Yeah, I understand. But you aren't like my friend at all. She killed herself at 13. She always wanted to please people with that nervous smile of hers. She wanted to make people happy. She was an abused child, who also got bullied at school, but she smiled through her pain. I was her best friend since 1st grade. I tried to help. But failed.

In the end, she killed herself to complete the wishes of, "You'd be better off dead."

Even though I was so close to her, I couldn't tell she wanted to do something like that. But I tried to live through it, since she wanted it this way.

And you know what? I realize what I did wrong. I never asked her the simple question of, "Are you okay?" I just fought off the bullies and tried to confort her. But rarely, have I asked if she was okay, because I knew that she wasn't inside. I let it slip out of my hands, and eventually she killed herself.

So why don't people just ask, "Are you okay?" It literally puts the suicidal rate lower then it already is.

To understand someone's problem should be like living through it. No matter if you can show empathy or not, the sympathy is enough.

So, now, are you okay? If not, what's the matter?

But from the first couple of posts, I don't think you have enough problems to live suicidal and depressed all the time. It's selfish, you know. Just smile.
