1. So you have been on YCM for 19 months now , are you starting to get bored ?

Yes. I have left multiple times, but annoyingly, I always end up back here.

 

2. Was YCM better 19 months ago ?

Hell yes.

 

3. When you joined where you considered a noob ?

Not really, I was relatively well-behaved.

 

4. When you first joined YCM did you ever think you would reach 8,000 posts ?

No

 

5. Did you think you would stay on YCM for as long as 19 months ?

No

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

Flame Dragon and Azrael

 

7. Do you agree with the changes the mods make ?

Mostly, but of course, some things I do disagree.

 

8. If you where a mod what changes would you make to YCM ?

Depends how the situation was at the time. I'd certainly make some changes to clean up the forum a bit, and stricter punishments to those who break the rules.

 

9. Where did you get the idea for you name ?

My initials ;D

 

10. Which section of YCM do you spend most time in ?

Showcase and General.

 

 

11. Do you plan to leave YCM in the future ( Next 1-2 years ) ?

I don't really know yet. But probably yes.

 

12. How much time do you spend on YCM every day/week ?

I dunno, 3-4 hours a day on scool days, 8 hours other days. Mainly because I always have a YCM tab open when I'm on my computer.

 

13. What do you like most about YCM ?

My friends.

 

14. And what do you like least about YCM ( If there is anything ) ?

Everything else.

 

 

15. Whats your happiest day in YCM so far? Was it a special day, special moment?

I dunno, probably when I rounded 5000 posts.

1. When did you start getting bored with YCM in your 1 year stay ?

Well, I never really got 'bored', I just missed all the members who had left.

 

2. What was YCM like 1 year ago ?

Well, for one, there were quite a few less threads about remembering 'the old days', as they were the old days. YCM was enjoying prosperity, with many members active and many people who contributed.

 

3. What did other members think of you when you first joined?

I was mainly in Realistic, so members mostly liked my cards.

 

4. What made you decide to reach a post count of 7,000?

Nothing, I just did.

 

5. What made you stay on YCM for 1 Years?

Well, friend stat I've made and activities I've participated in mainly.

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

I quite like Falling Pizza, as our views tend to aline.

 

7. What is your reaction to the recent changes that the moderators make/made?

Well, I like them, for the most part. Perhaps not all the rule threads in RP, but I mostly like them.

 

8. What would be the changes you would make if you were to be a Moderator of YCM?

Depends on the section. I would enforce some rules I don't see being enforced, like, 'Report and Move On'

 

9. Where did you get the idea for you name ?

Well, I like Luna from Harry potter.

General

 

11. Do you plan to leave YCM in the future ( Next 1-2 years ) ?

I will leave in the future, I just don't know when

A lot, but it depends. It can vary from 1 hour to 3-4

 

13. What do you like most about YCM ?

The people. Its fun interacting with people I'll never meet

I don't have a 'happiest'. Lots of good days though.

 

16.Do you see your self as a respected member of YCM if so why ?

I do see myself as a largely respected member, if only because Clariex hates me. Just kidding. I feel members like me, and respect me, as when I join clubs, I tend to get ranked as 'Legend'

 

17.I see you are the owner of The YCMIA what gave you the inspiration to make a club like that ?

Well, I like seeing people working together, and friendly competition makes people work harder, so yeah.

 

18.Do you believe it is one of the best clubs in YCM if so why ?

Well, I am hardly active within its ranks anymore, but it was...

 

19.Do you think the re-make is better than the original YCMIA And a reason why ?

Well, the re-make is, different. They tend not to have the card making challenges anymore, sigh.

1.: When did you start getting bored with YCM in your 1 year stay ?

- some months ago i getting bored with cardmaking so i decide me to go into the GFX section and in that case you have something to do each time.

 

2. What was YCM like 1 Year ago?

- Mhm... YCM a year ago? Good question, I think i don't think that there is much difference between today. You must imagine Mia's shop wasn't open, Father Wolfs and Karubins were the only image archives. To the most things i don't can say something because i was only a newbie.

 

3. What did other members think of you when you first joined?

- Mhm... I think some people hate me first, cause i post at first some german cards and suck at image making Wink. But since I'm a Level 4 i got respect from Monkey and the guy who knowns as Obsidian and .Gandora. then came my famous Background shop that was the points were i getting known.

 

4. What made you decide to reach a post count of 4,000?

- i like to help newbies, best examples for this are .king and SK8TR»» who are great cardmakers with low level.

