I'm Colin *French name no one can say*. It kinda annoys me that no one can say it right. I'm okay if they say it with an English or French accent, but when they combine both of them, that kinda annoys me.

 

I'm 16. A sophomore in high school. I play sousaphone in the marching band and tuba in the normal band (2nd chair out of 2 :D). I have girlfriend. She happens to play flute in the marching band. We have a pretty pure relationship, unlike some other people I know. I live a few streets away from HORUS. We've known eachother since about 1994ish. I got my Learner's Permit about a month ago, so I'm learning how to drive. Its harder than it seems. At first, 10-15 mph seemed so fast (15 is still pretty fast), but I've been driving on a not very busy streets, so I was getting into the 30s (scared the carp out of me :shock:)

 

I've been a fan of Yugioh for about 5 years. I was intoduced to it when I was in 5th grade (I was 11) when I saw some kids playing it during recess. I thought it looked stupid (I was so wrong), but decided to learn how to play anyway. I actually caught on pretty quickly.

 

When I'm not doing anything Yugioh related (which is most of the time other than this forum :P), I'm usually sleeping, playing DDR or some other game, mainly entries in the Tales Series. Before the Tales Series, I used to be hardcore Final Fantasy Fan (I still kinda am). I original started playing Tales games to make the wait for Final Fantasy XIII (which still isn't out yet. Come on Square. You announced it 2 years ago. Show us some new stuff we haven't known for the past year.) seem shorter. I'm also on other forums. Before I gave most of my attention to this site, I used to be on IGN. But I was banned from that site by a bunch of Final Fantasy Fanboys. That kinda made me lose some respect for the series. HORUS told me about this site in the beginning of 2007. I used the card maker for about a month in a half before I became a member.

 

Anyway, I think I've rambled enough.

Meh. I hope they release it sometime in 2008. They might release it in North America around the same time in Japan, so we won't have to wait an extra 6-8 months for it. And not to sound mean or anything, but if you really think about it, it won't matter how long or hard they work on it. It will automatically sell millions of copies and Square will still make tons of money because it has Final Fantasy written on it. They worked on Final Fantasy XII forever and it wasn't all that great and it still sold millions of copies.

 

On another forum I'm on, there was a discussion about Tales of the Abyss and the Final Fantasy series. Tales of the Abyss' release was completely overshowed by Final Fantasy XII's, but thats not the point. We thought if they called Tales of the Abyss, Final Fantasy XIV, it would instantly sell tons and tons of copies. It probably would. Whether or not its exepted as an entry in the Final Fantasy series is one thing (its not, so it doesn't matter :P), but its sales would be in the millions.

If it sounds like I'm bashing Final Fantasy, I'm not. Just Final Fantasy XII. And Tales of the Abyss is on the PS2. Its been out since around the time Final Fantasy XII came out (Fall of 2006). It has what the early Final Fantasies had. Great stories, music, and characters (especially the main character. His development is really important to the story). Graphics are kind of meh, but I could personally care less. Graphics are better in battle anyway. 60 frames per second and tons of flashy lights FTW! Gameplay is way different, but awesome. Its not turn based. Think of it as a fighting game + Kingdom Hearts(?). Again, I'm not bashing Final Fantasy. I personally love Final Fantasies 10, 4, 6, 7, and 8 (in that order). The only reason I love 4 is because it was the first one I ever played back on my cousin's SNES.

 

I'd say I'm getting off-topic, but I'm describing my interest in RPGs. :P
