TAG
Easily my favorite book out of all the books I've had to read in high school. Granted, its competition was stuff like Great Expectations and Moby Dick, but it's still a pretty good read.
El Beasto Perezoso
I did orgasm after reading the first chapter. That didn't happen again until the fat kid died.

Mister Sir
Never read it. :/ Is it a good read? When you know the meaning of the book, it's an amazing read. BTW, Roger = Me.
CrabHelmet
Something about Golding's writing style feels odd to me, but it is definitely an excellent read. Battle royal did it better. Good joke. Battle Royal couldn't get the kids to start killing each other without forcing them into an absurdly artificial situation where no other option was available - they were told to kill each other and handed weapons' date=' they were told that if they didn't kill each other quick enough then the people running the game would kill them off themselves, and they were told that the only way to escape alive was to be the last man standing. That the kids turned on each other in those conditions is utterly meaningless - of course they did! They were forced to! But that proves nothing about human nature - or, indeed, about anything at all. [i']Lord of the Flies[/i] simply has them on an island together, with nobody arming them or telling them to kill each other or killing them off or promising an escape to the last man standing; the events that occurred under those conditions have actual meaning. tl;dr: Being Japanese and more bloody does not make Battle Royal superior. Akira
It bored me when we studied it at school, but that's probably just because our English teacher was really dull and dry.