 

5. What made you stay on YCM for 1 eyear ?

- like to may new stuff so the time goes very fast. Wink

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

- I prefer Prince Hunter ( Napoleon) Yankeefan and Yin (Rua)

 

7. What is your reaction to the recent changes that the moderators make/made?

- I don't see that many changes, but mostly the mods are right.

 

8. What would be the changes you would make if you were to be a Moderator of YCM?

- I as a mod? interesting, think i don't would change many because being a mod is a teamplay so should make too much.

 

9.Who would you choose to be the next mod and why ?

- The next mode should be Father Wolf, he is one of the Legends on this site and i think he is a great guy.

 

10. Where did you get the idea for you name ?

- Ohhh thats löly. I was playing Fifa 06 (lol Old) and there i buy me a little player called "Wanderley" he was not bad with 63 but at the end he has 85 so he was a good player and my fave one. Wink

 

11. Which section of YCM do you spend most time on ?

- Realistic Cards/ SHowcase/ Requests

 

12. Do you plan to leave YCM in the future ( Next 1-2 years ) ?

- I will see what came into the future

 

13. How much time do you spend on YCM every day/week ?

- i mostly go when i look TV at 20.00 so ca. 3-4 hours.

 

14. What do you like most about YCM ?

- The mostly Great members, and that it is so big

 

15. What do you like least about YCM ( If there is anything ) ?

- The newbies that going into noobish, with high post count that they reach mostly through spam i don't respect these persons.

 

17.Do you see your self as a respected member of YCM if so why ?

- Respected is a big word, I think I'm well known on this site because I have after Father Wolf the biggest Image Archive.

 

18.Do you think YCMaker should add anything to the card maker and If so what ?

- Definitly the Gold Sticker, because for 1st edition and Limited Edition you need them after that i think it is great.

 

 

19.I see you the owner of Custom Card Image Archive what gave you the inspiration to start making custom images ?

- Nahh... the main ispiration was to get good images for making cards, and then i say saw Father Wolf then i thought i should help out with custom images.

 

20.Do you think it was successful and a reason why ?

- Yeah i think so. Most of my images are overused Very Happy so that say it all.

 

21.Have you done anything in YCM to improve the site and if so what ?

- I have some things done, I done the Avi archive to get good avis for members for free, then my Image archive and i really make ofthen gifts for my buddys.

 

22.Where you the first person do make custom images in YCM if not who was ?

I think the BIG father of custom images is Father Wolf

1.: When did you start getting bored with YCM in your 1 year stay ?

I've never been really 'bored'. Sometimes, I don't know what to do, but YCM never ceases to surprise me.

 

2. What was YCM like 2 Year ago?

Well, when I joined, users were more mature and rarely attempted trolling. But I like the YCM as it is now.

 

3. What did other members think of you when you first joined?

They thought I'm a random n00b, who will leave in a week. But they didn't get rid of me yet >=)

 

4. What made you decide to reach a post count of 2,000?

Simple. It was my love to the card creator. I enjoyed making cards so I stayed. Then I discovered the General Section and couldn't get away from it.

 

5. What made you stay on YCM for 1 year ?

See above. This forum grabbed my whole attention.

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

I see a tie between Opalmoon and the Crabster.

 

7. What is your reaction to the recent changes that the moderators make/made?

They are very clever and experienced members, so I almost totally agree with what they did.

 

8. What would be the changes you would make if you were to be a Moderator of YCM?

I'd try to be a little stricter than most of the mods. Yeah, "Boo!" on me, but I think some moderators aren't strict enough yet. SOME moderators.

 

9.Who would you choose to be the next mod and why ?

Well, I always wanted Static to be a mod, because of her cool nature and her wide experience. But she kinda left. :/ Now, I think Kira or Brushfire would be some cool mods. Or ~TwIsTeD~. I know he could be a bit more mature sometimes, but I think he would be good for this job. I feel it.

 

10. Where did you get the idea for your name ?

"WiiOmi" is German for "WiiGranny", and now make an educated guess while looking on my avatar.

 

11. Which section of YCM do you spend most time on ?

General; definitely. No doubt.

 

12. Do you plan to leave YCM in the future ( Next 1-2 years ) ?

No, not yet. I'll annoy you a little longer. =)

 

13. How much time do you spend on YCM every day/week ?

On school days, estimated 2 hours. On weekends or during holidays, it varies. But 4-5 hours in average.

