JG.
Counterparts. I simple idea with a simple mechanism. It's a bit like the Dark versions of existing monsters, but an actual game mechanism. Read on, and learn. I'll expand, dont worry. I had to invent some of my own OCG, obviously, but I think it sounds real enough? Spirit ReversalSpell CardTribute all monsters you control that have a Counterpart. Counterpart Summon the Counterparts of the Tributed cards from your hand or Deck. Dream Fairy***LIGHTFairy/Tuner500/1500The Counterpart of this card is "Nightmare Demon". While this card is on the field, all "Dream" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle, unless the attacking monster is a "Nightmare" monster. Nightmare Demon***DARKFiend/Tuner1400/100The Counterpart of this card is "Dream Fairy". Once per turn, by Tributing 1 monster you control, you can select 1 "Dream" monster on the field. The selected monster has its ATK decreased to 0, and it cannot attack or change Battle Positions. Twilight SwitchTrap CardThis cards name is treated as "Spirit Reversal". Tribute all monsters you control that have a Counterpart. Special Summon the Counterparts of the Tributed cards from your hand or Deck, and increase the ATK of the Special Summoned monsters by 300. Twilight Tyrant******DARKSpellcaster/Effect2200/1700If you control 2 or more monsters that have a Counterpart, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. While this card is on the field, monsters that were Counterpart Summoned cannot be destroyed by battle. Dream Slicer Knight*******LIGHTFairy/Effect2600/2100The Counterpart of this card is "Knightmare of Chaos". This card is also treated as a Warrior-Type monster. When this card attacks, flip a coin, and activate one of the following effects. •Heads: If the monster is in Defense Position, this card inflicts Piercing Damage. •Tails: Increase the ATK of this card by 500 until the End Phase, but this card cannot be Tributed for a Counterpart Summon this turn. Knightmare of Chaos*******DARKFiend/Effect3000/1200The Counterpart of this card is "Dream Slicer Knight". This card is also treated as a Warrior-Type monster. When this card is Summoned, flip a coin, and activate one of the following effects. •Heads: This card inflicts Piercing Damage. •Tails: The original ATK of this card becomes 2500. If you destroy 2 or more monsters in 1 turn while this card is on the field, you can add 1 "Nightmare" monster from your Graveyard to your hand. EDIT: I have also added a new type of Summon, Counterpart Summon, but it's basically just a Special Summon, I created it to make wording easier for myself ;D I also changed the OCG a bit.
