I'm waiting on Altair's interview and GFX Review... I don't think I'm going to get it at this rate though. >_>

If I post it' date=' it'll be rather lacking. :/

[/quote']

Get in touch with both people so that they are ready. That way it will go faster.

I'm tired of waiting for the issue to come out D:

So it comes out today' date=' eh?

Can't wait.

[/quote']

Where's ep. 1?

Altair obviously can't be relied on to get anything in. And in all honesty, I don't know if I can be bothered with this anymore. If I do go on with it, I'll have to do it all myself. Plus, my site's up now and that takes priority over this. Damn, I was definitely going to get over 5 episodes. >_>

In fact, I don't have time to be dealing with YCM at all now that SAW's up. I dunno if you guys have realised I haven't been on for the last few days at all- I don't want to be spending time on YCM that could be on my site.

Someone can feel free to take over this if they wish. Just please try and respect it's state and keep it similar to before.
Episode 1:

-Intro-

*Interview with Haris* (he went offline half-way through and never bothered to finish it)

GFX Review. (Altair didn't get in)

*Interview with Death Metal* (Altair didn't get in)

Song of the Week. (I was awaiting everyone else's stuff first)

CeDeFiA: Where did you first find out about YCM?

OMGAKITTY: I was surfing deviantart, and came across this guy who had a bunch of yugioh cards on his account. Being the naive child I was, I assumed he had made all of them in PS, and was really impressed. However, one of the comments on one of his cards linked me to YCM. And then that guy got banned.

CeDeFiA: Do you think joining YCM was a good or bad decision?

OMGAKITTY: Maybe if I were 10 years younger than I am, it would have been cool. As is, I'm just waiting to leave.

CeDeFiA: Leave? Wouldn't you miss your beloved Mia?

OMGAKITTY: Lol. Until she finally posts some pics, I have no proof she doesn't have a penis. I'll pass.

CeDeFiA: Facebook or Myspace?

OMGAKITTY: Facebook. Less softcore porn stars.

CeDeFiA: If you could ban three members on YCM, who would they be?

OMGAKITTY: Aw, that's so hard. Can't I just delete the site?

CeDeFiA: No. Your not capable of it. NAO ANSWER!

OMGAKITTY: I am so capable of it. Fine, Kitty Princess, Hunter, and Icy are the first that come to mind.

CeDeFiA: I'm curious, are you happening to be watching porn while we are doing this interview?

OMGAKITTY: Not at all.

CeDeFiA: Have you ever tried to troll people in your real life?

OMGAKITTY: Eh. Probably.

CeDeFiA: On the site, what would you say would be your best quality?

OMGAKITTY: Having an IQ of over 48. Although that's a bannable offense, I hear.

CeDeFiA: Thank you for taking the time out of your so-called busy life to have this interview! Any last words?

OMGAKITTY: If God gives you lemons, YOU FIND A NEW GOD.

Advert. (same here)

Sam: And up next, we have an interview with someone who's a Rising Star on YCM, Griffin! Hi Griffin, and before we start, do you have anything you want to share with us?

-Griffin: I just noticed that I've done something rather impressive.

Sam: Oh?

-Griffin: I have probably memorized 90% of Yugioh card, not including normal monsters. That's 7 or so different statistics, including a rather long effect, for what's probably over 3000 cards. I know that a lot of player's have, but in perspective, that's like being able to write most of Shakespeare from memory.

Sam: You know every Card's name, or every Card's effect?

-Griffin: the effect of most cards, as well as ATK, type, attribute, level, name and DEF a lot of the time

Sam: Umm... wow. o.O

-Griffin: It's what I get for playing it so much. I regularly scroll through databases of the cards to find ones to add to a Deck. Gets stuck to my brain

Sam:

Wow, that's pretty impressive in my opinion. On an unrelated note, how are you today?

-Griffin:

I'm pretty good today, managed to get some stuff out of the way this morning that were being a pain

Sam:

That's good to hear, glad you're doing well. =]

-Griffin:

And yourself?

Sam:

Me? I'm feeling pretty well, despite not going to town today with my mates 'cause of a mix-up. D:

This is the first episode of the Official YCM Talk Show. How do you feel about being on the first episode, and what are your opinions on the show thus far?

-Griffin:

I haven't been an active member of YCM for that long, definately not in the General section, so I'd never seen the previous incarnations of the show. From what I can gather from talking to you and reading the topic, though, it appears to be a well-recived event on YCM and I'm glad that I can be in this first episode of the new version.

Sam:

That's nice to hear, thanks for the positive input. :) And I'm glad you could be on the show.