 

14. What do you like most about YCM ?

The funny members having funny conversations and of course my friends. Yeah, the cliche-answer.Rolling Eyes

 

15. What do you like least about YCM ( If there is anything ) ?

Some members are just plain stupid but want to play the clever smartalecks. It's annoying

 

16. Whats your happiest day in YCM so far? Was it a special day, special moment?

There were many happy moments, but I think the best was when my One Piece thread got stickied. Or my birthday.

 

17.Do you see your self as a respected member of YCM if so why ?

I think some members respect me. But that's a small part. I'm often disrespected. Sadly, yes. But I have less negs than YCMaker and plenty posreps. xP I think that's a sign that I'm not totally hated.

 

18.Do you think YCMaker should add anything to the card maker and If so what ?

An OCG-corrector maybe. But that's hard to make, I guess. :)

 

19.Have you done anything in YCM to improve the site and if so what ?

I really want to support and help this forum, but where should I get the opportunity as an easy member?

I haven't gotten bored yet and unlikely I will, unless no newbies come along.

 

2. What was YCM like 10 months ago Year ago?

It was okay, kind of like it was now. Icy wasn't Super Mod and we didn't have the separate 1-on-1 forum.

 

3. What did other members think of you when you first joined?

Pretty much how they consider newbs these days. (I never made intro though)

 

4. What made you decide to reach a post count of 6,000?

I was very close to 6K (around 5,980) and I decided "Hey, why not just go the whole way and finish the day off with 6K posts)

 

5. What made you stay on YCM for 10 months ?

Card maker, getting online friends

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

I can't decide but either between Azrael / Rua.

 

7. What is your reaction to the recent changes that the moderators make/made?

Let's just say that I disagree with the name change one and I'm not really thrilled about Rinne implementing a mandatory Advanced Clause in RPs. I don't really mind the one that you need 150 posts to have a CC Contest b/c it doesn't apply to me.

 

8. What would be the changes you would make if you were to be a Moderator of YCM?

Get rid of the mandatory Advanced Clause, edit some of the rules because I personally feel that some of them are too harsh and help new members whenever they need it. I'd also wouldn't ban new members for having a moderator's former name b/c they wouldn't know

 

9. Where did you get the idea for your name ?

The first two characters are my first and middle initials. The rest of it was just something to make my name look awesome and unique.

 

10. Which section of YCM do you spend most time on ?

Depends, but probably Graphics or General.

 

11. Do you plan to leave YCM in the future ( Next 1-2 years ) ?

No, unless YCM becomes an anarchy or if I have college

Depends, but pretty much every day if I have that luxury

Card maker and pretty much, my YCM buddies.

Let's just say reaching my 5000th post made me feel good, so it's a special day.

Yes, because everyone knows me well enough and I've been here long enough to earn their respect.

Other than adding the Dark Synchro stuff, I really don't see anything else that needs work

Yes, Rua was the one that inspired me to start making renders.

 

18.Do you think it was successful and a reason why ?

The first time around, my thread's been pretty successful and now it gets a couple hundred views daily.

 

19.Have you done anything in YCM to improve the site and if so what ?

I made the render gallery and I help keep tthe forum clean by reporting inappropriate content when needed.

Łεσ™ is a male member of YCM he has 8,000 posts and has one of the active clubs in YCM.

 

1.: When did you start getting bored with YCM in your 6 month stay ?

Well. October was probably when I got the most bored. It got extremley better as the month went on. Nobody was online. Not much to do tbh...

 

2. What was YCM like 6 months ago?

It was actually pretty good. Not much difference from now in my experience. A lot if it is still there. I must say that Realistic Cards was muhc better 6 Months ago.

 

3. What did other members think of you when you first joined?

Well. It was hard to tell. I started in Realistic Cards so I didn't get that much of a feel for it.

 

4. What made you decide to reach a post count of 8,000?

I don't know. One of those things that just happen. I wanted to get to 5,000 though.

 

5. What made you stay on YCM for 6 months ?

Well the fact I could make cards and discuss in clubs made me stay. It has been a greta experience so far.

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

lol. Napoleon. Even though he banned me twice I still greatly respect him

 

7. What is your reaction to the recent changes that the moderators make/made?

The Name Change was a very smart move. Now Arazel can actually post instead off being loaded with naem requests.

 

8. What would be the changes you would make if you were to be a Moderator of YCM?

I would try to work harder on Keeping Realistic Cards less spammy. That is probably the biggest place now for Spam besides Role Playing and Clubs.

