Sci Fi RP: The Singularity War. Chap 1 (Basic) (Started) (Accepting all) (PG-13)

The plot is long, so you might wanna skim it.

When a AI becomes self improving. Thus improving on it's already smart self would result in a surge towards superintelligence.

 

 

 

[spoiler= Plot]

In the far future. A scientest ,named Edward Lord, in the United States created the first Super AI. He named it "Mother", and gave it three directives.

1) To ensure the growth, happiness, and survival of the human race without taking away any freedoms.

2) To help humanity with any problem that should arise.

3) And to greatly advance the study of medical science, mathmatics, and etc.

Human kind greatly prospered from Mother, in less then a decade, space travel technology has greatly advanced, the same with bioengineering, and communications. Space colonies has sprung on Mars, and many other planets. Bioengineering has now allowed cripples and war veterans to regain their limbs. Newer communication methods allow near instantanous chats over thousands of miles. Interplanetary travel is a common occurance now. Due to Mother's advice on economics, many countries hardly have any poor or live in proverty, and pooled together to create a space elevator, then a ring circling the earth, greatly reducing the stress on the planet. Also due to her help in agraculture, the world is greatly producing a abundant harvest. Also, because of Mother finding a way to make cleaner, and better energy gathering methods, the world is filled with clean air and water. People now merge themselves with cybernetic implants, augmenting their intelligence, physical powers, and looks. Many also chose to mentally merge with Mother, creating a large network much like the internet, only in your head.

 

But all good things have to end, group of terrorists captured the scientist and tortured him to create another Super AI, who they call "Father" to counter Mother. With it, they managed to hack into all the world's military computers and servers, gaining control of missiles and computer based weaponry. But as soon as they gain control of the weapons, Father quickly turned on his creators and killed them. It then gathered it's forces and waged war on humanity. Mother, helping to negotiate with the agressive AI, managed to create a deal. They allowed Father control of a planet of his own, and made a pact to help each other. Father also gave people the choice to merge with robotic bodies, leaving their fragile bodies behind. Now, people who only interested for their own gain flocked to Father to become "immortal".

 

During the centuries of peace between Mother and Father, religion lost it's power and importance in life. Humans became tolerant of many things. Humankind found many lifeforms in the universe. They have became in contact with the Izzris ( A hivemind race of insects) and the Draconites (Near immortal race of humanoid dragons) and the Yariza ( Not a single race, but a union of species living in harmony). But war broke out when Father declared war on all the races. It's the start of the war, Father's army stampedes through the stars, but only to be forced back the the united races.

This is where your life begins. Do you side with Mother or Father?

 

 

 

[spoiler= Races]

These are the races you can chose to RP as.

 

Izzris: A race of insects following orders from a Hive Queen who is linked telepathicly. They all have different shapes and sizes, depending on their role in the hive. Their most favored weapon is a carrier, using plasma based weaponry. They usually live up to 10 years. 20 for warriors.

 

Draconites: A space faring species whose origins are lost. They resemble walking iguanas. Some who are born with wings are usually seen as a gifted schoalor. They utilize highly advanced technology that seems to be based around advanced mathmatics. Their weapons all seem to be energy based. All of them also seem to be able to sense each other's thoughts, leading to the myth that they are all accomplished psychics. Their goverment is seemed to be a monarchy. Due to their metabolism, they can live up to a centuary.

 

Yarizas: Are a race of aliens that are refugees. All of them come from different planets and systems, but they all seem to get along. Among them, Greys are the most prominate. Their weaponry ranges from biological weapons to atomic bombs. Their form of goverment is a democracy.

Felinites: A race similar to the humans only decending from a cat like ancestor. There are accounts of humans and Felinites families. They still keep the cat-like tail and ears of their parents. They are known to live as long has humans. They use weapons close to the humans, only based on creature designs.

 

Klacks: Turtle like aliens, they have the same life span as the Draconites, and are sometimes considered a distant relative of the species. They are spiritualistic and most elders served as shamans. They mostly served as commanders and stragetists for the Yarizas. Their weaponry seems to mostly consist of magnetic sheilds, raditation beams, laser rifles, and RailGuns.

 

Clarckhas: A race of humanoid birds. They are treated with great respect. They specialize in guerilla warfare, and use biological weapons. One of their greatest creations is something close to the Leviathen. They live long lives, half of those of the Draconites.

 

Greys: They were the one who formed the Yariza. They originally wanted to come out of the open to the humans, but didn't believe the time was right. They mostly serve as the political leaders of the Yariza.

 

 

 

Cyborgs: Humans who have ether been implanted with nano chips and are linked to Mother. They make the majority of the human race. Their goverment is a republican, but with Mother always gaining complete control when it comes to diplomatic relationships with aliens or Father. The other cyborgs are war veterans or people who lost their limbs. They replaced their limbs with cybernetic ones, greatly aguementing them. Some even replaced most of their bodies with them. Their weaponry are made of ballistic weapons like guns and bombs, to cyber warfare using viruses. Due to advanced medical care, humans now live up to 150 years.

