My second set intended for use in a hypothetical fanfic. (the first set being my Power Set), this one actually being a little more original.

 

A luck-based set with Unions that revolves around always having more field presence and card advantage than my opponent? Say it aint so!

Lutte - Desert of the Luxa

[spell/Field]

You may Special Summon Union monsters from your Hand and equip them to an appropriate monster on your side of the field (Tributes are still required for monsters Level 5 and more). This is considered equipped by their own effect. Once per turn, when your opponent declares an attack, you may discard 1 DARK machine-type monster from your Hand to the Graveyard and flip a coin. If Heads, negate that battle. If Tails, return 1 face-up DARK machine-type monster on your side of the field to your Hand. If this card would be removed from the field by an opponent's card effect, flip a coin. If Heads, this card is not removed. If Tails, return all cards on your side of the field to their owner's hands (including this card).

 

Showdown Saloon

[spell/Continuous]

Whenever a card effect that involves tossing a coin resolves, activate one of the following effects depending on the outcome of the coin toss-

-More Heads than Tails: Your opponent must randomly discard a card from their hand.

-More Tails than Heads: You must randomly discard a card from your hand.

-Equal Heads and Tails: Both players draw a card.

 

Pistol Trick

[spell/Normal]

Remove from play 1 DARK Machine-type monster from your Graveyard. Special Summon a "Pistol Dragon" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. You cannot activate the effect of a "Pistol Dragon" Special Summoned by this effect until your next turn. If a "Pistol Dragon" Special Summoned by this effect leaves the field before your next Standby Phase, randomly discard 1 card from your opponent's hand.

 

Single-Barrel Surprise

[spell/Normal]

Activate only if there is a "Blowback Dragon" in your Graveyard. Destroy one card on the field and flip a coin. If the result is Tails, remove from play 1 "Blowback Dragon" from your Graveyard.

 

Roulette Spin

[spell/Normal]

Discard any amount of DARK Machine-Type monsters from your hand, and toss a coin for every monster discarded in this way. Destroy cards on the field equal to the amount of Heads results, and randomly discard 1 card from the opponent's hand for every Tails result.

 

Triple-Barrel Surprise

[Trap/Normal]

Activate only if there is a "Barrel Dragon" in your Graveyard and your opponent declares an attack. Destroy all face-up monsters on the opponent's side of the field and flip a coin. If the result is Tails, remove from play 1 "Barrel Dragon" from your Graveyard.

 

Ammunition Load

[Trap/Normal]

Discard a DARK Machine-Type monster with "Dragon" in its name from your Hand. Toss a coin. If Heads, Draw 2 cards. If Tails, destroy one card on the field and draw 1 card.

 

Luxa Charity

[Trap/Counter]

Activate when a DARK Machine-type monster with "Dragon" in its name is removed from the field. Discard 1 card from your hand with "Luxa" in the name, OR remove from play 1 card with Luxa in the name from your Graveyard. Special Summon 1 DARK Machine-Type monster with "Dragon" in its name from your Deck in face-up attack position. It cannot activate its effect until your End Phase.

Pistol Dragon

Dark; Level 2

[Machine/Effect]

Once per turn, you can toss 2 coins. If the result is 2 Heads, your opponent must remove from play one card in their hand. If the result is 1 Head 1 Tails, you may add 1 "Pistol Dragon" from your Graveyard or Deck to your hand. If the result is 2 Tails, destroy this card and draw 1 card.

Luxa Warbond Dragon

Dark; Level 3

[Machine/Effect]

You can discard this card to the Graveyard to activate one of the following effects-

-add 1 "Lutte - Desert of the Luxa" from your Deck to the hand.

-Send from your side of the field to the Graveyard, or select from your Graveyard, DARK Machine-type Fusion Material Monsters that are listed on a DARK Machine-Type Fusion Monster Card and Special Summon that 1 Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon).

You can add this card from your Graveyard to your Hand during your Standby Phase if you have at least 1 monster with "Luxa" in its name face-up on the field.

Bandito Dragon

Dark; Level 4

[Machine/Effect]

Once per turn, you can toss a coin up to 3 times. For every Heads result, increase the ATK of this card by 300. For every Tails result, decrease the ATK of this card by 300. If you get at least 2 Heads results with this effect, randomly discard 2 cards from your opponent's hand. You may treat this card's name as "Blowback Dragon" while it is in your Graveyard.