 

9. Who would you choose to be the next mod and why ?

Hard Question is Hard. There are quite a few good options. I would chose Phantom Roxas. He has been around for quite a while and knows the site quite well.

 

10. Where did you get the idea for you name?

Well I like the 5D's character and is is Epic. I also needed soemthing different from Ovechkin Rocks. A mehish name imo.

 

11. Which section of YCM do you spend most time on?

Clubs and General. That is where all the discussion is. I know do find myself going to Realistic Cards a lot.

 

12. Do you plan to leave YCM in the future ( Next 1-2 years ) ?

I don't know tbh. I will leave sometime. Just not anytime soon.

 

13. How much time do you spend on YCM every day/week ?

A couple of hours a day. Maybe 25 so hours a week. I am just guessing

 

14. What do you like most about YCM?

Realistic Cards. Just have fun making cards and having people rate them. A lot of my good friends on YCM are active there.

Worst? I can't think of one off the top of my head.

Probably when I hit 5,000 Posts. It was pretty cool. We had a lot of fun in my club.

I think I am. I was the winner of the YCM Friendlist Member Award. I guess that would mean I am.

Compatability with uploading .png files.

I was bored on YCM. Made the Club. The rest is history ;D.

Our Post Count in the Club Says a lot. I think we have a lot of great members keeping it a great, active club.

 

21. Have you done anything in YCM to improve the site and if so what ?

Well... I think I have done something for YCM. I try to help people when I can. I have also made a couple of succesful clubs so that might be an improvement for some members.

 

22. I see you are also the owner of ✖ ICML: The Club ✖ what gave you the inspiration to make a club like that ?

Well we already have an ICML Card Contest. We decided then to make a Club.

 

23. Do you think it was successful and a reason why ?

Since we also have a contest I think it will attract peopel to join the club. That will make it more interesting club to manage.

 

24.Which of the two cubs is better in your opinion and why ?

The Club o' Fun has done mroe, been active longer and has a bigger base of Members. I will Chose the Club o' Fun. Als the club was the runner-up for YCMs best Club.

I really never got bored...

 

2. What was YCM like 5 months ago?

Pretty much the same, I guess. A lot of changes in moderators since then, and a lot of people that are big on YCM today were noobs.

 

3. What did other members think of you when you first joined?

I acted like a noob, but I made friends.

 

4. What made you decide to reach a post count of 2,000?

Nothing, really. I just found more things to do, and thus, my post count got higher.

 

5. What made you stay on YCM for 5 months ?

I started by making realistic cards, but gave up. I did a lot in the GFX section, and eventually started SCGC. That was enough to keep me occupied.

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

In my opinion, the best mod is Flame Dragon. Not only did he sticky my club (Tehe.), but he's done a lot more for YCM.

 

7. What is your reaction to the recent changes that the moderators make/made?

I'm not a fan of the name change policy, but I guess it makes their job a little easier.

 

8. What would be the changes you would make if you were to be a Moderator of YCM?

I would obviously make all bow down to me. Meh, I don't know.

 

9.Who would you choose to be the next mod and why ?

I would choose ♥ ЅϯᵲåώӀӞ℮ᴙʀɣ−ɴɨɨ−ƈħåɴ ♥. She would be responsible, active, and can get something done, unlike some other less active mods.

 

10. Where did you get the idea for you name ?

Here's a lame reason. My mom used to call me that. : P

Clubs/Organizations.

The wide variety of forums to spend time in.

Yesterday. That was December 19, 2009... I won two YCM Awards.

Yeah, I guess. I'm not sure why, but I just know I'm doing something right.

No, I don't really use the card maker anymore.

 

19.I see you the owner of Skippy Canoe's Graphics Club what gave you the inspiration to start making a club like that ?

I used to have a shop; Skippy Canoe's Graphix Stop. I made the club while the shop was still open. It was to make a GFX club that was non-elitist, where GFX noobs could gain skills from other.

 

20.Do you think it was successful and a reason why ?

Yes, it has 40 members, it got stickied, and won the YCM Award for Best Club/Organization.

 

21.Have you done anything in YCM to improve the site and if so what ?

I have a suggestion with quite a few supporters to add more BBCode. Other than that, I guess I've just treated everyone right wherever I go.

 

22.Your club has won Best Club/Organization YCM Award do you feel proud that your club got the award and why ?

Well, of course I'm proud. All my hard work to get the club famous paid off.

