M.Hats Posted January 9, 2008 Report Share Posted January 9, 2008 Well i have to say that i think some of this set is way to powerful. Spell of the raging seas is ridiculously overpowered. Combine it with Levia-Dragon Ultimate Draedalus and you get a 4000 ATK monster which isn't affected by spell or traps. From one card you can summon this ultimate monster from your deck and your opponent isn't going to be able to do anything unless they can somehow get a 4000 ATK or higher monster or destroy your equip spell. Considering you can have 3 of these cards as well means that you can potentially get two in the same turn if you do you have a pretty good chance of hitting with a direct attack of 4000 damage. I personally don't see the huge appeal of these cards. People seem to have overlooked the balancing of the cards, opting to praise the ideas behind them and the images. In my opinion the graphics that people use on this forum aren't relevant at all to how good a card it is (unless you made the image yourself in which case i commend you) but using others art does give some indication as to the effort a person put in on them. Again when it comes to grammar I'm not to fussed as long as I can read and understand the effects it is fine by me. Though there are some mistakes and missing letters it doesn't really make it hard for me to understand what you are saying the effects are. The idea behind the cards are important to me. While your ideas are somewhat interesting there isn't anything that strikes me as heavily original. I would say that you get a thumbs up from me on this part though. Balance is very important seeing as this is the realistic cards area. I say that the majority of the cards are balanced however some aren't. I could see 1 maybe 2 cards here being forbidden. So i can't credit you on balance but you almost pass in my eyes. All in all they aren't terrible but they aren't perfect either. I wont give you a score because I don't see that as productive but i will say that there is work to be done so don't think that because a bunch of people gave you 1000/10 :S that you should think these are the best you can do. No rating by myself would be complete without a few critasisms, though, and the only real one there is would be art on some cards isn't perfect, for example, "Levia Dragon - Baby Daedalus" has wording on it, which is always undesirable, and the moon in "Levia Dragon - Cresent Moon" isn't round, and is a little fuzzy. Anyway, it's truely impossible to give a rating on the entire set without a long reviewing process, in which the averages for ever card are added together, and so on.
