Death

I am not afraid of dying.

Dying is just the complete loss of consciousness.

Is that a bad thing? No.

Is that a good thing? No

It is just a thing.

Why are people afraid of dying?

Is it because you are attached to people and things?

Why are you attached to people and things?

Does it change anything, really?

If you are attached to people, and you lose them, wouldn't you lose your identity?

Isn't the loss of your identity worse then death?

I am fully ready to die.

Free yourself.

Such philosophy does not belong on a website devoted to a children's game.

Lol that's pretty true but this is the general sections area so we can post whatever as long as the moderators don't lock them. To be completely honest I can agree with what you put in about death BehindTheMask. It's not a good thing to be afraid of death thus making you a thantophobia and apparently studies show that it can affect your overall mood and change the way you act towards others. I did not know this until I discussed death with some university mental and health professors during a college campus visit.

I had a talk with a 95 year old man today.

He said' date=' and I quote: "You never know when you're going to die. All I know is that I'm ready to go."

I think that's the ideal attitude to have. I've done all that I've wanted to do and I'm ready to leave any time.

[/quote']

People who are about to die are ALWAYS ready to die.

So he dosen't count.

The point IS, that we don't know when we are going to die. We could die any time. We shouldn't freak out about it. You don't have to be 95 to have that kind of attitude.

Hm' date=' death.

I'm not exactly afraid of it at all, nor am afraid of the pain I'll have to go through when I am dying, but I am scared of dying alone and sad.

I want to die in the face of someone I love.

[/quote']

And what if that dosen't happen, hmm? Are you just going to hold up on death until you find a lover?

A lover? So the people you love, has to be someone who is in a relationship with you, a lover?

I have a wide family and I love my friends, they are all very close to me.

I won't hold up death, duh, it's impossible. But I hope to die in front of them.

You take my intentions as something different.

I hope to die in front of at least one person I know and am close to, so my death isn't a mistery and I can die last, looking at the face of someone I love in a way of friendship or admiration. I die when I die, and even if I wasn't in front of someone when they went through death, they'd still feel sadness. It's all the same no matter what.

I've seen the closest friend to me commit suicide already. She died in the place of someone she loved. It's the nicest way to die.

I know what's right for me and I know what I'm trying to say.

Don't need some irritating person to try decoding it. >_>

Back off.

Because I clearly didn't tell you the story of her. And if you ever had a clue' date=' maybe you would understand. But you don't, and never will. You don't know me, nor have you ever met her.[b']Nor do l want to know, or care, about either of you.[/b]

Shut up. I hate your kind of talk.

Don't drag this out. l said goodbye. Now i'm asking YOU to back off. Take your own advice.

It is probably because there is usually a lot of pain attached to dying. Other than that it isn't death they are afraid but the lack of time to fix things they think they did wrong or want to continue doing.

People usually get a sense of false inhibitions with the things they do in their daily life's, and nothing forces them to realize this then the ultimate of absence, death.