Cyber Altair is a 16 year old female who has been on YCM 2 years and has over 16,000 posts.

 

1.: When did you start getting bored with YCM in your 2 years stay ?

To be honest, last 2 months have been a drag, after returning from my summer vacations nothing on here is interesting enough and newfags seem to worship older newfags because they're like 1 month older. Still <3 you Silencer ;D

 

2. What was YCM like 2 Years ago?

Less and more active. It wasn't 300 members posting a day like today but the place was a smaller more caring community instead of the Multimedia/General/TCG/RP/CC factions we see these days. Also ragnafag wasn't around.

 

3. What did other members think of you when you first joined?

I wouldn't know really, I guess once I knew the OCG for cards I got accepted as a member. Also about a month later when Draco joined I met Frunk and Static and became a bit closer since I just discovered General XD

 

4. What made you decide to reach a post count of 16,000?

Nothing, I just posted until I reached 16K.

 

5. What made you stay on YCM for 1 years ?

As I said I enjoyed frequenting YCM until the last 2 months or so.

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

Most of the mods do their jobs good but nothing beyond the "Call of Duty" to help the place.

 

7. What is your reaction to the recent changes that the moderators make/made?

I hardly find changes to have a reaction. I guess I commend CP for ending the name change crap.

 

8. What would be the changes you would make if you were to be a Moderator of YCM?

If Super I would make the General what it should be rather then DoP's flooding room. VG would be more organized and up to date and fix the broken "rules" we have. If only a normal mod then simply what I can do to the section (read above).

 

9.Who would you choose to be the next mod and why?

Um =\ Roxas for RP or FF or wherever he goes I guess.

 

10. Where did you get the idea for you name?

Can't remember. Altair was taken so I had to add something and I came up with Cyber because of the card Cyber Dragon. Yeah.

 

11. Which section of YCM do you spend most time on?

VG and General.

 

12. Do you plan to leave YCM in the future ( Next 1-2 years )?

Eventually, not until I get better Internet connection to satisfy my Multiplayer gaming needs or find a better and active forums. But I feel I'll still keep posting here for a very long time.

 

13. How much time do you spend on YCM every day/week?

Couple of hours a day minimum. I check YCM and a couple of sites usually.

 

14. What do you like most about YCM?

I don't really know. It has a certain charm to it.

How slow YCM is these days.

Not happiest day but rather a nice day when we got the Multimedia Section.

I'm respected because I've been here longer then most but don't necessarily get the respect or recognition I deserve.

I don't know, it's been dead for a long time now.

It was because no one else was doing it.

My overall presence I suppose, I've been around and contributed to so many things like the increase in sig space, birth of the Multimedia section and so much more.

I'm just very activate, and of course I didn't spam to reach that much.

My incredible ability to have nothing better to do.

There have changes?! Didn't noticed at all.

Let's see, I probably wouldn't like to mod the General Section, its too boring to lock a new thread every 5 seconds. I think I would mod the AoC because I think the CC mods just forget about the section. And I think that's the why the members from RC say the AoC Section is treated is a Spamhole, those bastards.

I cannot answer that, Actually I can, but I don't want to.

 

10. Where did you get the idea for you name ?

Kind of funny actually, back when I was 7 (I know most of the members ready this don't really care), I needed an universal Username, so I just type something random, just 2 years later I notice "Deustodo" mean "God of all". (I'm brazilian, so the name is in portuguese as well).

 

11. Which section of YCM do you spend most time on ?

Any other Cards.

 

12. Do you plan to leave YCM in the future ( Next 1-2 years ) ?

More than 8 hours, I'm very activate.

I think he should add the option to Make Dark Synchros, because it would make alot of shops in YCM close, and it would make people angry, and I like to piss people off.

I like to make cards, and I saw a lot of Member Card Center, but none of them were THAT good, so I decided to make one of myself, I never though it would be that good.

I believe yes, because my "clients" aren't just newbies, Experience members ask me for cards as well, and I have the only Member Card Center with H.S., Infra, and other Custom Sub-Types as option for the Member Cards.

 

21.Have you done anything in YCM to improve the site and if so what ?

I try to help the newbies at AoC with OCG correction, because the members who post there are newbies or people who post on newbie's thread to say "Your cards sucks. Much. So I help them."

I wasn't the first one, when I got here, Lazer Yoshi had a Member Card Center as well, Tenkage too, I just had the Most sucesfull Member Card Center, until now.

Things were chaotic like they are now, only I don't think there was as much hate on the moderating team as the is now.

