The first 3 cards are actually remakes OF REMAKES of Gurren/Lagann/Gurren Lagann cards I made waaay back when TTGL was JUST about to conclude it's entire series in Japan. The idea of making Gurren Lagann a Synchro Monster came from /m/.

These cards are not being showcased. I am actually accepting changes for these. Not that they're overpowered. At least not to me; I'm a high-tier player of YGO in real life and these would not defeat me, so naturally, I don't think they're that strong.

As per my own method of madness, I related their effects to their nature, with Lazengann being very similar to Gurren Lagann; in the anime, it's even mentioned they are the same type of machine.

Oh, and those images. Those amazing images. As soon as I saw them, I had to have them. Card art is my specialty, you know.

I'm rambling. Look, rate, gawk, praise, purposely refuse to think they're nice because I'm sorta a mean guy, whatever.

GL is only LV7 because of his synchro materials. I didn't want Gurren to be a LV5, and Lagann as a LV4 Tuner would be messed up and probably abused somehow, so I left them as is.

The first 2 versions of GL were LV8 effect nomis, and would let the player draw each time a machine destroyed something by battle. Then I was like "Nah, funk that".

I wish I had the source of the images. I'm using Google Translator and not seeing anything! Gah! Must know!

Fire of a Man's Soul - Gurren:

The attack is good. 1900 for a FourStar is pretty good right now, considering. Being a Machine, you have access to a few support cards, though few are worth any time. You have Overdragon and Fortress Dragon though, which is nice. Limiter Removal makes it almost half their life in brute force.

As for the effect, you can stall your own draw a turn to stall their draw a turn also, but when you stall theirs you're forcing them to repeat a summon of the same monster to get back to where they were, hypothetically. That being said, they probably wouldn't put the same monster back if you had a 1900 out, unless it was a Tribute, and then they'd need to come up with tribute material somewhere. I'd use it to hit backrow more often than not, since you can make a clear shot at their face, or the face of a monster. Hypothetical +1, even if you do, since you're wasting your draw.

I'd probably say it's a 5/10. It's effect is alright, but it's attack is good. Picture is good, but irrelevant to how good the card is.

Courage of a Hero's Heart - Lagann:

It's a ThreeStar, which opens unique opportunity for support, though little is worth running. Hypothetically speaking, your best bet is to stick with Giant Rat. It's ATK being 1500 is what really increases the range of cards that function with it, since the majority of tutoring abilities only fall onto FourStar and under, and 1500 ATK or less.

The effect is sub-par for me. On the one hand, it hates on Reaper, Marshmallon, Hoplomus, Spy, Guard and every Defense Position GB that was saved with a Waboku. On the other hand, Reaper, Marshmallon, and GBs are becoming less popular in the meta and not many other decks run cards that would cause both monsters to still be out after a successful attack. Your most common chance for the effect is going to be on a Spy, but even then it's going to be rare.

The attack is good for strategic purpose, opening support, but the effect is only moderate. 4/10. Sweet pic.

Power to Pierce the Heavens - Gurren Lagann:

THIS is one that really shines. It's effects and attack are simply stunning.

It's got the most attack of any SevenStar Synchro Monster, and it has more Original ATK than most Synchro Monsters, only falling short to Gottoms by 100, and tieing with Red Dragon Archfiend. With that said, he'll be doing a lot of attacking, and a lot of that attacking is going to seriously hurt.

To over-emphasize that point, Piercing Damage is tagged on. That means that even a defensive opponent is going to be hurting after just a couple shots from this beast.

And if pumping out damage like a teenage scene girl on E pumps out oral and cuddles wasn't enough, he offers a unique brand of hand refreshment every time he takes a shot, only further rewarding an aggressive playstyle.

And even if that was too little to keep you interested, when it's destroyed, you auto +1 on returning the Synchro Material to your field, and with moderate and above average attack power to boot, meaning that you could Limiter Removal swing for up to 6000, shuffle your hand a little, set a defense, and tag into two monsters for the swarm. Stunning isn't a strong enough word.

My only problem is that it requires me to run cards that I would consider only moderate to make it available, so it's kind of a pain to summon.

8/10, easily. Fantastic card, overall, regardless of the summoning conditions.

Right Hand of the Helix King - Enki:

Right off the bat, we see a couple interesting things. For starters, it's MonarchGrade ATK and Level, which are nice. It's got a DARK attribute, meaning Dark Armed Dragon, Dark Creator, Allure, and a host of other good cards are synergistically available, so running it doesn't hinder anything in the rest of the deck.

Then the effect catches your eye. The first half is a little like a Zaborg and a Mobius had a baby, which is absolutely fine with me. Having to be face-up is a bit of a drag, but, overall, I don't think it matters that much.

The second part is kind strange for me. It has unique advantages over Gladiator Beasts, since they'll either die or be forced to Waboku them to safety, but if they do, they'll be unable to tag out, making them worthless. It makes the Waboku/Hoplomus play a sad panda, for sure. It also has power over Marshmallon and Reaper, although it wouldn't be able to kill them right off the bat. Making them vulnerable is a nice thing though. The downside is that cards such as Gravekeeper's Spy and Dekoichi wouldn't be negated until after the effect already happened, so they can dodge around it.

I'm going to say that the first effect makes it dangerous, the stats make it real threat, and the second effect is pretty mediocre, but adding a small bonus to a good card doesn't make it worse, it just gives it a funny little perk.

7/10.

Fury of the Helix King - Lazengann:

It's got a pretty substantial attack, which is what jumped out at me right away. In the sense of what support is available, it's identical to Right Hand, but it has those silly SevenStar support cards like Tribute Doll, if that's your thing. I wouldn't bother, but the interaction is there.

It can be Special Summoned off of an Allure or D-Draw, which are probably the most common times it would be activated, so that's nice. Getting a +0 Special with 2800 ATK is never a bad thing. Then you can take into account that it has the same last effect as Right Hand, which is identical in every way.

The piercing damage isn't a huge deal, but it's certainly a welcome little upgrade. I don't know if I'd say this card is BETTER than Right Hand, but the Special Summon is nice, so we'll call it VERY close, but maybe just a little under.

6/10. I was REALLY leaning on 7/10, but I just can't do it.

All the art is sweet though.