Sam: What's your opinion on the Advanced Clause? :P

-Griffin: I wouldn't join a Basic RP, personally. I think that people should be allowed to make all-OOC or very short posts if the time calls, but I find that the quality of most basic RPs are too low to enjoy

-Griffin: Although not on YCM, I'm an avid RPer,. and I do like to make a difference between the type of RPing typical to a basic RP and that of an advanced RP

An advanced RP typically has longer, and more detailed posts. This tends to read more like a book you could buy in a store and is generally a better experience to read and look over, I find this rewarding. A basic RP, on the other hand, is often just someone pointing out what is done by there character, almost like just writing out a plot line. It's not as in-depth, but it can be fun as a "spur of the moment" thing, I sometimes enjoy RP like that over MSN, although I prefer the more thought-out variant for forums, to give me something to look back on or even re-write as a sort of novel.

-Griffin: Although, as I said, that's only taking a typical RP of each type, like the English language, there is always exceptions

Sam: Nice. :D I got the Advanced Clause created and I'm glad I've met someone that appreciated it.

-Griffin: I think that it's much better with the tag system though. If the clause was forced for all RPs then it ends up with people who aren't great RPers inflating their posts needlessly without adding relevant detail. I'm glad that the people who aren't as interested in writing something more interesting, and just want something fun, still have their options.

Sam: Thanks for the input. :) I'm just glad there's no more "DEMOTE UMBRA" sigs.

You're pretty active in the TCG/Your Deck sections. Who would you say is the best Duelist on YCM and/or best Deck creator?

-Griffin: Either of those would be very tricky to define. What it takes to make a good Deck of one type can be very different to another. A lot of the Decks on there are effective but are also rather generic and close to Decks that have one recent tournaments. I personally give more respect to the people that post Decks that are more origional or interesting, even if they might not perform as well.

"Best Duelist" is also a bit tricky, since I don't believe I've dueled anyone from YCM before. Some people on there clearly know their rulings well, which could be a factor. Again, some people there will only rate a card on if it's going to be useful at a highly competitive level, while others will just talk about how a card is fun, or playable in a casual setting, so there's no extreme best or worst you can really give.

Sam: It's good to here a detailed response from someone that frequents those sections, I'm sure most people who read this wouldn't have known much of that. I'm happy we got your opinion on that. =]

You also post a lot in the Written Cards section. Do you think there's anyone that 'reigns supreme' there, and why do you choose to create Written Cards instead of Cards with the Card Maker?

-Griffin: For the first question, since I've joined the main "active" member of Written Cards have really only been myself, Darkdust Dragon Genma no Ou (name change) and Bringer of Cake, although I've been glad to see Barragan Luisenbarn taking an active roll in posting in the section. It's a small community there, but we tend to post in each other's threads pretty reliably and are active enough to keep the place going.

For the second question, there are various reasons. the first reason and the one that drove me there is practicality. Any more than around ten images hosted on imageshack will crash my browser for some reason if viewed on the same page, so looking at the images as most people post them is impossible, I know Darkd Genma suffers from similar problems, since he's stuck with dial-up. But since then, I've got a faster connection and a better computer, so I can view most threads in Custom Cards without crashing. However, I've found that the Written Cards section is a lot more interesting to me. For one, the comments tend to be more helpful, suggesting how to improve the cards rather than just giving a rating out of ten which I see a lot in other sections. The suggestions are also more relevant to my interests, people will give ideas on how to balance your cards and how to improve the wording, which would make them more fit for play, rather than commenting on the images which is very common in other sections and I find doesn't actually change how a card works.

Don't get me wrong here, I still believe that it's important for cards to be interesting. Even if I liked the effects, it's unlikely that I would play a set in real life if the images were all blank and the names were literally, "archtype monster A," "archtype monster B" and so on. However, I find that having interesting names is often good enough to visualise something about the card, and let's people focus more on the playability. It's also usually quicker to make cards there, easier to edit them and it takes no extra time to load the page, so I like the whole feel of the section. If were ever to make realistic cards, I would at least use the Written Card section before adding the image because of the help that I normally find there being so useful.

Sam: Wow. A pretty lengthy response there, wasn't expecting such a huge response. Thanks for the opinion on that, it's appreciated. :)

Last question to wrap this interview up: Was there a reason you joined YCM, and do you regret doing so for any reason?

-Griffin: I joined a long time ago, before leaving again for no real reason after only a few posts. Probably because I just wanted feedback on some cards I'd made. And I very much regret joining, because even though I enjoy it, I'm always looking back on the amount of time I've spent here when I could have been working on some of the game's I like to create in my spare time.