. I was quite noobish back then, but I had friends.

.I asked myself "How can someone who hasn't posted a single thread and hasn't been here for a year have over 20,000 posts". I was in a post rush, but now I've cooled down and further increases in the post counts will just happen, since I'm satisfied with being the third top poster.

 

5. What made you stay on YCM for 1 Years?

. There are a lot of forums, and after making so many friends, I just can't bring myself to leave. Plus, if I leave, I want it to be in the most epic way possible

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

Either Flame Dragon, Chaos Pudding, or Umbra. I've seen the most of the other mods do a good job, but the three of them are good.

 

7. What is your reaction to the recent changes that the moderators make/made?

While most of them are acceptable, the main changes that I've taken notice of are the changes in the Roleplay. I personally thought the Tag System was a great change, and yet it has been abolished. While the reasonings behind this are indeed reasonable, I personally feel that people that enjoy roleplaying but don't want to write Fanfics will have more freedom. It also allows them more ability to better prepare themselves. While the temporary existence of the Tag System may have been helped training, it may not have been enough for other members that still needed to improve. They may still try to roleplay, but it can be a bit off-putting for members who have to respond to a very long post, and yet can't muster up the ability to respond in a sufficient way.

More members will also come that need improvement, but since they will have to heel to the Advanced Clause, it may be a bit too much for them. I can personally handle the Advanced Clause, but Basic Roleplays should still be allowed. Now if you'll excuse me, I must teleport to a different location so that Rinne's assassins do not find me. *Poofs way*

 

8. What would be the changes you would make if you were to be a Moderator of YCM?

Now that I'm in a more safe area, allow me to answer your question. To prevent necrobumping, I would lock threads at the very, very end of the forum I would be in charge of. There's absolutely no reason for a person to post that far back, and the owner of the locked could just PM me if for some reason they have a problem with that. That's my main concern at the moment, though I will likely adjust my plans if I become a mod.

 

9. Where did you get the idea for you name ?

When I first joined, my name was ShadowRoxas, since shadow is a cool element and Roxas is favorite member of Organization XIII. After I watched the 2004 film version of Phantom of the Opera, I really liked the movie. By the time I decided to change my name, which was around the time Organization XIII was first established, I thought Phantom Roxas would be a good name. I've had a couple name changes since then, but I've returned to Phantom Roxas and I like that.

 

10. Which section of YCM do you spend most time on ?

That's a tough call, though I frequent General, Anime, Movies & TV Shows, and Video Games, with Fanfic being almost as high. I do visit other sections a lot like TCG, but those sections stick out the most to me.

 

11. Do you plan to leave YCM in the future ( Next 1-2 years ) ?

I do know that the day will come when I have to leave, but for now I don't know when that will be.

 

12. How much time do you spend on YCM every day/week ?

Whenever I'm on the computer, there is a high chance I'm on YCM, which is usually every day.

The fact that there's so many discussions that can go on.

How people overreact to trivial things or be overly critical of you just because you're not as good at a trading card game as they are and don't have the luck, money, or desire to buy good cards.

That's a good question, actually. I can't remember, to be honest.

It varies based on the sections I go to, though it's usually based on what I do and how knowledgeable I am.

I felt like making a Club, and Kingdom Hearts was the best thing I could think of.

It's one of the best clubs because it's won the awards, it has a lot of really good members, had one of the longest and greatest roleplay I've ever been in, and even Flame Dragon thinks it's the closest thing to the ideal YCM club.

Seldom - to be honest, this account was actually made in September 2006 and never used until the start of this year. At first I only intended to make it as a way of saving my cards, but when that didn't work, I just left it inactive until I wanted to start posting in the forums in January, and I almost made a new account until I remembered about this one.

 

2. What was YCM like 2 Year’s ago?

I can't remember much.

 

3. What did other members think of you when you first joined?

No idea ... not a n00b for certain, I've never acted in a n00bish way. I know Stein-Hakase quite liked me when I first RPed with him back in February.

 

4. What made you decide to reach a post count of 10,000?

I do have an obsession with getting up there in the top posters - it goes all the way back to my first days as a fanfic writer on a now-shut message board, when I developed it. I don't show it nowadays, but that obsession with getting masses of posts hasn't really gone away.

