[align=center]Yugioh will never be the same.....

 

So let me explain what i've been doing over the past few weeks. While working on my ROTH (Return of the Hero) set, I had an idea. Why not remake the entire Yugioh card game from scratch?! I went with it....and this 100 card opening set is the result.

 

This will be a 100 card set that is placed into a fresh new YVD.set file. So yes, this will all be YVD based. Every card you know and love...MST, Heavy Storm, the Lightsworns, Blackwings, Glad Beasts, EVERYTHING IS GONE!

 

This set took me FOREVER to finish...especially since I thought of everything on my own...but I hope people will actually WANT TO USE IT.

 

Below, you can find explanations of the new Archtypes and play styles of this set. Also, a few rules have been tweaked. Such as Fusion Summoning since Polymerization no longer exists.

[spoiler=Archtypes][spoiler=Fantasy Heroes]The Fantasy Heroes are an Archtype that is truely the definition of Team Work. Their hidden abilities activate when there are several of them in play. They're big on Special Summoning as well.

 

[spoiler=Kematian]The Arch-Enemies of the Fantasy Heroes. These monsters are also big on Team Work. But unlike the Heroes who rely on Speed, these monsters are big on destructive effects.

 

[spoiler=Strider Tech]More like a mini-series. These 4 monsters are Spell and Trap negators. Yet, they're unique as to how they go about negation.

 

[spoiler=Dracon]The "Crystal Beasts" of this new Set. They follow the same path as the CBs as they can be put in the Spell and Trap Card Zone when destroyed, however.....rather than relying on Spell and Trap Support, they're own hidden talents activate while in the S/T Zones.

 

[spoiler=Spider]A whole Archtype of Spiders...creepy huh? These nasty critters invoke different effects on monsters with Spider Venom Counters on them. The type of effect invoked varies with the Spiders in play.

 

 

[spoiler=Altered Gameplay Mechanics][spoiler=Fusion Summoning]Since "Polymerization" no longer exists, Fusion Summoning will now be done Pseudo-Gladiator Beast Style. With every monster required on the field, you can send them all to the Graveyard to Fusion Summon.

 

[spoiler=Comparing Fusions and Synchros]With Fusions and Synchros possessing near-similar Summoning Styles now, a balance in power was required.

Fusions = High ATK and DEF with bad-Mediocre effects.

Synchros = Very Low ATK and DEF, Low Leveled (2 - 5), but with Exceptional Abilities.

What's the problem with short effects? I find that the most basic cards are the most fun. I duel for fun, so instead of an entire combo being listed on one card, I like using multiple cards to pull it off because I can enjoy it more that way. Besides, some of the most basic cards are some of the best in YGO. Krebons for example?
