- You REALLY need to learn how ATK and DEF relate to Level; these are so far off the mark it's insane.

- Fake Types

- Only a couple monsters have any real effects; the others just have really weird summoning conditions.

- I'm quite sure there are no Quick-Play, Ritual, or Field Traps, nor are there Counter Spells.

- I'm also fairly sure that Trap cards play no part in Synchro Summoning.

- Many of the pictures have no backgrounds, and Boo Mushroom and Helihat are just plain painful to look at.

- Mario, Luigi, Daisy, and Peach are NOT Union Monsters. Not based on the way you've set them up, anyway.

 

Look at cards from the official game and things that experienced members around here come up to see how cards should be worded and put together.

I have to agree with Pyro.

You still need to learn about YGO. Download a few games for GBA or DS and practice. After that, make your own cards.

This isn't harshness, it's the basic standards of YCM. People are simply trying to make constructive critism, though some methods may seem harsher than others.

 

And for you, GDitto, you won't make it on this site if you keep this up... no offense.

Nothing's perfect, so that excuse is completely meaningless. There has to be some sort of standard to what's acceptable, and these don't even come close.

 

And considering the OP apparently knows how Yu-Gi-Oh works and deliberately ignored it to post crap because he apparently likes it that way, no one has any right to complain about harsh posts here.

well I think you could have done ALOT better, I think your big mistake might have been you just jumped in and didn't look around first (thats what I did when I started.) We were all new at one point or another, but there is really no reason as to why you couldn't have made these alot better. So try and fix them up, ask people for help, try and get better, don't give up. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Guys, you're being too harsh on a member. As for the cards...

 

By the way, just because you make them how you like them doesn't mean they can be 6000+ ATK with horrible Yugioh Grammar - it upsets a lot of people how you show them cards that don't make sense to them, as it doesn't get the same feeling.

 

Monsters -

 

Many cards are too overpowered. The summoning conditions are VERY awkward. People won't want to load their deck to the brim with Spell Cards.

 

Just because that the monsters can be fused doesn't mean they are Union monsters. I mean, look at Masaki the Legendary Swordsman or Red-Eyes Black Dragon. They aren't Union, but they can be fused.

 

Don't use fake types like Plumber or Princess. People REALLY get you for that. Make substitutes, like Warriors or Spellcasters, respectively. You should only use fake types if you're going to focus on that type and that type only.

 

Don't use DIVINE at all. I don't care but others hate DIVINE.

 

Spell/Trap Cards -

 

WAY TOO OVERPOWERED.

 

There is no such thing as Ritual, Quick-Play, or Equip Traps (except for Metalmorph, but Metalmorph ONLY) nor is there such thing as Counter Spells.

 

Bee Mushroom has no drawbacks - it summons a high-level overpowered monster with more than 6000 ATK, and your opponent suffers by removing from play 8 cards from their deck? People will think that this is a cheap deck.

 

What does Toadsworth have to do with Dr. Mario?

 

Why the heck does Shadow Mario's work, graffiti, have to do with summoning REGULAR MARIO?

 

Back to Monster Cards -

 

Goomba is the worst card I've seen in a long time. Take it off.

Yeah, play the game or READ THE EFFECTS OF REAL CARDS! It helps.

There are a lot of OCG errors, most of the cards are OP'd, and some of the types of Trap Cards don't exist. If you come on here without any knowledge of the game, this becomes a lot harder than it has 2.

I agree, especially on the OP'd part. I mean, Bee Mushroom removes from play 8 monsters in your opponent's deck, then you get to pull a super-cheap card with more than 6000 ATK out of your ass?

-A lot of pics are either poor or lack BGs, making them poor. The worst offender is the Dimensional Wizard. That's not even your picture, much less a picture that's never been on a YGO card. In fact, since you didn't give credit to the actual TCG for the pic, that's an illegal card since it's a copyright protected picture, not to mention a poor choice for the card. I would have picked Bestovius if I was making the set since he actually is the Dimensional Wizard in the Mario series

-Fake types are really only "acceptable" if your entire set you are showcasing uses the type, although I won't really get on to somebody about that TOO badly

-Very many of your cards are OP'd. Quite a few people have said Bee Mushroom, and also for the fusions, you just added the ATK points of the monster which isn't how they get the ATK points for a fusion monster...heck, I haven't bought YGO cards in like 7 years and I know that.

-OCG, although as you can see in my sig, I don't care at all if it doesn't prevent the card from being easily understood, but there are a few effects that are awkward.

 

Overall:

It's a good first attempt, but what you are doing to detract from the cards take away from the things you got right. Which, to be brutally honest, isn't much.

4/10

 

Hope this helps. It's not about making you feel like your cards are crap, it's about telling you what you're doing wrong and getting you to improve.
