Katsu gestured to stop the tennis game and walked over to Tomoyo, thinking it may be easier to talk to a strange girl he dosn't know about the notebook.

Tomoyo blinked. She put down her racket and tennis ball and bowed to him. "Hello. Pleased ot meet you. I'm Tomoyo." She smiled happily and friendly.

"Glad to meet you as well, Tomoyo Sohma." He gave an evil smirk as he said her second name. "I'm Katsu Hikaru. Katsu is written with the symbols for victory and Hikaru has the symbols for Light." Dika had whispered something to his ear. He then put his hand in his bag, and tore a piece from his death note discretely. The piece of paper between his fingers, he gestured for a handshake.

Tomoyo wanted to ask how he knew her last name but did not. She took her hand and shook it. She grabbed the pice of paper in his hand. She saw a figure next to him. She lbinked and swallowed. She continued to smile though. "Ah. Katsu Hikaru, why did you stop playing your game of tennis?"

"Didn't you see and hear that guy I accidentally hit? I think it's best for my health if I avoid him by leaving...or kill him..." He whispered the last part to himself. Dika was jumping up and down frantically.

"she took the piece! She can see me! YAY! More humans to talk to! I'm Dika! Glad I can talk to you..."

 

"That's enough." Katsu whispered. "If we talk much more, then people will think we're mad. Let's find somewhere inside." people were already staring from a distance.

Toko walked back to the court with his cup of lemonade in a mcdonalds happy meal and saw the 2 tennis players talking to this guy.

"Excuse me, but i would like an apology after 2 tennis balls hit my head." he exclaimed.

none seemed to listen.

"Fine" he said, and sat down with his happy meal.

Toko rummaged through his happy meal, and found a toy of Kira. with this toy though was a strange pad of paper. a death note.

 

"wha wha wha whaaaaat is that," he said. " a....dddd.dd.dd.d.d.death no.o.t.t.t.t.e.e.e? I thought they were no more. clearly not. at least i can have revenge on those tennis players AND avenge my father. but how do i use the death note thingy?"

Tomoyo nodded. "Right. Follow me, theres a cafe nearby I work at. No one is there and I have the key. We can talk in private there."

"Great. Let's go. And sorry, Toko Yasama Lik." Katsu said as he turned and apologised to Toko, again, not going to explain how he knew their name. He started to walk off, and waitied for Tomoyo to lead the way.

Tomoyo grabbed her things. She lead the way to the cafe only a block away. She unlocked the door and walked inside. She turned on a small light for them. She palced her stuff on a table as she went into the kitchen for a minute. The next minute she came out with hot tea, basket full of apples, and tons of pocky. She placed it all on the table. She offered Katsu a seat as well as the figure near him.

Katsu sat and smiled.

"Judging by your reaction - or lack thereof - I guess you already know about Shinigami and the note?"

 

"We all know that! Come one! Ask!" Dika said impatiently.

 

"(hang on while I shut her up)" Katsu whispered. "Dika. I have a game. I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 10--"

"Is it six?"

"No. Think until I and Tomoyo finish our conversation, and then if you get it right, kill that many people...old people."

 

"OK!" Dika walked off and began thinking. Katsu looked back at Tomoyo, as if wanting her to answer his first question.

Tomoyo sat down as well. "Well, I didn't know Shinigami came with the Death Note until now. Or well, I didn't believe it."

"uh-huh...Ok, I have another question...Sorry if I'm being intrusive, but I just want to find out more stuff about the notebook, and such...Have you actually read the how to use it bit? Or have you even used it yet?" He took out his DEATH NOTE and placed it on the table.

Toko hyad stalked them all the way, and when he was eavesdropping, he found out about how to us the deathnote. He got it out and wrote a name, a random one then waited

 

In 40 seconds, a random man in cafe died.

 

"woah. i killed someone and noone knows!" he thought.

suddenly out of nowhere this Beautiful pink thing appeared out of nowhere.

"what are you...." toko whispered.

Tomoyo got out hers and placed the note on teh table as well. "I've used it and read the rules. I have yet to see it work though. I will find out tomorrow when I walk to school. This came to me after I have wished for something like it."

"You've used it? Hmm...If that's the cast, a Shinigmai will appear sometime within the next month...Do you have any idea what kind of stuff could happen if we used this book? We could make a perfect world...free of crime, and evil!"

Tomoyo's face lit up in delight. "You share the same dream as I do! Yes, we could rid the world of evil and make it perfect!"

"Great! I guess that makes us a team, if we work together. You can cover media-covered crimes, and I can deal with crimes on the street..."

 

Dika had given up her game and interrupting.

"Aren't you going to tell her about the deal? You're no fun."

Tomoyo nodded enthusiastically. "Alright partner." She looked towards the Shinigami. "What deal? Oh, well, I'm Tomoyo though I know you know that. I thought I should introduce myself though." Tomoyo smiled.

Well, when your Shinigami appears, you can trade half of your lifespan to get the Shinigami eyes...like me." Katsu pointed to his eyes, which were solid red. "With this, you can see people's names and lifespans above them - it even works on pictures! So with this, I can get rid of street crime! In secret - We all know waht'lll happen if we're caught!" Katsu took his finger and moved it along his neck, imitating a head being cut off, to say execution.

ooc: just got back and read your ooc's. I explain y i killed the man. I wrote a random name and that mans name was the one i wrote down so he died!

 

Ic: Toko was feeling bad. He did not meen to kill the man. He had just wrote a name.

"He's alive" he heard a doctor say.

"phew" he thought. At least he hadnt done it!

Thomas was stalking Katsu without being noticed. he knows he has a death note and wants to find out more. For he already had the shinigami eyes. he would reveal himself at a later time.

Dika was jumoing up and down, waiting for a new game. Katsu nodded and walked out with Dika following.

"So...According to some of our files, criminals mysteriously died about a century ago. Most of the original files seem to have been permanently deleted, but there are a few remaining parts of the original investigation on paper - though these are fading." Said a man in the sadows. All of the other police investigators looked around and nodded. They were starting an investigation already.

Tomoyo bowed ot him and his shinigami as they left. Once gone, she put away everything but took an apple for herself. She munched on it as she walked home after locking up the cafe. She made sure she had everything before walking towards her home.
