You actually gain 1 additional card in both scenarios, the difference is your giving up 2 draw phases/2 cards for 1 if your take your opponent's card. the other option you basically gaining 1 additional card ahead of time.

 

Its most likely the option to draw 3 cards that might be more favorable, but at the same time your allowing your opponent to have any 1 single card he/she wants in their deck and that could be devastating, so it might be better to take their card to throw their strategy off.

Added a new Continuous Spell Card called the Book of the Doomed

 

It's one of the most dangerous cards I came up with in my head, so check it out and tell me what you think.

yeah fortunately you added a cost to keep it on the field since it's immune to card effects or your opponent gets to use it against you, which balances out this card nicely

so it's like a Swords of Revealing Light effect, except it only protects on direct attacks

 

it's ok of a concept, but even with Swords of Revealing Light it had a 2nd effect (via face down monsters), so this one should have one as well
