend the two of them off; However, the snarling Dragon had its pride injured, and Ariel had an oath she intended to keep. The cross net created by the powerful Elementist's abilities, Ariel's ancient powers and status as a spirit of air and the inherit magic and power within the Dragon's species caused the very barrier of reality to start to break apart.Caught within the midst of this, the mixture between the three ancient and powerful kinds of magic released his latent abilities, unveiling an ancient technique long forgotten by all the species for generations- Unity. The spell caught and burned the Ley Line breaks created in the air, like a flame following a gasoline trail, and enveloped the battling mystic creatures. Drawing out their very magical essence, the souls and powers of the three were transferred into the new conduit, causing a ripple effect that created a scar in the very elemental balance in the area. As a result of this, Aaeren was comatose for near to a year, almost dying in Troll care (who knew little about how to sustain someone in constant mental fits). He had constant spasms, his mind almost burning out under the stress of three separate minds; eventually, he woke, nearly a completely different person. Though his mind was dominant, it was locked together with the separate minds of Ariel, the Water Elementist, and a powerful Dragon, all their memories and thoughts slightly merging together. Subjugating their consciousnesses, most of them never intrude in on his thoughts unless something in particular triggers them, though he has learned how to channel their skills, powers, and consciousnesses into his own mind, in order to fight, to a certain degree. He does not, however, have the raw power or skill any of them individually possessed. Appearance: Shorter, hornless, clean-shaven Troll that looks slightly feminine for his species (which isn't saying much). He has thin, pale limbs that look fairly weak, as well as a lack of chest muscle or tone. His presence is not very commanding, especially with dull jade eyes uncommon in troll kind, and he merges well into the background if he doesn't say anything. He is occasionally able to pass off as a human as long as his small tusks aren't seen, and speaks eloquently. His hair is quite long for a Troll, dark black and tied behind his head roughly to keep it out of his face-he rarely cuts it. He wears thick leather clothing inscribed with runes for concentration and control, which helps him keep the four separate minds in his head distinct. However, as a side effect, it also makes his channeling abilities more difficult to preform, thus acting simultaneously as a training tool and restricting bolt. Why are you in Stormfire?: As part of a pilgrimage to learn more about magic and his own state of four separate minds, Aaeren wandered farther and farther south from his old home. Guided by a vague memory of the Nameless Water Elementists, he came to Stormfire to learn more.
Otaku-sama
I SUPPORT ADVANCED RPS!!!Ahem... Name: Senennith Age: 24 Gender: Male Race: Trueborn Class: Pure Mage Weapon(s) of Choice: A long thin staff made of an unidentifiable material that resembles glass that is prismatic on the inside. The prisms inside the staff constantly shift and refract light in different ways. This shifting speeds up significantly when he channels magic through it. It has an half circle on the top that seems to be completely in the second dimension as it is invisible from the sides. This half circle also has the prismatic effect seen on the rest of the staff, but it only goes in a vortex like pattern. Senennith claims that staring into the half circle long enough will allow one to transcend into the true world beyond the edge of the current world. Biography: Senennith was born to an elf mother and a human father. His mother died in childbirth and his father dissappeared when Senennith was 10. He spent most of his time scouring over his father's books on magic when he was young. He learned of a theoretical part of magic called 'Pure Mana Channelling" in one of his father's tomes. It spoke of magic being an energy of another world parallel to theirs and that magic harnessed through elements are merely the way magic manifests itself in their world. By using certain incantations and equipment, one could utilize pure magic from the other world. Senennith managed to create the proper equipment, his staff and his robes. Once he managed to tap pure magic, his mind collapsed into madness. He destroyed his home where he lived for his entire life and most of the village using his newfound power. He has been wandering ever since. Appearance: Thin frame, nearly white skin. He has short silver hair and green eyes that purvey his collasped state of mind. He wears a single piece robe he created in his quest to channel pure magic. It also has the prismatic pattern on his staff with the exception that it reflects a strange 'black' light despite it's mirror like appearance. Why are you in Stormfire?: Senennith didn't specifically travel to Stormfire. It is simply a stop on his endless jouney to nowhere.

