Its just ours. Free will cannot be controled. Its automatic.

But how can their be Free Will? What makes us have it?

That is not true. That restricts us very little. It only prevents there form being an equality in all matter. The laws for physics have no impact on free will.

It doesn't restrict us' date=' but the laws of Physics and Chemistry make free will impossible to happen.

Since when has there been free will?

Since some Christians believe God preplanned out all of our lives we never did have free will.

There has been the idea of free will.

Speaking for fellow Christians we are all given Free Will. Other wise Jesus would of told us how our lifes end.

Not I. But I am taking Psychology and know alot about philosophy. Free will is given us by god. I don't feel ike quoting scripture though, I'm too lazy.

I could counter this in a debate, which is where I'll move this topic in a second, but keep religion out of this as much as possible. We have a thread for that.

Okay, but that doesn't help your argument.

Let me rephrase my question:

Since there are Chemical and Physical Laws, and everything is governed by this, including our bodies...then how can their be free will?

Is it a question without an answer? Is it just an illusion...or is their actually free will?

If there is free will, what makes it free?

You best be trollin.

Enslavement =/= concept of free will. Even when enslaved, a slave can technically have "free will" (he does not have to do what the master says, if he is willing to face the consequence for it).

You read my statement, and it evoked some sort of chemical response in your mind, which caused you to hit the reply button and type a reply, because past experience has taught you that's how you can communicate with someone on this forum.