 

Immortals: A term given to the people who turned to Father. They left their bodies and were given robotic ones. They continuesly stay alive by replacing their parts with new and better ones. Their weaponry consists of the same ones of their cyborg relatives.

 

Espers: A rumored species of aliens that seem to be made out of nothing but energy. Very few believe in their existense. (You cannot chose this race yet....)

Having no prince to take after, her mom married a modest human that loved Nikki. Her parents are currently very ill(They will die near the beginning.), & she is close to marrying a unknown human.(First one to call it gets it). (EDIT)She is also linked to mother by a chip. But the chip is in her mother's crown.

Career: She is the Princess of Felinites.

He startd by uploading the new program. Then all of a sudden his back started to ach and he fainted, as he woke up he found that he has cyber wings on his back. Then he tried out the pistals. As he pulled the trigger he closed his eyes. Click... nothing happened. Must be brocken he though. Then he uplouded the other program. "Identifing DNA sturcture... aquired, clearense accepted Identity: Zeke Uriu, Age 13, Race: Cyborg You may now use your twin pistals." Zeke grabed the pistals and fired them at the same time. The two blue lazers fired out blasting a hole in the wall. He then left getting ready to kill the Father.

Bio: Oweramu Zrayk was a great scientist. He was a cyborg and linked to Mother. In an unfortunate accident, Oweramu was accidently launched out of an air lock and was sent into a state of suspended animation (his robotic parts stopped him from dying).

When Father was created and hacked into all the worlds computers, he found alot of information on Oweramu Zrayk. Father sent a space craft into space and retreived the body of Oweramu. Father created a copy of Oweramu's inteligence and placed it in a robotic body (Father then killed the original Oweramu). The new body was activated and dubbed "Oweramu Zrayk II". O.Z.II beleives himself to be the original.

He will instantly carry out Father's order and has almost no personality.

 

Career: Data storage/Exploration/Battle.

 

Pic or description: O.Z.II can transmit his mind to three bodies via Father.

Body 1 (Wire body) - A human head completely covered in wires and metal so only the eyes and some hair shows. This is connected to a massive metal sphere. The sphere sits insides a room, conencted to the walls via various pipes and wires. The room is inside a base that is currently orbiting around inbetween Saturns rings.

Body 2 (mobile body) - The head from Body 1. It is placed on a human shaped body. The body is covered in a metal armour in odd twisting and swirling shapes, like it has been dipped in liquid metal.

Body 3 (battle body) - A body around 7ft tall. It is roughly human shaped. The limbs are covered in more cube like shapes. The chest can open to reveal a few small missiles (one can blow up a car). A laser cannon sits on the shoulder (after firing one shot it needs to recharge for a while). The fingers on the hands of this bodies can clip together to form rotating barrel machine guns.

O.Z.II feels almost NO emotion. He knows no fear or anger or any other emotion that could distract him in a fight. If he sucsessfully completes a mission for Father, he gets a feeling that resembles happiness.

If Body 1 is destroyed, then the other two bodies will stop functioning and Oweramu Zrayk II will die.

He's now 50 years old, still in the military, and fighting in another star system fighting against Father's forces.

ooc: Sorry guys, I couldnt start yesterday, my fam keeps stealing the laptop from me. But now we can start.

 

In the far reaches of the stars, Father had sent his probes to find planets to colonize. On the war torn planet of Regis 5, a dusty planet that seems dead stuck in a binary system, Jow was stationed there. His body was gone, lost in a far away battle, the only biological parts of him are only his skull and his spine. He kept a look out. He was in a bunker, there were some other guys over here, privates. It was night on this planet, gusts of wind often obscur a regular human's eyes, but he wasn't human anymore...... He switched to night vision and looked around. He saw something crash down, a huge explosion followed.

"This is Jow to HQ, I repeat, this is Jow to HQ, I've sighted a possible enemy craft, permission to go check it out?" Jow asked.

"This is HQ, permission granted, percede with caution." A scruffy voice replied.

Jow got up and got his mini gun and a ballistic mask to cover his face. He opened the thick doors and went out. He went towards the crash site, about 40 feet away from the bunker, he ran. It took him five minutes to reach there, he wasn't even tired. He looked around, only a small crater was there. He walked around and saw something. A small hovering object was flying away. Jow saw it and knew it was a probe. He grabbed his pistol and shot it. The probe stopped and fell. He ran towards it and grabbed it then made way to home.

"Just another funking day in the wastlelands" Muttered Jow.

