Of course puberty deals with age as well as what the body absorbs. We are talking about the intellectual maturity. There are mental changes associated with puberty too. And intelligence =/= maturity. Kitty
Stupid it is based on actions. You can be ignorant and still be Mature. In fact everyone is ignorant to something. True. Maturity varies between humans, we can all agree right. And Maturity itself is based on, what, intelligence, and/or how the house hold is/was. So basically Maturity is a learned skill, not a natural one. (This is for Icy) And FYI i interpret nothing literally. Internal Maturity is controlable yet can be hidden. Physical Maturity is noticable yet can't be controled. I agree with who ever said, someone can be smart and still immature.

.Lost
Imo, it depends on two things. Genes, and enviroment. Gene's could predict when you will experience puberty, when you will mature, when you will have physical changes, etc.But the enviroment is the thing that will influence it so greatly that it can totally change your attitude against one thing to another. The people you hang out with, the people you talk to and learn from all influence your attitude towards life and it's people. If your parent's were both really easygoing and kind people, you may tend to be pretty harsh and strict because you find that your friends are getting better grades because their parent's teach them or give them tutors or something. I've been noticing that around my enviroment at the moment more and more people are tending to become strict and disgusting tbh, and imo its because most of the people i know go to a private school, and they tend to be pretty "high standard" people.my2cents? Father Wolf
Yes women physically mature faster than men by 1 or 2 years. Reason so they can quickly bare children of older men. Mental Maturity, is up to the person, and to the observer. What one thinks is immature could be mature to others.

Marisa Kirisame-ze
I matured pretty young, I guess. At age 11 I completely changed, while my friends were still pretty immature. Because of this, I gained the title "Most Trusted" and "Most Changed Since Elementary" in our school's yearbook. Girls mature before guys, obviously. At least on the internet. Girls don't mature before Boys mentally, it all depends on the up-bringing and the events that surround it.
fategazer
Some people say that young women are usually 2 to 3 years more mature than young men. Do you agree? I would not say that' date=' because it all depends on how the person(s) were taught while they were growing up.To say that men or women act more mature based on age, is preposterous. Maturity isn't gained from birth, it is gained from knowledge and understanding.[/quote'] I agree 75% on this. Maturity mostly based on how the person(s) is/were taught while they were growing up. KurashiDragon
I can agree with the OP. The thing about maturity is that it does varie in a sense of physical and mental stimulus. I grew up on video games so I have the mind of a 10 year old. My ma always has that serious demenior about her. She grew up working and not playing so she matured pretty quickly. Same can be said about My eldest sister. Heck even my youngest sister is more mature than me. I can think of quite a few others as well. It's all just a matter of how you live your life.
