If we were to just make him into a Moderator for a month and base whether he would continue being of that position on how he performed in that month, we could be looking at a serious opportunity for weight being relieved from the other Moderators' shoulders. I'm not validating his actions, at all. I'm saying that it was over-the-top for a joke, and you shouldn't be banned for saying that either. Wouldn't you agree that steps being taken towards improving YCM, giving Riku a chance at moderation being a prime example, would be better than just trashing it and treating it as a lost cause? I'll admit the Moderators have made mistakes in the past, myself included, but the members were never shining beacons of innocence either. Well no sheet. The staff's main mistake is that they are too harsh- should they punish the people that only post on here for fun or welcome it so everyone can enjoy themselves? And when they do take it too far, and you've decided that a banning is logical then do it. The members are never innocent when it comes to those mistakes either, as it's them that cause it.