 

5. What made you stay on YCM for 2 years ? almost 1 year?

I didn't properly get my teeth into YCM until Stein-Hakase introduced me to the RP Yugioh Ultima Academy (which is still running nowdays, we're currently on part 6), where I enjoyed myself so much and became friends with guys like Supercardman101, and in the later parts, Lord JZ of the Enigma, awesome66 and Lopunny. I can't exactly say Ultima was the only thing which made me stay on, it was also down to other RPs such as Yugioh GX: Unknown Darkness, and also the sheer amount of fun you could have back then, up until the Advanced Clause trial in August.

 

6. Who is the best mod on YCM in your opinion ?

7. What is your reaction to the recent changes that the moderators make/made?

I didn't really like the Advanced Clause becoming mandatory - I thought it just killed all the fun. Before it became necessary, I remember you could write however much or little you wanted, you didn't need to give a care about your grammar or spelling, and you could go scripted form, and that, for me, made it fun in a way - not to mention you could do comedic effects far more easily than writing it out in neat little sentences, and you could have random conversations in OOC, which I just adored, especially if it involved sandwiches. I loved having a variety, it made things more interesting, but now it's just prose after prose and, in the more demanding RPs, fanciful elaboration. Don't get me wrong, I do understand why the Advanced Clause has been enforced upon us - to cut down on spam, and also to make us improve, which is a good cause - and I never had an issue with it because my RP style - being a fanfic writer - was always written in prose, but I just think it ruined the whole spirit in a way.

 

8. What would be the changes you would make if you were to be a Moderator of YCM?

Bring back the Tagging system in the RP section - I liked having the Tagging system, at least it meant if you wanted to RP under less stressful conditions, you could do so.

10. Where did you get the idea for you name ?

Magnet was originally a character of mine - small, 5'2" Chinese girl who had electromagnetic powers but she was much better at magnetism than electricity, and she wielded a guandao - for a RP that sadly died on pg 15 (I think). She was my first "unique" RP character who didn't conform to the then-tradition of naming characters after gemstones, and I just loved her so much. Ironically, she was almost called Blizzard, who would later go on to become B-Lizzard, animal shapeshifter and ice controller, hence the name.

 

11. Which section of YCM do you spend most time on ?

Take a guess, I've rattled on about the section for the past few questions.

It depends on what happens. I would love to stick around, but if something happens in the RP section that I just can't tolerate, I might quit. I almost did this year, actually, but as you can tell I didn't in the end.

To an extent - I think people who often browse any other forums but RP would mainly go "who?" at my name, but if you say it to those who do RP a lot, you'll get some "oh yeah, I know her" answers.

Errrrr ... I like to think I do. About 98% of the 10,628 - and counting - posts I've made were done through RPing.

Not all of them - I never join any RP that is based off any anime, except for Yugioh (up to GX though, I rarely take part in 5Ds as I've never seen an episode of 5Ds) and Pokemon. I had to put that message in red at one point because I got so fed up of people asking me to join RPs based off Bleach or Naruto or any other anime I've heard of but either not seen before or only seen snippets of (and in Chinese too, which only made me even more lost).

 

21.Have you done anything in YCM to improve the site and if so what ?

I dont think I have, apart from prolifically posting in the RP section.

Supercardman101 - he's such a sweet guy, we have tried to meet before twice at a convo in London but it's never happened.

Stein-hakase - we get on very well and he's a fantastic friend, it's just a shame he's in America and I'm in England.

Lord JZ of the Enigma - if I ever meet him, I must bring a platter of sandwiches with me.

Lopunny - we get on pretty well, and she's fun to talk to.

Ezio - he's a good friend to have, we get on quite well.

Well, i am not really doing anything on YCM this christmas as i am going on Holiday to Spain but, i am holding some christmas activities at my club that i'm sure my members will enjoy.

As i said before i am going on Holiday to Spain on the 24th, and i know i am gonna love that. We have hired a villa that is overlooking the sea.

1. What are you doing on YCM for christmas ?

Namely, I am trying to become nicer with new members (though challenge) and raise my reputation. I just entered the rating organisation in the 1 on 1 thread and hope to be able to increase my score. I also run a contest, the Murder Game, that needs just 1 more entrant before opening and will probably last like 2 months. So yeah, I have stuff to do here on Christmas.

 

2. What are you doing for Christmas this year ?

Nothing special, really. I will just make some visits at friends and meet with my relatives, as they are coming here from another country. But most of the time, I will simply stay home, because the weather conditions are kinda bad.