Sam: I partially agree. I regret joining, but not because I could create games, but because it's time I could've spent doing something better. Anyway, that wraps it up for today. I hope you enjoyed your time on the show, see ya Griffin!

-Griffin: Good day, nice to see you and I'm glad I got the chance to talk to you.

Card Review. (I was looking for some help on this as I don't make Cards, but I didn't even get that.)
Episode 2:

-Intro-

Brushfire: Hi Akira, welcome to the show. How are you feeling today?

Akira: Rather peachy good sir and yourself?

Brushfire: I'm pretty good thanks. Why are you feeling peachy?

Akira: I'm in the middle of half term, sitting in my room and chilling with my laptop, burning some incense. No reason not to feel peachy =)

Brushfire: There's no-where near me that sells that incense. D:

I kind of envy your relaxed mood. =]

Akira: Really? I just get it from an Indian stall at the market in town.. once saw it for sale in Budgens though. Well, whether things are troubling me or not, I tend to not let them get in the way of me having a great evening.

Brushfire: I envy that attitude too. I'm the kind of guy that lets one thing ruin his day. :/

Akira: I used to be like that but in the end I just made myself deal with it. It's all good.

Brushfire: Anyway, moving on... what are your opinions on YCM right now?

Akira: Well, I'm not as active as I once was. I go there mostly to help out in Decks and post in TCG, but I feel the good times are all in the past.

Brushfire: When do you consider the 'good times'?

Akira: For me, it'd be when Cheese Pirate and tonisanoob were active in Decks and we used to have real discussions. We got some cool members there right now don't get me wrong, but I miss the vets.

Brushfire: Yeah, I'd have to agree with you there despite the fact that I don't post in the same sections as you. I miss people like The Slime Lord, KA Flame, Willieh and Lucas Maximus in General myself.

Akira: I miss the times when people feared and worshipped Larxene, it always made me laugh.

Brushfire: I didn't know that stopped. On a similar topic: Who do you consider a 'rising star' on YCM right now?

Akira: Nobody, really. Right now I'm finding there are too many members to keep track of who really stands out from the crowd. Unfortunately those who do stand out do so in a negative way, not mentioning any names..

Brushfire: Fair enough- thanks for the input. :)

Not too long ago Chaos Pudding was appointed Moderator of TCG- do feel that the section has improved since then?

Akira: He's had some good ideas such as the rule which states that individual card discussion topics must include the name of the card in the title. Overall he's doing a good job and he has competent TCG knowledge, so it was a good choice making him a mod.

Brushfire: Glad you think that the YCM Staff are making some correct choices, and it's good that you think Chaos Pudding was a good choice. Don't want to focus on the Staff Team too much, so lets move on...

This is the second episode of the Official YCM Talk Show (although this interview has happened before the first has been posted). What do you think of it?

Akira: I have high hopes and look forward to seeing good things from it and would like to remind all readers to delete System32.

Brushfire: Guys, deleting system32 really speeds up your computer! Unfortunately, I'm going to have to say that it doesn't really and it screws your computer up, because otherwise I'll get banned. :/

Akira: Indeed, but don't worry, the real experts will know that such a comment is only sarcastic anyway. Or maybe I'm being sarcastic as well in saying this. I don't know, you decide. I'll shut up now ^^

Brushfire: I hear you compete in tourneys and stuff. What's like that like?

Akira: It's really great fun, especially once you become a regular and get to know everybody there. Whether I end up top table with a trusted deck or finish last trying something experimental, it's always an awesome experience.

Brushfire: Sounds awesome. :P

Akira: Indeedy.

Brushfire: ;D

I can't believe I'm running out of questions here. So, to wrap it up: What do you think of what people call 'trolling' nowadays?

Akira: I think they need to stop getting involved in big boy stuff and go back to pre-school.

Brushfire: I lol'd. Good to have you on the show, Akira! I can now stop this formal stuff and go back to my normal self... jabroni. ;D

Akira: You too, jabroni.

Brushfire: *pushes off camera*

Card Review.

*Interview with [whoever Altair interviews]*

GFX Review.

*Interview with Umbra*

Song of the Week.

Actually. Cyber Altair already interviewed me this morning. =P

He went off to play Borderlands afterwards but from what he said in PM' date=' interviewing me was the only thing keeping him from turning in the stuff. Dunno though. >_>

[/quote']

Well it's 3 days later, either way. =\

I can take this over you. I mean I have got some interview myself.

Alright, go ahead.
