Numquam Periit Amor
DISCORDIAN RESONANCE is a LIGHT and DARK-heavy set that aims to boost several under-supported archetypes. Its main focus is to make Chaos decks a viable deck type again despite the loss of the Envoys, including slightly weaker versions of the Envoys and a powerful Fusion Monster that is also a Gemini. Support for Dimension decks (and removal decks in general) comes in the form of new powerful D.D. monsters. While the Sacred Beasts are generally played separately, Discordian Resonance introduces a slew of Trap Monsters (and the first-ever Spell Monsters) that are also Fiend-Type, as well as new Fiends that work together with Trap and Spell Monsters to help Summon the Sacred Beasts with greater ease. Gemini decks also get a huge boost with powerful new Geminis and the long-awaited Field Spell which allows them to take advantage of the most powerful Normal Monster support cards while still carrying devastating effects. All images are from Nightmarian's picture archive except #000 (found on Google) and #039 (made by me). Credit for the booster template goes to ShinyBlade. [align=center][spoiler=Effect]This card is also treated as a LIGHT Fairy-Type monster while face-up, in the hand, Deck, or Graveyard, or removed from play. If a Normal Spell or Trap Card is activated, this card loses 500 ATK and DEF and you can treat that card as a Continuous card; you can activate its effect once per turn (if it was a Trap Card, you can activate its effect during either player's turn). If a Continuous Spell or Trap Card is activated, this card gains 500 ATK and DEF, and you can destroy that card during the End Phase. [spoiler=Effect]Continuous Trap Cards you control cannot be destroyed while this card is face-up. If this card is destroyed, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Trap Card instead of sending it to the Graveyard (its effect is negated). [spoiler=Effect]Continuous Spell Cards you control cannot be destroyed while this card is face-up. If this card is destroyed, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card instead of sending it to the Graveyard (its effect is negated). [spoiler=Effect]Fiend-Type monsters you control (except this card) cannot be destroyed while this card is face-up. If this card is destroyed, you can place it in face-up Defense Position instead of sending it to the Graveyard (this is not considered a Summon and its effect is negated). [spoiler=Effect]You can discard this card to force the activation of 1 Set Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. If the activation timing is not correct, destroy that card. If this card is sent from your hand to the Graveyard, add 1 Continuous Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. [spoiler=Effect]You can Tribute Summon this card at any time during either player's turn. When this card is Tribute Summoned, send cards from the top of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard equal to the total Level of the Continuous Spell or Trap Cards treated as Monster Cards that were Tributed for its Tribute Summon. [spoiler=Effect]If you Tribute a Fiend-Type monster to Tribute Summon this card, it gains ATK equal to the Tribute monster's ATK and its name is treated as the Tribute monster's name. If this card is Tributed for the Normal or Special Summon of a Fiend-Type monster, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell or Trap Card instead of sending it to the Graveyard. [spoiler=Effect]During either player's turn, you can Tribute this card to select 1 Continuous Trap Card from your Deck or Graveyard whose effect allows it to be treated as a Fiend-Type monster and activate it (ignoring activation costs or restrictions). You cannot activate this effect during the turn this card was Summoned. [spoiler=Effect]When this card is selected as an attack target, you can send it to the Graveyard to select 1 Continuous Trap Card from your hand whose effect allows it to be treated as a Fiend-Type monster and activate it (ignoring activation costs or restrictions). [spoiler=Effect]Once per turn during your opponent's turn, you can remove from play up to 3 Trap Cards from your Graveyard to have this card gain 600 DEF for each card removed from play this way until the end of your next turn. [spoiler=Effect]Remove from play 1 card in your hand and declare 1 Attribute. Destroy all face-up monsters of the declared Attribute. [spoiler=Effect]This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up or in the Graveyard. You can Normal Summon this face-up card to have it be treated