because most kids know more about computers then there parents these days and would be as easy as ass to make a new administrator account' date=' disable those security settings and deleate it and keep it that way... amirite?

Lol, but is the internet a real problem for parents? If yes, explain why it is.

If they tell it to them in a way that they understand then yes. Start simple and work your way up. It's a successful way of doing most of the things you do in life.

Yes' date=' but what about when they start going to school and interacting with their friends and start to realize that the world isn't as bad as their parents say it is?

[/quote']

After that the only thing you can do is trust that what you say sinks in and they try to avoid the things you tell them to. I'm one example of this. My father was a drunken abuser and I could've easily learned from him but my mother told me otherwise and now I'm completely clean of every drug on the planet, I'm a pasifist, and overall I've had a good start to the world.

Well that's good to hear Kurashi.

Thnk you. In response to that though I'm a video game player who's a lota lazy and bitterly quiet. Ya always gotta look at the negatives and try to push your child away from it. Sometimes it doesn't work but be persistint without being overly protective and negging your child at everything they do. I know its not as easy as it sounds but I think its one of the best ways to take care of your child.

It may perhaps be one of the best ways. We'll just have to wait and see.

The biggest problem a parent ever has to deal with is having children.

That's a different way of looking at it. But that would make the Parent's selfish if they think that their biggest problem is children.

Mind explaining your thought more clearly?

The Economy' date=' for one.

Parents sometimes do give up.

I have a friend, and his parents work at Wegmans constantly, and have no time to care for their house.

This is all because of: The Economy.

(PS: 900th Post)

The Economy, which relates to money. Correct? I mean if they had the money they wouldn't need to work so hard, correct? Gotta learn to take your responses deeper. ;)

Nowadays parents are either overprotective or not protective at all.

My mom gets all weird when I don't want to show her my drawings or my lyrics because I don't want to accept her critisicm that I should be more like the Jonas Brothers (brr...) and less like Marilyn Manson. I HATE the Jobros.

My parents did similar things with my art work, but they didn't criticize it they did that "Motherly Love" thing. I eventually stopped art because I didn't feel my art was up to standards because my parents never seemed truly interested in my development.

Stop being so damn philosophical! This is a children's forum!

But, anyway, they probably worry about there child's health and safety mostly, and they are most likely trying to raise a child in a way that ensures success and a safe environment, and that in itself is a challenge.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T

Some children are defiant and sullen, because they WANT what they WANT, and if they don't GET IT, they are either gonna get into trouble, or take it anyway. Theories:

As toddlers, parents give up and cave in to their children instead of being a parent and saying no.

The media. They see people doing plenty of things on TV, and they want to do it. (Not really leaning towards this one)

Maybe I'll think of more later.

I say the primary, PRIMARY word before respect is EDUCATION. Parents are the authority. They must not be too soft (Kids-as-Kings is something I hate a lot), but not too harsh either (Getsapo-parents are the worst and most spineless monsters ever created. Give me that Godwin Point now). It's why having kids must be a real responsibility. Too many times, "parents" of the first kind make them like they'd choose a new car without realizing all consequences. And too many times, "parents" of the second kind just get kids for the child benefit.

Lol just because it's a child's forum doesn't mean I can't be philosophical. But thanks for the input.

Not so much that the child is a problem in that sense, but the stress of having to raise one, the inherent selfishness a child has, and the teen years. Especially the teen years. Teenagers often have a hard time realizing just how much their parents do for them, and often lash out and say some pretty hurtful things. I know I've said some things to my parents that were completely uncalled for, and definitely hurtful. And the parents (should) love the child, so such things coming from them is especially hurtful. Especially when one considers the amount of resources and time that are invested into child rearing.

The fact that you can recall that and put it into an impressive response makes me think that your "trolling" is just a cover up. Either way, your response was to the point and actually quite enlightening, thank you for your participation.
