Global warming is a naturally occuring process that happens ever 80000 years.

We are just speeding it up, The earth is on a cycle 80000 of ice and then 10000 of

"Global Warming". we're about 3/4 of the way through the warming period and that is why people are like oh noes were all going to die.

Yeah, this is about it.

It's been proven that currents are getting slower because the water from melted ice is mixing with the salty sea water.

Now, I don't really remember why, but that will cause everything to freeze.

Scientists say that there is about 50% that a new Ice Age will happen in the next 100 years.

 

Also, I've read somewhere that Sun has some kind of it's cycle, the solar cycle. It lasts for 11 years and is connected with the amount of sunspots. As the cycle progresses, the number of sunspots increases. The amount of sunspots is directly connected with solar maximum and minimum. The next solar cycle begins in 2013. so the solar activity is almost at it's maximum. All in all, Earth is getting warmer because of this, as well. It's not only our fault.

The truth of the matter is that global warming is happening and the overwhelming consensus in the scientific community is that the vast majority of it is man-caused. The real debate is how said global warming is going to affect the world at large.

Global warming is like HIV. You can find out that you have it in advance with science and can thus prevent it from killing you, but if you just pretend everything is all right until the negative effects start to hit you, it will be too late and you will die.

I'm just going to say that it's real stupid for a person to think humanity can't drastically alter the earth when it is so obvious that they have already done so. At the very least, that person should notice that nuclear weapons have been around for quite some time, which should in and of itself constitute proof of mankind's destructive power.

And another reason it is getting warmer is that the Sun is constantly becoming hotter.

One day it'll become a red giant and it will have a maximum radius beyond the Earth's current orbit. Firstly, it will destroy Mercury, Venus and Earth, and later the other planets, as well.

Basic Physics my friend. Because the polar Ice caps are melting does not mean the sea levels rise. That is over hyped I'm afraid. You put an Ice cube in water, and when it melts you have the same amount of drink but no ice cube.

 

But in principal you got it on the head.

 

I think that we as a species should try and think up better ways of stopping Global Warming. Instead of implementing the crappy ones we have now.

Fumes and other exhales are just speeding up the process. They're not the sole reason for the warming up of Earth

thats right. but see if we keep ommiting gasses at this rate the ozone layer will slowly be destroyed and we'd be exposed to UV rays. (not a good thing)

I suggest you guys look up the Mayan prophecies which are based on the Mayan religion as well as the New Age movement.

I don't know where everyone got the "world going to end" stuff but it has never been said that it's going to be destroyed.

 

The Mayans thought that the Milky Way was a part of the great goddess which would lead to Xibalba, the Mayan underworld. In 2012 the goddess will give birth to a god and thus start a New Age. That was how the Mayans explained that part of the universe.

New Age brought it even further and started something about the Age of the Aquarius, people waking up in the morning with activated chakras and everyone loving each other and the planet.

 

Obviously IF anything was to happen it'd mean the world would still exist after 2012. Which it's going to do anyway.

1. Humanity and Planet Earth are currently going through a huge change or shift in consciousness and reality perception.
