I made this because I felt like, since this card game and anime is based on Egyptian mythology, that Anubis should be recognized! And so here he is, "Anubis Risen"![spoiler=Anubis Risen+Ritual] [spoiler=Anubis Risen Lore] This card can not be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Ritual Summoned with "Netherworld Crossing Ritual" Spell Card. When this card is Ritual Summoned toss a coin. If heads send all your opponent's monsters on the field to the Graveyard. If tails discard your hand and draw the same number of cards from your Deck. As long as this card remains face up on the field no Spell or Trap Cards can be played. This card is not affected by any Monster Card effects. When this card is Ritual Summoned toss a coin 5 times. If heads increase the ATK of this card by 1000. If tails increase the DEF of this card 500. [spoiler=Netherworld Crossing Ritual Lore] This card is used to Ritual Summon "Anubis Risen". If you get 3 Heads and 3 Tails the card gains 6000 ATK and 3000 DEF? Or if you manage to get 6 times heads this card's ATK is increased by 2000?? AngelsShadow Posted December 15, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 15, 2009 Oh well I just thought this would be a good card, I thought about how God cards act and I sort of came up with my own, I can clarify the coin toss (it means toss the coin 6 times in one turn 'cause the chances of you getting 6 heads and having a 12000 ATK monster are pretty slim, it's meant to make it to where you either have a pretty powerful DEF monster or a very powerful ATK monster.) And I fixed the card it now says "When this card is Ritual Summoned toss a coin 6 times." Oh and I didn't want to overpower it like make it 9800 ATK and 9600 DEF that would be outrageous, I wanted to make a god card that still had it's limitations just like all other god cards. DMZ Posted December 15, 2009 Report Share Posted December 15, 2009 12000 ATK will win any duel in a single turn, except against Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon(500 LP left) so if that is the case, this card is too strong.Best you can do is lower the ATK increase to 1000 and the DEF increase to 500. And make the coin toss 5 times. For the Ritual Spell card I suggest you remove the "from your hand" part so it will be harder to Summon. Also you might want to "change" the summoning effect to "You must tribute 2 level 9 or higher monsters you control" IRT to Crab:Don't be harsh on him, God cards are so attractive because everyone wants a real God XDOh' date=' okay well I can go and fix it then. Slifer the Sky Dragon gets 2000 for every card in the players hand that means if you get 5 cards in your hand you get 10000 ATK and with this card the chances of even getting that are slim, chances are you'll wind up with either 6000 ATK and 3000 DEF, 8000 ATK and 2000 DEF or 4000 ATK and 4000 DEF. I don't need to explain that to you, do I? At any rate, this has de facto immunity to battle bar Honest as long as you get two or more heads. The probability of getting two or more heads in six flips is 57/64. I love the comment about sleeping better at night. Yeah, it's obvious that any criticism made of your card is because I can't sleep properly if idiots screw up on the internet. That totally makes sense. I'm not trying to instigate or be a pain or nuisance, I'm just kind of curious.[/quote'] There are some very big differences you're overlooking. 1) Slifer isn't actually in the game. 2) Anime!Slifer gets 1000 ATK per card in hand, not 2000. 3) Anime!Slifer requires the user to conserve hand advantage to have any decent ATK. 4) Anime!Slifer isn't immune to all effects, just effects that target. 5) Anime!Slifer is much harder to Summon, requiring either three Tributes for a Normal Summon or some sort of Special Summon that leads to him self-destructing at the end of the turn anyhow. 6) Slifer isn't actually in the game. I have to repeat this because you don't seem to understand that a non-existent card cannot be reasonably cited for the purposes of "proving" balance. Okay man come on I'm not being mean I was just curious, sure I got a little sarcastic with the "sleep better at night" comment but that was petty sarcasm not a direct personal attack on you or your character. And I wasn't saying that all criticism on my card is because you can't sleep right, if you remember I said that I welcome all criticism, I was merely asking based on personal curiosity not that I think my card is above criticism I was just asking that's all.
