100 years have passed since Avatar Aang's legendary exploits, most notably of which was defeating the Phoenix King. The world entered a time of peace for 100 years. In that time, a new type of bending was developed. Darkbending. The few group of people who can bend darkness to their will are as strong as maybe the avatar. They have waged a war on the peaceful nations, and their plan is still unknown, for the most part. Some think they are just trying to take over the world like the Fire Nation 100 years before.