 

3. What presents do you want for Christmas ?

Being an overly pragmatic person, I would definitely say cash money. My parents know that's what I want, my relatives know that's what I want, my parent's friends know that's what I want. I am currently undecided on what to buy, but it would surely be something of high valour, such as a laptop. So I'm currently saving money, not spending them. As for how much, I expect about 500 RON (120 euros, 160 dollars) total, but would like to get more.

 

4. What are you going to be doing on Christmas day ?

First, I will do my gargantuan math homework (already took me 2/3 of an A4 notebook and I am just halfway there). Then, when I would get bored of that, I would probably call my girlfriend, classmates and teachers (I'm not sure on that teacher part yet) and wish them a Merry Christmas (Crăciun fericit!). That done, I would just open my damn laptop and post on this forum while listening to music on Youtube all day long. I would probably go to sleep at 1 AM, because it's HOLIDAY.

 

5. Which is better your birthday or Christmas and why ?

Definitely Christmas. And I have 2 reason for that. Reason 1: I deeply hate low weather and snow, and here in Romania the temperature is a lot lower in February (the month I am born in) than in December. Reason 2: During Christmas I finally get some free lone time to spend with myself and no one else. During my birthday, I would have to worry about spending time with my classmates & school.

 

6. What is your favourite part of Christmas ?

The Christmas Eve, for a rather cynical reason. You see, a lot of people get drunk or freeze during it, so my parents, which are doctors, are requested all day to take care of them. That gives me a lot of freedom, as they would usually depart at sunrise and come home late at night.

 

7. Will you visit YCM on Christmas day and a reason why ?

It's one of the things that I do most of the time: visiting YCM. I enter every day, and a reason for that would be that I am not a member of any other forum, and the only game I play online is Poker. So yeah, in between messenger conversations and heads-up games, there is always time for a round of posting on YCM. I like this forum because it is pretty complete, not being about Yugioh and nothing else. It is simply self-sufficient.

 

8. What was the nicest thing you did this year?

I helped one of my buddies get a girlfriend. I must say it was pretty damn hard, but I succeeded at last. I cannot say that didn't help me, as now many people I know entrust me with their secrets, knowing that I would care and help them. If you're asking what was the nicest thing I did for YCM this year, well, I joined! Does that count?

 

9. What was the naughtiest thing you did this year?

Hard question..I mean, should I say the truth or...damn it, I will be sincere. It was during a Chemistry class. We have a terrible teacher. She treats us 8th graders as 8 year old's, has an overly annoying voice and puts high grades to my dumb classmates just because they learned the lesson learned just 2 days ago. One day, she was talking about Isotopes. One of my classmates said "Yes, exactly" (and nothing more) to a question, and was rewarded with a 10 for that. I just couldn't stand the unfairness and started talking, without priorly raising my hand. "Unbelievable! Simply unbelievable! You could have asked about the chemical reaction speed of heavier isotopes, you could have asked about how do more Neutrons affect the Strong Force, you could have asked about the pairing effect stability, but no! You did what you always do: ask a yes or no question to which the answer is always yes! This is simply unfair! Do you really do this just to make things easier to yourself, to put grades faster? I've come to school to learn, not to get 10s for nothing." After that, of course, the teacher was pissed off and talked to my Class Master. Fortunately enough, the Class Master likes me, so I didn't even get warned.

 

10. . If you could change one thing about Christmas, what would it be?

First, I would officially name it Xmas, because Christmas sounds to...Christian. Then, I would move it on April, because, as I mentioned about 3 times before, I have low temperature, and I wanna be happy during Christmas. And above all those, I would be a supplementary April holiday, so I wouldn't have to go to school. Also, as harsh and awkward as this would sound for many, I would ban Christmas trees. Being as pragmatic as I am, I find Christmas trees useless.

I'm trying to go spend some time with my family of course, so I might not be on so much.

Brother's coming over. Family together. Going to the museum :/

Possibly yeah. Christmas only lasts about an hour or so for my family. Not so special.

Well for once, I cooked the meals for my family...

Spent most of my life on the internet .-.

What we always do. Wake up early, open our gifts, have fun, go out to eat, then sleep.

I've been want--NEEDING a new Laptop. And an iPod Touch.

Eating out with family. Thats what we always do.

Christmas, I can hang out with the cool part of my family that way.

Helped some kid out in a fight. He was getting jumped/picked on, what was I supposed to do.

You need some questions that are not simply just Yes and No, you need to get questions that get the interviewee talking, like, in depth. Use The 5 W's if you need to, which usually get those being interviewed talking, giving you a good deal of info.
