IRL Deck, X-L's Skilltown proto-type

BulletMan

Recommended Posts

IRL build.

I've tested it, and 3 AGGD's does bad, but 2 AGGD's does quite well, and since I won't likely have 3 Geartowns and {insert Spell/Trap removal card here} in my hand, I will usually only have 1 AGGD at a time. And if 1 is sent to the Graveyard, he can just be brought back with Geartown.

Trade In has also done well, given me plenty of good hands. Beast Machine King has done very well, and you could say is the card that will usually deliver the final blow. So after much testing, I've gotten the feel of it, and the power it had was incredible; I would dare say a threat to Lightsworns. However, I still do not have all the cards for it. But this is it for the time being, and I will use it for the next tourny.

MONSTERS: 20

SPELLS: 12

x1 Giant Trunade

x1 Mystical Space Typhoon

x2 Forbidden Chalice

x1 Lightning Vortex

TRAPS: 8

x3 Skill Drain

x3 Reckless Greed

x2 Bottemless Trap Hole

MAIN FOCUS/HOW TO USE THIS DECK:

Use Skill Drain to pump up your monsters and destroy your opponents effects. Geartown's great synergy with Skill Drain is amazing, making beatsticks easy to come by. Geartown also has another little trick with Skill Drain. If your opponent wants to Heavy Storm while you got both, he will have to think first, because unless he has something else, AGGD will come out. Or he could not and let there not be an AGGD, but his monsters effects are useless. The other advantages of this Deck are that it creates a field of atleast 2800+ ATK monsters to combat with, aswell as your opponent unable to use monsters like JD or DAD very well. So we put the opponent at a disadvantage, destroy the problems, swarm the field with beatsticks, and GG?

Weaknesses:

The Deck can sometimes be put off with hand advantage due to how much you try to win, lowering your hand and making a comeback if your opponent turns the tide at that point, risky. Sometimes this Deck can be an all out or lose condition. So if you try out this Deck, in order to avoid this, try to conserve your hand until you got a sure win, or think you got enough to do so.

If you have anything to say/Fix, do so.

*net decked* I'm definatly testing when I get the time, I've liked Skill Town since it was invented but never saw the absolute win of it until now. +1 Limiter Removal somehow? Seeing as AGGD is super easy to get out (and it's a Machine) it would seem to work well, and if you fail, well, you were going to die anyways D:

I have tested this Deck (most of it) on WC09. Since it didn't have Rose, I had to use Mist Valley's LV 4 Tuner instead.

My playtest were against some builds of mine, and the most powerful of the CPU opponents. Judgemnet Dragon dude was hard at first, because he kept on using Honest. So I decided to play conservenantly. After turns of slowing his Deck down with my cards, I finally got a hold of him, and unleashed Skill Drain. Before that, I only had around 2000 LP, he had 6000, I was getting worried until Skill Drain came. I wrapped it up with BMKBur/AGGD and I think another one. He had Summoned JD to protect himself. I lol'ed, cause the most powerful card this meta was wimpering to my Deck. Then he went Ka-Boom, I won.

Next I went against a Gadget Anti-Meta Deck. He kept on using Raigeki Break, but I kept Summoning AGGD or had something better. When I got Skill Drain, he had a load of Gadgets in his hand. So I went,"This is going to be annoying. So I set most of my cards (Including Skill Drain) and Morphing Jar. And sure enough, he attacks it. He went down in power as I activated Skill Drain, and he was dead as soon as I had it.

Plants, heck, easier than I thought.

Zombies had a really good start, getting REZD and DEndDragon. I had nothing except Geartown, until I drew another. I got AGGD, showed him whos boss. Then he got Spirit Reaper. I had to wait until I got Skill Drain to destroy it. Until that, he annoyed me with Pyramid Turtles and RyuKokkis. But at the same time, I had 2 AGGD's, 1 BMKBur, and 1 BKB. Thats when I got Skill Drain. If the guy I was playing was real (PSZ) his lower jaw would drop. Literally. It was a good game.

Show, this Deck is something I really believe people should invest in. It's actually pretty cheap Deck compared to things like LS or BW, and this Deck is ABSOLUTELY 100% competitive. It wins tournaments, and if the right build was made, I could dare say regionals or jumps.

I'm happy with my invention. :D

Just to update a little, I've kept on modifying the Deck on WC09. I've added Noble man of extermination to get rid of pesky face-down traps that might ruin my plans. They've worked wonders.

And I've done many more tests duels. It beat LS yesterday without a scratch. Unless you count the 1000- Skill Drain cost. Other Decks are just nothing compared to its power. I'd like to see what would happen if people began making a copy of something like this Skill Town and played it on WC09. It's fun and powerful.