as an Effect Monster; it gets the following effect:●This card can attack twice as many times during a Battle Phase. This card can be treated as 2 Tribute monsters for a Tribute or Ritual Summon. If this card is removed from the field, Special Summon 1 "Twin Token" with the same Type, Attribute, Level, ATK, and DEF as this card. [spoiler=Effect]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by returning 3 of your "D.D." monsters that are removed from play to the Graveyard. If this card attacks a face-down monster, remove from play the monster without calculating damage. If this card is removed from the field by battle or a card effect, remove from play the card that removed it from the field. [spoiler=Effect]Remove from play 1 Effect Monster in your opponent's Graveyard. Until the End Phase, this card's effect becomes the selected monster's effect. [spoiler=Effect]You can discard this card to destroy 1 monster on the field. Once per turn while this card is in your Graveyard, if a card(s) is removed from play (including this card), you can pay 500 Life Points per card to return any of the card(s) to the Graveyard. [spoiler=Effect]This card is also treated as a LIGHT monster while in the Graveyard. While you control another monster, your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. All DARK and LIGHT monsters you control gain 400 ATK. [spoiler=Effect]1 "Black Luster Soldier" monster + 1 "Chaos Emperor Dragon" monsterThis card is treated as a non-Effect Monster while face-up or in the Graveyard. You can Normal Summon it while face-up to have it be treated as an Effect Monster; it gains the effect(s) of its "Envoy" Fusion Material monster(s) and the following effect:●Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard to negate a Spell or Trap Card's activation.. [spoiler=Effect]"Phobophage" + 1 or more Continuous Spell or Trap Card(s) that are treated as non-Tuner monster(s)You can Synchro Summon this card during either player's turn. This card is unaffected by Trap Card effects. This card gains 500 ATK for each Trap Card in both players' Graveyards. [spoiler=Effect]1 LIGHT or DARK Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner LIGHT or DARK monster(s)You can use monster(s) in your Graveyard for this card's Synchro Summon by removing them from play. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 LIGHT and 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard to negate a Spell or Trap Card's activation. If a LIGHT or DARK monster that is removed from play is returned to your Graveyard, remove from play 2 cards in your Graveyard. [spoiler=Effect]After activation, Special Summon this card; it is treated as a Tuner Monster (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 4/ ATK 0/DEF 2000). (This card is still treated as a Trap Card.) This card is not destroyed by Trap Card effects. When a Trap Card is activated, this card gains 500 ATK. [spoiler=Effect]Activate when a face-up monster you control is selected as an attack target. Special Summon 1 "Reflection Token" in Attack Position with the same Type, Attribute, Level, ATK, and DEF as the attacking monster. The target monster cannot be selected as an attack target during this turn. Destroy the "Reflection Token" at the end of the Battle Phase or if the target monster is removed from the field or flipped face-down. [spoiler=Effect]Activate by rolling a six-sided die when your opponent declares an attack:●1 or 6: Destroy the attacking monster.●2 or 4: Shuffle this card into your Deck.●3 or 5: Set this card; you can activate it during the turn it was Set by its own effect. [spoiler=Effect]FLIP-Place 1 Plague Counter on 1 face-up monster (max. 1 per monster). When a monster with a Plague Counter battles a monster, or is Tributed or used as Fusion or Synchro Material for a monster's Summon, place 1 Plague Counter on that monster. During each End Phase, all monsters with Plague Counters lose 500 ATK and DEF. [spoiler=Effect]If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon it in Defense Position during your next Standby Phase. If this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, its original ATK becomes equal to its ATK when it was removed from the field +500. [spoiler=Effect]This card is not destroyed by battle. During your Standby Phase, toss a coin and roll a six-sided die. This card's Effect Type and Level are determined depending on the results:●Heads: Tuner.●Tails: non- Tuner.●1: Level 1 or 2.●2: Level 3 or 4.●3: Level 5 or 6.●4: Level 7 or 8.●5: Level 9 or 10.●6: Level 11 or 12.
