BanishedZaber
Just finished watching Romeo x Juliet (an anime based off the iconic work of Shakespeare) and saw a lot of card potential. It'll be a while until the set is done, but here's a start. [spoiler=Explanation]The premise of the set is to eventually have two sets of cards, Capulets and Montagues. Cards in each set support each other, and some get additional benefits if the other player is using cards from the opposite side. Each "character" has several incarnations that can be "shifted to" by tributing an existing monster. For example, if you have any card with "Tybalt" in it's name (including an advanced form), you can tribute it to special summon any other form of "Tybalt". It will make more sense once the set is done. [spoiler=Monsters][spoiler="Capulet - Tybalt of the Black Dragonsteed]Level 8 - Dark - 2800 ATK - 2000 DEFWarrior/EffectYou can special summon this card from your hand by tributing a card with "Tybalt" in it's name. This card gains 200 ATK points for each "Capulet" monster on your side of the field. If this card is destroyed as a result of battle, destroy the opponent's monster. [spoiler=Capulet - Francisco of the Dragonsteed]Level 6 - Wind - 2400 ATK - 1800 DEFWarrior/EffectYou can special summon this card from your hand by tributing a card with "Francisco" in it's name. This card gains 200 ATK points for each "Capulet" monster on your side of the field. When this monster attacks, you may change the battle position of the target monster to defense mode. [spoiler=Capulet Retainer - Curio]Level 4 - Earth - 1800 ATK - 1600 DEFWarriorA retainer of the House Capulet. Even unarmed he is a fearsome fighter. [spoiler=Spell Cards][spoiler=Banner of the Iris]Continuous Spell CardOnce per turn, if you control no monsters, you can special summon a monster with "Capulet" in it's name from your hand. [spoiler=Neo-Verona - Twilight District]Field SpellAll monsters on the field lose 100 ATK and DEF points x the number of face-down spell or trap cards on the field. If a player controls three or more face-down spell or trap cards, they cannot be attacked directly. Any fans of Romeo x Juliet here? Anyone have any ideas or feedback on this project? Let me know! Exa Raiun
It's kind of funny, but I just started watching the series. XD Seriously, the base concept is curious. It makes me wonder how it will work. But now, for the cards: Capulet - Tybalt of the Black Dragonsteed : Depends on how easy to get a "Tybalt" monster, it can be a fearful opponent. A beatstick which brings the opponent monster with itself when destroyed by battle... 8/10 Capulet - Francisco of the Dragonsteed : Level 6, 2400 ATK, and a nifty effect. A beatstick which can take down other beatsticks easily if used properly. I can so use its usefulness, even outside its Deck (as you can still Tribute Summon it the normal way, if needed)! 9/10 Capulet Retainer - Curio: Will judge later, when it will have its other versions. Banner of the Iris: It's like "Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen", but for "Capulet" cards. Nothing more to say here. 7/10 Neo-Verona - Twilight District: Kind of a two-sided edge, and requires lots of Spell and Trap Cards to work properly. Do you plan to add a card whose ATK and DEF cannot be decreased? It would work so well with this card. Situational, but interesting idea. 7/
