For example, barbers create economic activity because they think it is nice, they create economic activity because they need to feed their children. Those who love someone else do it simply to make themselves feel good, for example. This also applies to animals. We shouldn't feel guilty because we're an efficient race that actually managed to progress forward. Dark Mousy Posted October 19, 2009 Report Share Posted October 19, 2009 I study economics and I find this thread interesting. Socialism failed for the most part because of 1 reason. There are no incentives, people are generating economic activity inefficiently as humans are selfish, they don't need to work hard anymore.