shadowferret
Name: Diego Solez Age: 18 Gender: Male Race: Human Class: Healer/Vanguard Weapon(s) of Choice: A rather large shield made of steel that can also be used offensively by charging at an opponent. He is mostly used to defending others in fights, and lacks a lot of offensive force. When forced to, he carries a small dagger in his cloak for emergencies. Biography: A young man who used to make a living with his family as a small group of mercenaries. Once upon a time, the Solez family was actually a group of well-respected mercenaries. The father charged with his two swords, the mother would stay back firing volley after volley of arrows, the daughter would cast her Magicks from the back, and the son sat in the front, creating a wall few enemies could get past. He helped them by healing their wounds, and they were the only weapons he would ever need against enemies. Once on a mission, this family was slain, however, by a criminal who has long since been caught by others and sent to the gallows. For the past year the sole survivor, Diego Solez, has made his living by picking up odd jobs here and there, mostly bodyguarding. Appearance: Somewhat tall, his short black hair and honey-brown eyes give him the appearance of someone who is tough but kind. His dark, heavily tanned skin sets him apart from many others, suggesting that he is somewhat of a foreigner (But who isn't these days?). He is usually seen wearing white clothing, and his large shield hangs down from his back. He wears eyelenses that magnify his brown eyes, and usually wears light armouring bearing the colour of bronze. Why are you in Stormfire?: A bodyguard job ended him up here, and he's simply looking for the next job... Hope this is okay. And hope the dual/class thingy isn't a problem. I couldn't think of the proper word for someone who fights mostly defensively with a shield... >_>
Aesirson
OoC: All accepted, and to make some notes: About Elementists: They are, as told, specialized in one of the four elements and the four elements brings different powers: Fire = Mostly Damaging and Destroying Spells. Water = Healing, ice spells for damage. Wind = Enchancing weapon, armor, body and speed to win combat. Earth = Mostly defensive spells. For WinterNights: You say your Trueborn has brown hair, but Trueborns is only able to have white to blonde hair, so if it's a light brown then you should specify that. For BlazingHydra: I realize I didn't mention exactly where Stormfire is located. It's actually located not so long south of the troll's home, but it's still south. Great app by the way. And for everyone: We can start now. IC:The heat is still very high. Around the central room a Fire Elementist of the Orc kind walks around guiding a group of trolls, including King Thord Odinsson, leader of the trolls."This is what we call The Pillar of Fire!" The orc said and pointed at the great pillar that emerged through the floor and through the roof. If you looked down through the hole that surrounded it you would not see the bottom, it seemed to go straight down to the center of the earth."I'd like to see where it starts!" A troll said and walked closer to it, but the orc stopped him."Don't go to close, if you do that we will have to carry your charred remains all the way back to Havengaard!" He said. The troll backed off and looked up to the roof where the pillar broke through."A human is doing research down there, and he didn't want to be disturbed so unfortunately we cannot show you the core of it." The orc continued. Thord, however, had a suspecting look on his face."Isn't the core the very source of fire magic? How can you let a simple human do research down there all alone, what if he messes up?" The king spoke."Oh, don't be affraid, of course there's some guards down there making sure he doesn't do something dangerous." The orc smiled."In that case, let's continue!" Thord said and started walking away from the pillar, towards one of the corridour gates.
Naimo
Harida was stood on a firm stool behind the mahogany counter in her shabby, slightly musty shop. Having had very little money when she first arrived, her sights on the large shops were out of the question. She was content with the tiny shop; despite an odd smell, the many varying scents of herbs - some fresh, some dried - tried their best to fill the shop with a fragrant scent. There was barely any shop space; the counter had been placed half way across the front of the building. Behind it was a surface full of chopping boards, bowls with crushing stones (OOC: I've completely forgotten what they're called), glass bottles slowly brewing their contents over an enhanced fire, and glass jars stacked on the neat shelves. In the doorway behind the counter, cut off from public access, was the entire stock room, full of ingredients resting peacefully, waiting to help the sick and the wounded. A loud hissing in the currently empty shop alerted the female dwarf. She disappeared behind the counter as she hopped off the stool and strolled across to the boiling bottle, getting onto another stool in the process. Tutting slightly, she grabbed a wooden stirring stick and stirred several times, switching from clockwise to anti-clockwise every three or four stirs. Once satisfied, she turned her attention back to the counter and continued to wait.
Aesirson
Suddenly Thord catches the smell of herbs, and turns around and sees the dwarf's shop."What's that smell?" He asked."Oh, that's just Harida's little shop. She sells herbs, potions and is also an excellent healer." The orc said.Without a word Thord started walking against the shop, but because it was a shop designed by a dwarf, and considering his size he had some problems getting into the shop. The otehr trolls followed their leader, except for one who stayed and talked to the orc. When Thord spotted the dwarf he smiled, which was unusual for a troll."Hello, little girl!" He said. "You don't happen to ahve any Stormleaf lying around?"
Naimo
(OOC: I picture the shop being built human-size, hence Harida having to stand on a stool to look over the counter) Harida raised an eyebrow. "I am a woman for your information," she said stiffly. "Stormleaf you say?" It rang a very faint bell but she couldn't think as to where she had heard it before. She thought to the jars stacked neatly in the store room, then grabbed a thick volume of records from under the counter. She slammed it down and dust flew up. "Sorry," she apologized as she rapidly flicked through. She remained silent for the next few minutes, reading the records. "No, we don't appear to have any Stormleaves for now." She shut the book. "But I must ask, what are they? They certainly sound familiar."