Nikki was at her parent's deathbed. The mother & father removed their crowns. "Nikki, put my crown on." She said after changing back into her form as a princess. "Serve our race well." They both said. They died afterwards, & turned to dust. Nikki put on the crown & changed. She got a little taller, & her features changed. Her clothes went to a blue dress-like thing with a black robe. She wiped a tear, & went outside on the balcony. Cheers came from the crowd. "Queen Nikki!" They chanted.

Zeke was walking around looking for any suplies in a ruined house in a ruined city. He checked out the bacement and saw a red button with wrighting saying "Do not push" He pushed the button and fell through a hole. "What the?" He arrived in a futuristic looking panic room. He saw a ship with a skelitin in it. "Poor guy didnt make it in time." He took a pass card forom the skelloton and and threw it out. He swip the card and the roof oppened. He shot out into the sky. "Might as well use this to fight the Father..."

Kurama entred in a almost invisible hole on the ground , It was the secret base of the Birdies , It was a big cave full of computers and his Guerilla warriors (about 25 Clarckhas) Middle in the Cave there was a big metal table with a weird looking robot drawn down on it , The Immortal was out , Kurama went to Jillos and said "How it's going?" Jillos looked up "It was quiet dommaged, but i think we can put in on" answered Jillos, Kurama watched at the immortal , "I Hope nothing gonna going wrong" Jillos laught " Don't worry chief , one wrong movement and Chick and Thkin blow his head off" Kurama looked at 2 heavily armed Clarckhas, "hehehe , thats true" then he looks at Jillas "So put him on then" Jillos connected a some cables on the robots head (he had 2 holes on the back oh his head) and connected the cables on a generator , "Okay let's go" then he pulled the lever and a great elektric shock past trough the robot , and he opens his eyes " What the? What am i doing here?" said he with a weird voice "Then he clicked on his arm and activated the radar " hahaha now you are doome..." The head of the robot exploded . Kurama was shocked " You fools now father know us secret base! HUrry up we need to leave this place!...

Jow got back to the bunker. He dragged the probe in.

"Someone take a look at this peice of sheet." Ordered Jow.

One of the engineers got up and went to the probe.

"Hmmmm. Well, you managed to keep this thing in one peice, but, you kinda destroyed the memory bank of this thing. Since there's no sign of any weapons on this, it must be scouter or probe. But, since you killed the memory bank, we can't get any info. But, since they probaly lost contact with this thing, they'll send reinforcements or investigate." Said the engineer.

"Well then, what's your name?" Jow asked.

"Joe sir."

"Well Joe, you just gave us a sheet load of work to do now." Said Jow. "Everyone! Since Joe just said they'll send more troops over here, I want a crew 3 of guys and 1 engineer assembled in 5 minutes. Also, everyone else fortify this bunker! I want guns and weapons ready! I'll also want 2 people sentried at each of their posts, with a EMP launcher and a rocket launcher at the sky! Shoot any of Father's ships if you see any. All Sharpshooters to their funking posts now!" Jow ordered.

Everyone scowled angrily at Joe and got to work.

"Mother, come in." Nikki said into her crown. "Queen Anna & King Nicholai have died. Queen Nikki here, no King yet. Just telling you the news." She tears up at the thought of her dead parents.

Jow looked at the team. 3 privates and Joe.

"Alright men. We're gonna set up a defense grid. We'll be installing mines, auto turrents, cameras, and most importantly of all, a EM forcefield grid. Any questions?" Jow said.

"Ummm, yeah, si-" Said a meek private.

"Good! Now lets go!"

 

They got out of the bunker and installed the mines in random patches. Then they dug holes and installed the auto turrents. The turrents are designed to pop out of the ground if any pressure or vibrations are detected with in the ground, they fire a burst of 3 plasma darts. Then finally, within 10 feet of the bunker, Joe squated down to set up the EM forcefield. A large tube was lined up and was being aimed at the sky.

In a regular house at earth, a news broadcast is being aired. A female voice spoke. "Her" voice was soft and comforting.

 

"This is Mother. In our war against Father, neither side is winning. We need to push a little more to tip the scale towards our side. Currently, our soldiers in the Regis system are holding them off. The Yarizas are currently supporting our troops. Currently the Felenites, members of the Yarizas, are nursing our troops at their fine hospitals. The Draconites continue their search for Father's house of operations. Also, the Izzris continue to supply our troops with their fine weapons and armor. Thanks to their hard work and labor, our troops are able to have a continous supply of ammo. On more local news, scientists continue to disprove of these "Esper" beings. Stating that no thing can live without any body or matter. But many still report these sightings. Espers are believed to be a alien race far advanced then anyone. Many claim they can control matter and have psychic powers. One person even claimed their gods and that they have came to end this war and bring about a "Golden Utopia". This is Mother bringing the news to everyone linked or unlinked."

Nikki conjoined to the news. "And the Felinites lost their king & queen. Their sole child, me, Nikki, is their new queen. Their isn't a king yet." She explained to Mother.
