Manga

I use to be a great skeptic towards manga and anime.

But I was recently introduced to a manga and I haven't been able to put it down. 0.o

The manga:

Ai Yori Aoshi

Put into a Literature Category the manga would fall into that of "Romantic Comedy"

I have run out of access to the rest of the series, which I believe is a total of 12. I've only been able to get the first 3 =(, and the site a friend of mine uses for manga doesn't have this manga.

I didn't make this thread to talk about manga or literature. But instead to talk about circumstances where you were a skeptic of something, only later in life to come actually enjoy whatever it is you were skeptic to.

Too many things.

The most major thing, IMO, would be rejecting learning Chinese back when I was like, Grade 3.

And now that I need it, I *facecaked* really hard. Damn it.

Then we have the hundreds of minor things that I'm skeptical about, but did it anyway and liked it.

I'm a little upset with my mom for this reason. It's of her own skeptic, kind of like Strawberry-Nii-Chan's:

My mom debated on teaching me Indonesian when I was a baby.

As I grew older, I asked her later on about why she hasn't tought me her home language.

She facepalmed herself, mentally, I'm sure, because next she said, "I didn't think it'd help you with anything. Indonesian isn't a popular language, nor is it used much in America," and I replied, "But mom, it'd give me a language that I can use to communicate with you."

We both still regret not teaching me Indonesian...

It'd help a lot at the moment, cause my mome's whole side of the family is Indonesian.

Pardon me, but what is *facecaked*?

That reminds me of when I was younger, me and my friends would have to be kicked in the privates whenever we made a stupid decision when the choice was obvious.

I am glad we no longer do that.

They still undertake barbaric practices like that in Suriname. It's really quite upsetting.

I use to dislike rap. Now I find that certain artists are pretty decent. Still a horrible genre though. >_>

I also use to hate drugs. Now I can get enough of them D: *scratches neck*

As for the manga deal:

I only one read Satan 666 and Naruto. Not vary varied but the storylines in namge usually end up being poo-poo.....so yeah.

I lol'd that Satan666 actually got published in America...although they changed the name so parents wouldn't figure out that the story is about Satan just from the cover XD

Why would you read Naruto? :/

Maybe he's supporting mangas related to other mangas.

O Parts Hunter/Satan 666 was created by Seishi Kishimoto whose brother is Masashi Kishimoto creator of Naruto.

I've been reading it since forever. The storyline has pretty much gone south but I'm just gonna keep reading until Sasuke is dead.

Naw. I didn't even know about that until I read the first one. The title just caught my eye.

I once hated Vista. Now I love it.

Windows Vista is underrated by people who DON'T ACTUALLY USE IT MORE THAN A MONTH.

You need to use Vista for a certain period of time before you can actually say that it's not so great compared to XP.

But all-in-all, it really depends on what you're using it for. The only actual thing I don't like Vista compared to XP would be the picture viewer, but other than that, everything's actually fine.