Aesirson
Thord looked a bit dissappointed at the lack of Stormleaves, but he soon started explaining."They are used in certain troll rituals, and they often grow in the frozen lands that I herald from, but they are very rare and finding one is very hard. I'm not really surprised at the lack of it, but if you don't have any I will bid you farewell." He turned around and started walking out the door with his fellow group members following. The orc was still standing at the point where Thord left him, still discussing with the troll and a new, black clad man."Shall we continue?" Thord asked the orc. "And who may you be?" He turned to the human."Oh, I'm Christopher Crowchild." The man said and grinned. "I'm here researching the core, I think Golmar already told you about me, right?""Yes, he did..." Thord said. "Shall we continue?""Yes, I think Christopher have to go back to his research?" Golmar said and started walking slowly against the corridour."I hope we'll meet again, champin of trolls!" Crowchild said and waved at their backs as they walked towards a new room.
shadowferret
He looked around this unfamiliar land with an excited look on his face. They had said this was a land of Pyromancers and Fire Elementalists. The great pillar of fire in the middle of the city seemed to emit a wave of heat that Diego's brow sweat even more profusely. "Man, this is amazing to look at and all, but... why do you have to live in such a hot place?" The young woman standing at his side looked around as if this was the most comfortable place in her life. She was even wearing a jacket in this land of fire, soliciting many odd looks from Diego. "I love the warmth. Thanks for the escort, Mr. Solez. I suppose I should give you your money now..." The young woman who went by the name of Yesenia Oride reached her hand into her blouse, trying to find her money. The woman wasn't unattractive. She had long blonde hair and very tan skin, but she was kinda short for a human. As he awaited his payment. Diego noticed a rather regal looking troll around the marketplace. He stuck out for some reason. "Oh, that's the Troll King Thord Odinsson. He's a rather vicious warrior, actually..." The woman watched the Troll King with Diego, and she could obviously tell he was curious. "I don't think it'd be a smart idea to get close... but you never know. Here." She handed him the money he was owed for the Bodyguard job, and quickly turned away, knowing very well what she was in for if she stuck around. Naimo
"No wonder why it sounded so familiar," said Harida as she stowed the book away. "So they're used by the trolls." She turned her attention to the potion again. Now satisfied with it, she put the fire out and tipped it into a bottle, corking it when she was finished. She soon shut her shop and left to deliver the potion, walking across the marketplace and jostling everyone.
Braner
OoC: Sorry i didn't post sooner. Is the post okay as this is my first time in an advanced RP Jack pushed his way through the crowd as he walked about the city. He towered over the residents of the city and even most of the travelers. He passed marchants on the side of the roads bartering their goods with other. He paid no mind to their screeching as they attempted to sell their goods to the travelars. The only thing he was interested in was a shop on the other end of town run by a dwarf called Harida. He had heard she was a master of making potions and he hoped that perhaps, she knew a cure for his "disease". He tightened his hood and kept on walking until he made his way to his destination. A large sign hung over the door reading "Harida's Herbs". (OoC: Hope you don't mind) An odd smell came from the shop old shop that stung Jack's nostrils. He hammered on the door waiting for an answer. There was none."Damn... now what." He though as he stood outside the shop.
Otaku-sama
Senennith wandered in the firey hot city. He wiped some sweat from his brow as he stared at the famous Pillar of Fire in the middle of the city."Heheh...Shiny...Now where is that magic pot of the Newborn...?"Senennith started to scour the surrounding area for a non-existant object for a few minutes. Suddenly, he saw some people gathering in a nearby shop. He suddenly put his staff to his ear."...What's that? Over there? That's where the pot is...?"He snuck over there and suddenly burst into the shop. He frantically looked around for the pot and was taken aback by the amount of pots in the shop. He opened and closed the many pots only to be presented with various herbs. After a few seconds of this, he let his senses tell him where he was. He looked around and realized that he was only in a mere herb shop, surrounded by alienated townsfolk."Oh...Excuse me...I was looking for the pot of the Newborn...Do any of you know where it is?" shadowferret
OoC: We already left the shop' date=' so you can either change your post or post something new =P[/quote'] OoC: >.< It takes me a while to think of good posts. And those two new ones showed up as I was typing mine. DX Edit'd my post ----- The Troll King had left the shop already, and soon after the shop owner closed her shop up. Diego watched these events unfold, and soon realized that nothing really interesting was gonna happen soon. He looked down into his hand and noticed the money he'd just received. It was enough to keep him in inns and fed for about a week. "Awesome. So, what to do....?" To the extent of his knowledge, people usually listed odd jobs they wanted done on bulleting boards within the many inns he stayed at. So, his next move was pretty much already decided. He headed deeper into the city, passing through the marketplace on the way. "Of course, I could always splurge and buy myself something wicked..." Lunar Roze
Katrina sighed. She kenw nothing aoubt htis new hot city she wondered in. She didn't know where anyhting was like any new city she goes to. She never does prepare properly. Her warrior training had taught her to do just that. However, she was more used to her bounty hunter ways. She found herself an inn to stay at for the night. She saw a bulletin board with a list of odd jobs. She tore the sheet off and looked it over. She didn't see any reason she couldn't do all of them. She didn't have anyhting better to do.
