Yes. my old removal deck worked great especially when I made my opponent discard cards at times when they needed them also, if your cards get removed, your cards effects getter the better deal because they revolve around the removing and removed. like D.D. Dinamite.

but there is one thing known amoung duelists I know, "anybody can run a removal deck."
