What do you mean by Humans are Humans. I don't really know what it has to do with the topic.

How do you not understand.

Humans are humans.

And to the world' date=' they are still considered [i']HUMANS[/i]. Nothing more, nothing less.

You are definitely not Open Minded.

I'm gonna guess here and say you Athiest.

If I guessed correctly let me say this. My question has nothing to do with what the world thinks of you it has to do with how people think humans affect the worlds enviorment and how they understand. You aren't really open minded.

What are humans? Hmmmm....quite the question, there.

Humans are a multi celled mammals, and are technically an animal. What makes it hard to believe that humans are animals is that we are more complex, intelligent, and advanced.

Same with the exact topic. A lot of humans believe that it doesn't matter if we destroy the world around us, because we have come so far, and we take for granted our existance. We believe that we will never cease(sp?), which I can't blame them. It's hard to believe, in my opinion, that human life would completely cease.

Humans have flaws. But it's worth it for how far we can go if we put our minds to it. If everybody would take the time to use the minds they were given, we could advance technology and perhaps find a way to make the planet never cease.

It doesn't matter what really happens to planet. It's already funked up enough as it is.

It's what is around us. Like, if something were to happen to our atmosphere, or the sun suddenly goes out, (lolas if) what can we do to stop that?

There's nothing we can do about that simply because its a natural occurance completely out of our control as of right now. The thing is though we are the cause for the planet being in this current state of condition and that's why I can agree with what smith said in the matrix.

At our current state we can.........maybe we could.......perhaps if we........what about the......

We couldn't do crap. But, if we can use the minds we were given, we could possibly improve our technology and prepare for these situations.

Now that sounds more reasonable.

Hopefully the future will be what it is pictured as in movies. Like Meet The Robinsons. And even if we couldn't stop these occurrences, if we try, at least we can go out knowing we were never capable of such heights.

That is what humans are for. To be the intelligance to keep this planet alive. If we can make flying cars, teleporter stations, and giant robots that dance like crazy, than why can't we keep our planet alive?

Humans are meant to use their intellegance to help each other, our environment, and our abilities.

We all know no one uses their intelligence for that. They use it for satisfying their owns needs. Not the needs of other people. Much less the planet.

"If only people could read minds. This world would be a much better place." is the thought that came to mind when I saw this post.

Think of what we could do if just SOMEONE would be selfless, though. That is our greatest challenge. Humans can do great things, and become great themselves, but we aren't going to get it easy.

Challenge #1: Our flaws

Our flaws are our biggest.... owait.

Sometimes we're too selfish to even realize them and just act like everything is going to be fine, when it isn't.

And we all know we can do great things. And many of us have. Like everyone that was alive before 1950.

But since all of that great stuff has been done, the human race has become lazy.

I really wouldn't say lazy so much as I would say stupid.

Actually the main reason for the 1950 was because of the wars during that Era. The cold war was the worst and the best at the same time. If it wasn't for the Cold war we wouldn't have nearly as advanced technology as we do now.

humans are probably:

1) the third best invention in the world

2) the worst invention in the world

3) mere mortals

4) idiots

5) ditto

6) i cba to list them all

I'd have to agree with #3. As mere mortals its 100% possible to make mistakes like this. #1 is a little wierd to me. What would the 2nd and 1st be? #2 I don't believe that. If we were the worst invention in the world this world would probly already be destroyed. #4 is not so simply because if we were idiots we never would've come this far in the first place. #5 I don't even understand. Same with #6.

A while ago I considered posting in this thread saying "We are the Gods of this world."- has anything like that been said yet? :P

No and I honostly cannot agree with that. We were made on this world one way or another and we could've just as easily been at the bottom of the food chain. To say "We are the gods of this world" is a rash and underthought statement at its best. Of course that's just my opinion.

Naturally, I assumed a reply like this. However, consider this: one nuclear war between humans and this Earth could be destroyed. We're the ones in control here.

Hmm... interesting. To say though that we have complete control of this world as a species is a good statement in the respect that we can destroy it. But to say its a godly power is still underthought. We don't have complete control otherwise we would destroy the world without killing ourselves in the process. For now this world still has a grip over us and we have to respect that.

You're an interesting member that I've never seen before. :P I like that, someone challenging me is something I enjoy.

It's true that calling us 'Godly' is an overstatement, or ignorant at least. However, what do we consider a 'God'? It varies between people. Myself, I consider a God someone that's in control of this world. While we may not be in control, and there's a chance that we're all pawns in someone else's world- the fact remains that we can (for the most part) do whatever the hell we please in this world as long as it doesn't defy Science and we have the right amount of power. If he wanted to, Barrack Obama would be able to change the USA's flag to a pig and they'd still be the most feared country in the world. That's a display of power, and I consider it god-like.
