Is physician-assisted suicide an option in your country? Do you think that it should be?

For many years I have thought about this, for and against. Finally what I have come down to, is that if the person wishes for a long pain burdened death to end faster then what their doctors have given them. Then yes, they should be able to have their Physicians Assist them. It is their right, it is their life, besides this way there won't be any scare of having them just "OFF" themselves.

But keep this in mind, this coming from someone who thinks suicide is just plan stupid. If your in so much pain, and you know that the pain will never go away as long as you live you should have the right to end that pain without getting addicted to pain killers.

@bolded: No, it isn't.

My uncle is a drunk, and he wanted to commit suicide once. Twas quite scary. Meh, if you actually want to die, commit suicide without some doctor/physician. If anything, they'd try to stop you.

Their in pain, emense pain. Psychological status has nothing to do with it. It is their decision, a law should not stop your own choice for your life.

Even people with schizophrenia?

That doesn't effect the pain sensors.