Shotgun Dragon

Dark; Level 4

[Machine/Effect]

Once per turn, yo can toss a coin. If the result is Heads, remove from play 1 card on the opponent's side of the field. If the result is tails, search your Deck for a DARK Machine-Type monster and send it to the Grave; If you cannot, destroy all monsters on your side of the field.

Revolver Dragon

Dark; Level 5

[Machine/Effect]

You may Special Summon this card from your Hand if there is a monster on the opponent's side of the field, and there is a face-up DARK Machine-type monster on your side of the field. Once per turn, you can toss a coin up to 3 times. For every Heads result, destroy a Spell or Trap card on the field. For every Tails Result, discard one card from your Hand. You may treat this card's name as "Barrel Dragon" while it is in your Graveyard.

Akimbo Barrel Dragon

Dark; Level 8

[Machine/Effect]

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 2 DARK Machine-type monsters and 1 monster with "Luxa" in its name from your Graveyard. This card cannot activate its effect or declare an attack the turn it is Summoned. You can remove DARK machine-type monsters from your Graveyard to destroy an equal amount of cards on the field.

If this card is destroyed while it is equipped to another monster, draw 1 card for every DARK machine-Type monster in your Graveyard with a different name.

you can equip it to a Level 5 or higher DARK Machine-Type monster on your side of the field as an Equip Card, OR unequip the Union equipment and Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. This card cannot be sent to the Graveyard while it is equipped to a monster if the effect of a monster this card is equipped to by this card effect requires a coin toss, you can negate the effects of that card and redo the coin toss twice per turn. Once per turn, you may remove from play 1 DARK Machine-type monster in your Graveyard to add 1 "Luxa" monster from your Graveyard or Deck to your hand. A monster equipped with this card is not affected by opponent's card effects during the controller of this card's turn.

Sherif Dragon

"Pistol Dragon" + "Bandito Dragon"

Once per turn, you can toss a coin up to 3 times. If the result is 3 Heads, destroy 1 card on the field, tribute this face-up monster and Special Summon a "Gatling Dragon" from your Fusion Deck to the field in face-up attack position. If the result is 2 Heads 1 Tails or 1 Heads 2 Tails, destroy 1 card on the field and discard 2 cards at random from your opponent's hand. If the result is 3 tails, destroy 1 card on the field, destroy this card and add 2 DARK Machine-Type monsters from your Graveyard to your hand.

Rifleshot Dragon

"Shotgun Dragon" + "Revolver Dragon"

Discard a card from your hand to toss a coin. If heads, destroy a card for every DARK Machine-type monster in your Graveyard with a differant name (you can only destroy up to 3 cards with this effect). If tails, search your Deck for a DARK

Machine-type monster and send it to the Graveyard, then randomly discard 1 card from your opponent's hand OR tribute this face-up card to Special Summon, from your Graveyard, a "Shotgun Dragon" and "Revolver Dragon" to the field in face-up

attack position.

Giga Weapon Dragon - Luxa Warmech

Dark; Level 9

[Machine/Fusion/Effect]

"Gatling Dragon" + "Akimbo Barrel Dragon"

This card can only be Fusion Summoned by sending the above fusion-material monsters from your side of the field to the Graveyard by removing a "Luxa Warbond Dragon" in your Graveyard from play (You do not use Polymerization). When this card is Fusion Summoned to the field, you may add 1 card with "Luxa" in its name from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Once per turn, you may flip a coin. If heads, destroy all Monsters OR all Spell and Trap cards on the opponent's side of the field. If tails, remove this card from play and Special Summon a "Barrel Dragon" and "Blowback Dragon" from your Graveyard to the field.

Very Cyberdark-ish, DARK Machines equipping an unrelated Type of card? Srsly not the same.

Well, at least you did it 100x better than Konami - a good start was choosing one of my favourite cards, Blowback Dragon, to build this around.

 

The field's pretty much needed to run the Luxa - taking a Normal Summon is the reason Unions are generally thought of as bad. I'd love to see some cards that allow Luxa more swarm.
